Congrats, Sarah!
Reading Politico and found this. Seems Dems have jumped all over this comment from McCain, Now if they would PLEASE make an ad using the last part of that statement. "frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have"
McCain was defending his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, population 9,800. Asked by Judy Woodruff of PBS about Palin's stint as “a small-town mayor,” McCain replied: “Listen, mayors have the toughest job, I think, in America. It's easy for me to go to Washington and, frankly, be somewhat divorced from the day-to-day challenges people have.”
So, we can see why she doesn't want kids to be warned about molestation.

This Is How You Stick It To Lying Republican Hacks

How about making folks hit by drunk drivers pay for the damages to the cars that hit them? Yeah, that's fair!

1. Palin ad, will she protect women's rights and safety?
Picture of Palin in church: "Governor Palin represents an extreme view of women and their lack of rights. She is free to hold these beliefs for herself but do you want her to impose them on you?"
Governor Palin opposes the teaching of sex education other than abstinence only in Alaska's schools. (Picture of students in class) Perhaps that is one reason why Alaska has one of the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancy in the United States. (Flash stats for various diseases and pregnancy rate.)
Governor Palin does not believe that any women whether she be an adult or a 12 year old child should have the right to choose an abortion if impregnated from rape or incest. Alaska has the highest rate rape of any state in our country and 25% of those cases result in pregnancy. However, Governor Palin would force a twelve year old girl, brutally raped to have that child. Indeed, as Mayor,Ms. Palin would force that little child or her family to pay for the rape kit to preserve evidence to identify and prosecute the rapist. Do you honestly think she would offer to cover the medical necessary for the pregnancy?" (Against background picture of the Wassilla mayor's office.)
Think carefully this election year, the safety and health of your children depend upon it.
2. McCain and women's rights: Picture of a very angry McCain:
Senator McCain has voted against every single bill presented to assure equality of pay for the same work between men and women. (Scroll bills voted against) Senator McCain says that he accepts the concept of equality in pay. However, in practice, he just does not care.
Senator McCain's running mate charged rape victims for the cost of rape kits essential in gathering and maintaining evidence to identify and prosecute the offender. Senator McCain voted against legislation in Congress to outlaw this practice.
Senator McCain stands on the Republican platform that would outlaw all abortion even in the case rape or incest.. Senator McCain chose a running mate who said that she would not permit abortion even if her own daughter became pregnant when raped.
Is this really the kind of support that women should have from their president and vice president?
That's messed up.
Could that account for the high rapes?
And also the hate and anger Palin displayed at the RNC convention?
And the sad thing is that we have carried that unfortunate distinction since the early seventies.
I actually used to teach a women's self defense course and I can tell you that some of the stories I heard were heartbreaking.
