AMERICAblog: An addendum to Clinton's letter to superdelegates

Watching "Hardball" and David Gregory try to defend the supposed "Liberal Media." He is talking about Scott McClellan and claiming he was wrong to say the media didn't call the Bush Administration on their lies and propaganda. Of course, he defends himself and his buddies. WOW, we get to see the media cover their asses BIG TIME! Now that little sputtering Politico toad is also defending the traditional media being deferential. I think the argument has already been won by us on the left by PRESIDENTIAL SPOKESPERSON, Scott McClellan, saying its all a big facade, and PROVING what we've said all along.

Chris Matthews is also trying to pretend to play HARDBALL with Ari Flescher and others. Chris, why didn't you play Hardball back when you were saying Bush shined with "sunny nobility?" Now, he is trying to play tough and act like he was playing Hardball all along? The press needs to remember this next time they believe some trash from Dana Perino, or John McCain.

I would be SO EMBARASSED, ASHAMED, GUILTY and HUMILIATED if I were part of the press who have let the White House roll them. This is a lesson to them to get tough and ask hard questions. Its too late for them to act all tough with Ari Flescher and friends now. They have cost our nation so much grief by allowing Bush and Rove to play our nation for so long.

Its time for us to get an independent press that will at least give the blogosphere credit for being RIGHT 100% about the Bush Administration!

I think there are a lot of BLOGS that do a better job as journalists than the MSM.

I think we have to stop calling the MSM journalists since they don't practice journalism anymore. Enablers. Infortainers. Clowns. Government Lap Dogs maybe?

The Scott McClellan book brings us back to several important truths:

    A. The blogsophere was RIGHT 100% regarding the rush to war and McClellan, himiself, claims the White House Press Corps give the President too much deference.
    B. The blogosphere was RIGHT 100% about the CIA leak, and proves Rove and Cheney were behind the leak all along. Rove/Cheney should be sitting in jail right now.
    C. Although McClellan is right to finally come clean, he should have resigned in protest rather than act duped by Rove/Cheney by buying their crap re: Plame.

The biggest losers the American People. The biggest criminals? Our journalists and big media who we rely on to get to the bottom of the truth, instead of kissing the President's ass.

As far as Clinton is concerned. She is just MORE OF THE SAME. Our country needs CHANGE and the bigger the change the better, and more change is represented by Obama.

McSame and Clinton are just more of the same ol' same ol' that got us into this mess in the first place.

The Scott McClellan book should set off a congressional firestorm. If our Democratic representatives are doing their job this will cause a NUMBER of oversight investigations INCLUDING possible impeachment of Vice President Cheney.
  • zavlin · 1 year ago
clearly rove is still setting the agenda for catchphrases ,Dana perino: "Scott, we now know, is disgruntled about his experience at the White House," she said. "For those of us who fully supported him, before, during and after he was press secretary, we are puzzled. It is sad - this is not the Scott we knew."
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
McClellan is stating what we in the blogosphere have said from day one. The media is NOT asking the hard questions. The media simply throws softballs and allows Bush and his administration to snow ball the American people because the media has corporate interests at heart, rather than the good of the American people.

Anyone notice the John McCain for President ad to the right? Was that when he was like 40 years old or something? Are they trying to make people think he's younger? Can I stop giggling now or should I just continue?

Stay tuned, I am trying to get a link to the screenshot I took...

    Here ya go: http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn195/moxieg...

Oh, now the media is crying its all unfair Scott McClellan said they were too deferential. Yea, how typical. Trying to protect their asses when the Bush Administration, via Scott McClellan, finally tells the truth about how the media kisses their asses at the expense of the American people. I'm watching David Gregory try to claim they were tough enough on Bush when its so obvious they weren't.

Watching this all unfold on Hardball.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
David Gregory was, in fairness, a little less of a wuss than most of his colleagues, so I guess he's right to get defensive. But only a little "right."

Who did the rap dance with Rove our esteemed turn Gregory.

True--I forgot about that shameful episode.

Dang! Ari Flescher is getting OLD looking! Watching him try to protect his legacy on Hardball. I guess his conscious is taking a toll on Flescher.

