FOLKS - turn on K.O. now!

    VERY special comment
  • Webster · 1 year ago
That was an amazing, amazing commentary. The transcript of that should be copied out and delivered to every Knights of Columbus office, every Mormon church, and the headquarters of Focus on the Family should be inundated. What a grand human being K.O. is. This is what it means to be an American and a caring human being.

Obama needs to stop this shit day 1.

Change and the future is not putting any more taxpayer money into the likes of AIG. Let it fail and if the market collapses around it then rebuild from the ground up.

Trying to prop up failed institutions suppported by their rotted pillars of greed and wealth for only a very select few simply will not do.

How many fellow Americans toil at work all day long all so that they can pay taxes hoping and praying that China's standard of living rises, that China's economy does not tumble and that China's unemployment rate is low, all while America falls apart.

FUCK China, Asia and all other European countries that need AIG to survive supported by US Taxpayer dollars. What can these countries do if the US taxpayer say fuck you?

Adding insult to injury America Express and American Express Travel Services tonight beame bank holding companies having their application approved by Treasury/FDIC in expedited fashion, thus, allowing these pigs to feed at the bailout trough.

I heard Halliburton, KBR and Blackwater will all soon be bank holding companies.

Then count on Liberty University, Bob Jones University and the Mormon church to become the first 501(c)(3) bank holding companies.

Also, do not be surpised if Exxon, the bankrupt shell that once was Enron, the Klu Klux Klan and the estate of Ken Lay becoming bank holding companies before 1/19/2009.

    the treasury now controls America.

when the automakers asked for cash, Pelosi and Reid BEGGED the treasury to help. The treasury has spent 3 trillion of our money (at least) and wont tell us who they gave it to. Henry Paulson is now the leader of the country, at least until Obama becomes President.

This is a very good example of Bush and his cronies stealing trillions before leaving office. Their wall street friends will take this money and probably put it in swiss banks for use by the Bush family et al in future decades.

Please tell John to post Olbermann's Speacial Comment PRONTO.
It's a tearjerker about the Prop 8 madness.

It was brilliant. As soon as the transcript is available, I intend to send copies to every Mormon church in my area, to the offices of the Knights of Columbus--and multiple copies to Dobson.

Of course they are careful with the money. Just this week they carefully spent $340K for a seminar:

Congress should invite the AIG executives to have another retreat in the Capitol Jail! Set an example and hold these executives in contempt!

It is unacceptable to allow this company to remain functioning! The first part of the bailout gave the feds 80%. I don't think its unreasonable to take the remaining 20%, by force if necessary after the additional money that has been poured into this so called company to keep it afloat! As for the CEO's, the one that allowed them to get in this condition, he should have nothing short of prison dealt to him. (Remember Enron?) And the one who is defending this current amazing act they managed to pull off, should quit while he's behind! To lavish anything upon potential customers, reps, or the like while your company is in trouble, is not only poor business, but can be viewed as nothing short of criminal. No one ever explained to us taxpayers what would have been the fall out if this company failed in the first place, and from the the way they choose to operate now, I don't think it would be that bad if we allowed it to go ahead and tank at this point. Grow something and assume complete ownership already and start cleaning house and then sell it off. You could get a good portion of the money back and put to use where it would do some good, like maybe those people who are losing there homes perhaps??!. If Paulsen wasn't preaching his rhetoric and lookin out for his good ole boys from Wall Street we wouldn't be complaining about this now. Someone should have told him NO and meant it!

When does this become a revolution? This is so pathetic. keeping these companies alive goes against every f'free market' concept. If we have to keep these companies alive to keep Chinese and other forigein banks happy, it's bullshit. Screw them, if they call in our debt, so what, we have plenty of abandoned factories and unemployed workers here to start making stuff here, to sustain us here. If the automakers want a bailout then shut down all overseas plants and start making cars HERE again. Make Walmart sell only goods made HERE. It's about protecting ourselves, We are in the midst of World War III, except it is a war fought with money and goods, not bombs. Wake up!
