There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!"
The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.
"Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill.
Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.
When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!"
But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.
Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!"
But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come.
At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.
"There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?"
An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.
"We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even [if bush] is telling the truth!"

NBC mulling over replacing Brokow on Meet the Press......it is leaning toward an ensemble of hosts that would be led by Chuck Todd, NBC’s political director, and include David Gregory,
David Gregory has friends in high places. I can't stand the guy. His exuberance for Republicans is way over the top. I turn to CNN when Gregory's program is on. But it won't matter what I think, Gregory will be promoted and he will fail due to his overwhelming biased delivery.

David Gregory is a colossal joke.

Greg is a WHORE on TV with no journalistic skills or integrity.
I remember back in the day when he would have hard questions for Scotty McLiar and the rest of the CONs during press conferences. Then he just backed off and acted like any other WHORE on TV.
The best satisfaction I get every is hearing stories about how LESS and LESS people watch cable news and instead rely on the internet.
Gregory who?

It's clear that McCain is having/had a right hemishpere TIA(mini-stroke). The droppy left eye and the slightly droopy left side of his mouth. A right brain TIA will cause symptoms on the left side of the body. It will also cause the person to be impulsive and confused.

That's been my theory about the eye too, but I think you're right: the mouth also droops slightly in the corner. Meanwhile, the media has been protecting McCain from having to reveal his full medical records. Many physicians have been concerned about his melanoma history, and I would like to know if he has ever received any psychiatric care. The appearance of TIAs mandates that we have his most recent examination results as well.

I think this election has taught us one thing. As bad as Bush has been, and he's been AWFUL, can you imagine the even bigger mess we'd be in now if this crazy old kook had been in the Oval Office the last eight years? Our country might not even exist anymore. Frightening.

OK, this is a decidedly minor criticism, but I really have a thing about people using screen grabs to malign anybody, regardless of who it is. I believe traditional video in North America captures images at 30 frames per second, and hi-def video captures at 60 frames per second (I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone will correct me, but for now, let's assume I'm right or at least in the ballpark). Have you ever just taken bad picture? In the middle of a blink so you look stoned? In the process of turning your head, so one size seems bulged out and your eyes are to the side so it looks like you got caught banging your neighbor's dog? Well, video takes the opportunity to capture an image like that and multiplies it by 30 or 60. It's as unfair an exercise as when tabloids, for example, find a picture of a celebrity shouting to a faraway friend in a noisy area, and use that image in an article to imply said celebrity is "out of control," and hell, the celebrity is screaming, eyes wide, gesturing wildly, why it must be true!
McCain is saying or doing plenty of dumb stuff on his own, and yeah, for the most part, he looks tired and haggard, but to take a video still, out of potentially millions of stills (if I'm right about hi-def, that means one minute of footage alone is comprised of 3600 images), and use it to comment on how someone looks in general is beyond unfair.
In short, I think Americablog is better than that, and it only serves to risk belittling valid points later on
OK, I'm off my soapbox now.

(CNN) – Sarah Palin may just be the next Ronald Reagan or Bill Clinton — two previous governors underestimated by the national media who went on to win the White House, John McCain said Monday.d enough to vote for him. Now he says Palin could be the next Reagan or Clinton.
