I think the new comment system is pretty cool.

. Now if I don't give a shit about anything going on below I can just reply to the top post and hijack the comments.
chandler_in_lasvegas

. Chandler that was brilliant! Mimsey posted a reply way down below but now people are reading me as I can reroute the conversation. Did I mention I hate threaded conversations. I never post at Kos because I can never find my prior posts.
chandler_in_lasvegas

. I can even leave multiple replies to posts I have made.

Dave, there seems to be a lot more lag time between comments. I don't know if it's because of Disqus or if it's a slow night.
Dave of the Jungle

Doesn't seem much of a problem to me.
chandler_in_lasvegas

. Interesting. Plenty of new features. The first indent is a killer.

Google Ads in the MIDDLE of the comments?

chandler_in_lasvegas

. Haloscan had it's problems, but if you opened up the comments in a new window, the ads disappeared. It will take some time to figure out the work around. And Haloscan notified you that posts had been made.

. Lets see how skinny this column is going to get.

I bet specs is pissed because he has to use alpha numerics.

. OK, the time stamp has shifted into the comments space. Not a good thing. Welcome to Diskus Beta tester.
chandler_in_lasvegas

. Because the columns are fixed for the ads, if an individually nested thread has more than eight replies, the post gets fucked up.
chandler_in_lasvegas
. WOW, John, I cannot remember a conversation that went on for more than eight responses. LOL and I have not used LOL in over four years.
chandler_in_lasvegas
. Skinnier, and skinnier and skinnier. I wonder if it will get down to a one letter column?
chandler_in_lasvegas
. I just noticed that once you get down this far, and ad the right columns do not move even when we are this far down and there is nothing in the columns, that over half my screen is now empty white space but the comments are still being crammed against the first fixed edge.
chandler_in_lasvegas
. The time stamp has returned to its proper position ans I am now posting in vertical column. He everybody, I am a newspaper reporter.
chandler_in_lasvegas
. Now i know why I do not like this threaded thing. Even at Kos, I chose the unthreaded and I still cannot follow the posts.
chandler_in_lasvegas

. Did I mention that I can sing the entire Orthodox Liturgy in Greek? Well ALMOST.
chandler_in_lasvegas

chandler_in_lasvegas

Why not? It's fun to have the ads and revenues AND be in Greece/Europe instead of at the "Take Back America" conference.
Boring. Leave that to others.
Cheese 2.0! And its FREEE!

Change your "options" at this very post level. To "Sort thread by: Oldest First"
Discus will remember. Anyways it has for me.
Meanwhile - have you had your tea?

John... enjoy Paris. Down in this part of France the majority of the men over 50 wear berets. Do not see the younger men wearing them at all.

A beret inside? If he were a student of mine, it would be off the moment he walked in the door. (Just joking, but sometimes my Japanese students come to class with the weirdest things on their heads. That's when I pull the "No hats indoors!" trick. Just to see them go through the rigmarole of taking whatever it is off. Very entertaining.)

John,
What camera + film (if non digital) did you use for those shots. You have a good eye for framing your subjects very well, I'm impressed.

Actually, it's my regular old digital Canon Cybershot 700 - they're good cameras.
