This is interesting. Ahead of a Lieberman vote, the D's are bringing in Franken. The timing is....well....interesting. It looks to me like some serious anti-Lieberman factions are working to give Holy Joe the boot and god bless them.

Relating to the prop 8, why doesn't someone organize some a ballot measure for every states that will make all religious institutions responsible for all of their representative.

If some priest/preacher commits a sex crime against a minor, then unless the institution comes forward immediately, that institution would lose its tax status in that state for a minimum of 20 years. The normal criminal laws would also apply to the offender.

Some of you are lawyers, I am not. Just wondering what would happen if the mormons, catholic church, baptist, etc... were to wake up one morning and realize that if some church leader abused children, and they did nothing, then they would lose their tax status.

so the Democrats' choice for HS committee chairman tried to reduce the number of Democrats in the Senate, and tried to elect the opposition to the WH. In what alternate universe is tomorrow's caucus vote to disinvite Joe even necessary? What is the exact nature of Harry Reid's mental disorder? are we being pranked?

I would love to see Franken get Coleman's seat. Al, is an honest, serious guy and I think he would do a terrific job for Minnesota.

On the other hand, Lieberman should at the very least, be stripped of his chairmanship. Mark Shields has an excellent column in my newspaper this am outlining just why Joe should go away.

Joe: I can't link Mark Shields column to this section--but it appears in the Springfield Mass. Republican--it is worth reading.

I can just hear Franken: "He stumped for my Republican opponent. What makes you sure he won't do the same thing to you?"

If Lieberman gets the boot tomorrow, it will be the second tuesday in one month that I'm going to be celebrating.
Maybe Stevens and Coleman will also meet their demise on a tuesday.
November is shaping up as my new favorite month.
