Read it carefully, you vicious idiot. The rioters killed 140 (and the number is climbing as a lot more were injured), not 140 killed while police tried to put down the riot down.

The point rarely commented on is the racist tribalism of Chinese so-called Communism. It's the Han running things, it's the Han privileged in job opportunity and promotion, it's the Han settling into (former) Tibet, it's the Han . . . civilized? perhaps not. Oportunistic racism? More likely. A rewrite of Chinese history is in order.

140 "rioters" killed? Perhaps we should read a bit into the recent ethnic tension in Canton province before laying assumptions.

in Just one night -- 1000 crazy muslim nuts/uighurs seperatists rioters and 140 shot dead and 300 arrrests and 90 more after by the police and 800 casualties -- wow! That will sure teach those seperatists muslim nuts and tibetan monk nuts a serious lesson!

God bless this hopeless Uighur people, 2009.6.26, thousands of Chinese Hitay brutals attack 120 Uighur labors (most of them are women) in Guangdong ,apparently under the consent of Chinese communist officials, because this brutal event lasted whole night, and reported only 2 died, actually more than 60 people are beat to death by iron batons and others heavily injured, and all Chinese are cheerfully watching them to die.(You can find evidence from the www.youtube.com) These Uighur workers are forcefully moved by Chinese government to Guangdong province.

2009.7.5 mostly the relatives of the 120 Uighur workers about 1000 people hold a peaceful demonstration, asks Chinese government to investigate that event, but within minutes 140 Uighur people are died, 828 people injured. Anybody can imagine what has happened there.

Why somebody still blame everything for America or always wants to find another scapegoat. Does somebody want to be ruled by Chinese????????????? And have a taste of it….

I am a Chinese girl. And I love my motherland very much just as you do. I just want to say we don't blame this riot for any other country. And we know how to deal with it. In addition, I want to tell you that if you have no idea about my country, please don't speak ill of it and its people.

like how America doesn't give a damm about Mexicans and the people they bomb in Iraq

Please get your facts right. Most of the 156 dead were Han Chinese and were killed by Uyghur rioters. They died of slash wounds by swords. In Xinjiang - a part of China for longer than America has existed - Uyghurs are allowed to carry knives because of their religion, but Han Chinese aren't. China has the same reverse-racism laws that many western countries have. The Uyghur rioters are fighting for independence as a separate Islamic state, the same as what is happening in Kashmir, Chechnya, southern Thailand, Israel, southern Philippines. China is fighting the same war on terror as America against Muslim terrorists. The US government itself recognizes that the East Turkestan Islamic Party as a terrorist organization. Terrorism is uncommon in China, but not unheard of. Last year, Islamic separatist terrorists blew up a bus killing 17 Han Chinese just before the Olympics. It is a shame that the western mainstream media has twisted facts on its head - imagine what Americans would think if other countries turned 9/11 on its head and said it was America's fault. It is time for civilized countries: USA, China, India, Russia, Israel (etc) unite against the common threat of Islamic terrorism.

Dear All Rational/ Sane People,

The issue on which we are commenting or blogging is rioting and terrorizing by Uighur Muslims and it's aftermath. Everyone should know that matters of riot are never peaceful and usually results in pain for society as a whole. First thing is to take a side. Whose side should people take? Muslims who are responsible for terrorism in entire world since it’s inception and from to date indulge in faith based attacks on innocents resulting in things like 9/11, Mumbai attacks, Massacre of Israelis and countless similar instances in entire world where there are Muslims. It is a known fact that Muslims kill people of other faith because of their faith. Would anyone stand for Muslms? Would anyone think of residing in a Muslim Infested country like IRAN, IRAQ, SAUDI etc with belief that his faith would never be questioned? Why are Muslims (People like Rubiya Kadeer, harbored by US) silent on IRAN's Ahmedinijad, Taliban, Al Quaeda who are greatest threat to existence of world? Why do they raise voice when justice has been meted to terrorists out under a system which is reliable and humane unlike barbaric and macabre SHARIA?

Please stand up for truth, peace, and reject people like Ribiya Kadeer and wolves in sheep clothing in our own society who advocate Islam. It is time to unite against the barbaric religion whose people have not mended as times changed and still take pride and have faith in same macabre thing (Violence, Rape, Murder, Loot) that SATAN Muhammed did to propagate the religion. We cannot live under ever looming threat of FAITH BASED TERRORISM which is taught since childhood to each and every Muslim and faithfully practiced by Muslims.
