It's according to what the definition of "own" is .

If Cindy earned the money, then made all the decisions about how to spend it, and also decided which homes to buy and which homes to live in, maybe John McCain has a defense because he don't make any decisions in a relationship where he is the kept partner,

Either that or his dementia is worse then most realize.

My Saturday morning insomniac's prayer: Dear Baby Jesus, on Wednesday I asked you to stop Obama from picking bloviatin' plagiarizin' gaffemeister Joe Biden. Why have you forsaken us? Biden authorized the War, has insulted virtually every non-white constituency, hasn't ever been anything other than a Senator, has praised McCain and dissed Obama on the airwaves, and has paid for a very bad simulation of hair. Please dear baby Jesus, enlighten us on this Veep selection! Did you give Obama the OK on this when he prayed "on" you?! Is it true that you won't give us more pain than we can handle?

I still say the issue with the McCain's owning 7 or12 or 13 homes is that he is so out of touch that he has no sympathy for the American people who are struggling to pay their mortgage payments and more people than ever are in foreclosure. The housing market is in far worse shape than the Bush administration admits. The Orange County Register which is one of the worst right wing rags in the country, had a story two weeks about a home in Santa Ana being resold that had been featured in a story in 2006. In 2006, the house sold for $540,000. They only received $270,000 for it two weeks ago. Housing prices have fallen by 50%. Another words, the housing market isn't bad, it isn't in deep trouble, the bottom has fallen out of the market and it is in free fall and almost all newer homes are threatened. McCain is out of touch since none of their homes are threatened except for those that they neglected to pay taxes on.

By the way, the Obama's bought their house only recently. Who really owns the Obama house, do they or the bank. I seriously doubt though that the McCain's owe any money to the bank for any of the homes they own. Yes, one of their houses was nearly foreclosed on, but that was due to being 4 years in arrears in taxes and that was criminal negligence not due to financial hardship. McCain is out of touch with the common people of America. McCain admits he knows nothing about the economy. Is this a man who we want to be in charge of the nation?

Something Oberman pointed out last night on Countdown - McCain doesn't now and never has taken care of his own finances (this from a brother). So he has no real concept of finances at all. He's senile, never balanced a checkbook and wants us to be involved in never ending wars - heaven help us!
