AMERICAblog: Alzheimer's breakthrough study

  • The Tim Channel · 8 months ago
An internally infectious protein that can't infect anybody else? AIDS on the brain? There's so much crap out there that can depress and kill you it's a wonder I keep in such a good mood? Screw all the bad stuff since it's inevitable anyway. Party on.

    Enjoy.

It's my firmly held belief that marijuana confuses the tangles, disrupts them and makes them forget to do the damage they were intending to do. I'm pretty much donating my body to science in a lifelong attempt to see if I'm right about this.

    Enjoy.

So much heartache could be avoided if we could just prevent Young Republicans from forming while young.

My grandma had Alzheimer's and it was devastating for our family.

I know its not infectious, but I'm pretty sure I have a few 'neurofibrillary tangles' in my brain already.

So this is great news for me!

Good news/bad news. The rate of dementia rises as the baby boomer generation enters its seniority, absorbing resources as they age. Hopefully, once the economy turns around in 2017 or so, the economic resources will be enough to meet the increased demand for intensive care facilities. Hopefully.

My father passed from Alzheimers and several dear older friends and as those who have been exposed to this illness know it is a slow death. The person we saw as a vibrant human being is reduced to a zombie like state and if they are lucky to be able to communicate with us it is through Gods grace. My dad was at a VA hospital and if not for the care and compassion of Dr. John Boatwright at the Salem VA Hospital we would have probably had to take care of him at home. My heart goes out to any of your readers who has a relative or a friend who is already exhibiting the sumptoms and remember you are not alone so reach out to organizations that can provide you strength and information.

Whoa. Look at all the CYA language in that story.

However read carefully. The experiment consisted of taking brain juice from a mouse with tangles, and injecting into the brain of a mouse without, who then got the tangles.

This is EXACTLY the experiment that they did to demonstrate that CJD proteins were infectious, aka "Prions" The article is misleading in that they say that it isn't the same thing. Well of course its not the same kind of prion anymore than a cold virus is the same as the flu virus. But they are both still viruses.

Now you have to wonder... why is Alzheimer's increasing? Is it just because people live longer, or are people being exposed to these new prions? I.e. is this Mad Cow II?

That would be standard science, because it is impossible to determine something to 100% certainty, regardless of how the popular press and/or blogs decide to make it seem.

Murder, Torture, Lies, Cover-ups, Pay-offs and Risperdal
No this isn't the nightly news, but it should be since it contains all of the above topics. I've sent this link to all the national media outlets, but evidently the elderly in this country aren't as important as "Octomom" or "Jon and Kate."
Please go to www.lakelandtimes.com and enter the word "Risperdal" into the Search Box. Seven articles should pop up based on what happened to my Dad and thousands of dementia and Alzheimer's patients across the country.
My Dad was murdered and tortured by the drug Risperdal. The lies and cover-ups came from medical "professionals", State agencies, the nursing home reps and national organizations proclaming to advocate for helpless elderly people with dementia and Alzheimer's. The pay-offs are from big drug companies making it easy for the above to look the other way.
The investigation continues by this brave little paper and local reporter.

Its not that complicated. The issue of Alzheimer is the colloidal plaque found in every autopsy.

India has the lowest incidence of Alzheimer basically its almost unheard of because of their diet. There's research that the solution is the CURRY. Curry (Turmeric) is a very powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant.

Its cheap and you have nothing to lose if you try it and see how well it works. Big Pharma will try to sell you some infection theory when its been proven in autopsies that the common denominator are the colloidal plaques in the brain.

Get to a local food store and save your loved ones.

I sell teas and herbs at a weekend flea market on the weekends here in FL. Tumeric is one of the herbs I sell, many people cap it themselves and take it. Gee? I sell it for $2 a bag!! Who knew??? I'm going to start taking it myself. Also, I have read really good things on the marijuana studies for treating Alzheimer's. If you start smoking, supposedly, it won't get worse and may even get better. Jack Herer treated his mother with it and she did quite well, until she went back to another state and her husband made her discontinue smoking!! She went right down the tubes after that. Sad

Could there be a dementia correlation between countries where the population eats large quatities of red meat and fat and those that don't? The more red meat you eat the more likely it is that you get alzheimers.

My elementary teacher wife was diagnosed with early onset dementia at age 49 years ago. Based on her background, I feel several factors have not positively affected her: 12 cans of diet soda daily (aspartame), 2 bouts with breast cancer (chemo and radiation), thyroid removal,
multiple diagnostic scans. She is not yet a nursing home candidate and I will be her caregiver as long as possible having to do nearly everything for her to get through each day.
I feel that the turmeric, B12 shots, fish oil, vitamin, huperzine A combination has helped delay the inevitable decline. There was some attention given to Niacin and the positive effect on rats with dementia, but the side effects were not well tolerated by her. At this time nothing can stop the trainwreck of dementia. Low barometric pressure negatively affects her. Life is for living, so live it while you have it. Too late comes too soon.