I recall numerous polls in the Summer of 1988 indicating Dukakis was set to mop the electoral college floor with Bush Senior, the question mainly being asked by the 'Punditry" at the time was simply by how much.
    Hey Hillary...
Mike's on the phone, he wants to talk to you how that worked out for him.

Scott McCellan just proves the REPUBLICAN PARTY are just as bad as the Soveit Union! REPUBLICAN PARTY = PROPAGANDA PARTY
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
But Hillary is doing it for the little girls (and boys)! We don't want to make all those little kids cry, do we, by picking Obama and rejecting Hillary?! AND those thousands of OLD, OLD ladies who couldn't vote for a President until 1920, when they were, well, younger than 18 and had to wait until they were 18! And, look here, Karl Rove says she can win against Grumpy Old Man! He has THE math!! And he was right in 2006, right, so let's let him dictate this primary outcome!!!

Clintons made it pretty clear shes not going to walk away until the curtain falls on top of her. Unless she loses all of her super delegates, or the party leadership comes down on her hard, shes just not going to stop, ever.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Joe, she didn't put up a "good fight." She (and Bill and their henchmen) put up a dirty, mendacious, race-baiting, self-pitying, financially reckless, triangulating, wildly inconsistent, rhetorically unconvicing, bullying fight.
  • zavlin · 1 year ago
I feel like a broken record, but what this comes down to is that hillary clinton is playing this like a game of basketball(by her own admission) instead of an election. When youre down by 20 points in the 4th quarter you dont stop playing, you pull out all the stops and do what it takes to win. But this is not a game of basketball, "pulling out the stops" has real consequences and at some point she needs to join the real world where we're all on the same team. Its beyond frustrating to watch her continue to flop around.

I think this story is huge! I hope it gets the attention it deserves from the from those phonies in the corporate media.
But, a white blond girl will probably turn up missing any minute now.

i dont have a link, but there was a really funny diary this morning over at kos with superdelegate reply to mrs clinton's letter.

david gregory, who made his bones during the oj trial, was, is and always will be a tool.

Who would of thunk? Scotty is spilling the beans! This is really going to hurt McSame - bomb, bomb, Iran. And, it is taking Hillary and all her shennanigans off the news.
  • ObamaFreedomEagle · 1 year ago
When Billary threatened violence against Obama, that crossed a line for me. I will never again look the other way when a Clinton lies and perjures themselves to the American public. It's shameful to think these creeps got elected as Democrats. Anyone still supporting this biit*h has to explain why they've embraced pure evil and bigotry. I don't want these slime anywhere near the Obama campaign.

Has this woman lost her mind? Someone, please tell me what goes through this woman's mind when she's calling the superdelegates saying, "Hey, Rove is the expert, and if he says I'll win...then I'll win."

So what would she do is she was running agains McCain in the fall ,and Rove put out a report saying she was"dodo"?

    Come on, Waxman, et al.

sHIllary is like the CRAZY ex girlfriend who just can't let go.

Is she so removed from reality that she really doesn't get that she lost and will not get the nomination no matter what?

Hillary and Bill pushing the right for the votes in Florida and Michigan to be counted.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/05/28/clinto...

They claim they have been punished enough.

If i think back to the Gore election when it was stolen I don't recall a single comment from Bill and Hillary how Gore got screwed or how all the votes in Florida should have been counted. Amazing that they fit the argument to only cover their signing an agreement that if Florida and Michigan moved their Primary dates they would not be counted.

Why didn't you fight for Gore, Hillary, not relevant enough for you?

I still want to know why NOBODY is talking about ALL the votes that Hill got from the Republican voters in states with the open primaries. She wouldn't have won several of the states she did if it wasn't for this. These voters have NO intention of voting for Hillary in November if she somehow manages to sneak in there. I bring this up no only because I know it to be true... but I've also had personal experience with it. I was just causally talking about the election with a co-worker the other week and mentioned this scenario. Another co-worker walked in and said, "Yep, that's what I did. I voted for Hillary - but she'll not get my vote in the fall."

This has to represent a SERIOUSLY large number of votes that Hillary has received. Why is nobody talking about it? Take away the republican vote for Hillary just to keep her in this mess and Barack is light years ahead.
