clinton supporters are shifting focus to the "dream ticket". this will involve trashing john edwards and the other good veep potentials. let's not overreact the way we overreacted to the indiana and WV speeches. this too shall pass.

You are right on the money with this one, buddy.

hillary is waiting until the last possible moment to concede. she's doing this in the event that mccain is the next president. that way she can say that she tried to tell us, she stayed in as long as she could, to try and warn us that she was the best candidate.

I hope that Obama NEVER takes Hillary as his VP. She has shown her ugly, true colors, and with her high negatives, the rethuglicans will swarm to the voting stations, to vote against her.

OT, but important. The US is not making an issue about this, but it has been discovered that the weapons found in Iraq were NOT made in Iran.
So let's not jump to wrong conclusions, once again.
Do not believe the Bush regime, Liebermann, and other neocons, who are
gung ho about attacking Iran. Fool me once....

Hillary can still win this thing! There's an article at the NYT which basically lists four conditions that Hillary would need in order to win. Oregon breaking off and falling into the ocean inexplicably abs-- Oh wait, there it is.

/Yes, I stole it from Fark.

Let's hope this isn't going to be like Cheney's last throes of Iraq.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
I'd be astonished and disappointed if Obama picked Hillary for VP.

...just going through the motions. (??!!!?) The point being? To what end? Motions which benefit whom?? This is way beyond Glenn Close in the bathtub. It's even beyond Thelma and Louise driving off the cliff. It's even way, way beyond Gloria Swanson being ready for her closeup. It's pure retrogressive female vanity and is way out of place in this post feminist age. Women should recognize this old fashioned behavior for what it is and reject it, and her, resoundingly and permanently. It's simply scene stealing theatrics. It should been given no credit as anything else. It is politically meaningless.

    Whoa.

Who pissed in your Cheerios today?

This isn't a feminine thing. Huckabee stayed in, and last I heard, he's not a chick.

I hope this means that she is not going to try to move the goal posts on May 31 at the rules committee meeting. Obama has passed the 1900 mark now. According to Kos, he only needs 124 more delegate votes.

Hillary is all nicey, nice now. Sorry, too little, too late.
  • johnosahon · 1 year ago
Obama BLASTED those two fools just now, what a PRESIDENT.

THANK YOU bush, you have FINALLY done something for once in your life, you have help to UNITE the party and at the same time tie yourself with MCSAME.

    THANKS

Good god, Hillary and her people have known this since MARCH, when everyone else knew it! The issue is will they ACT as if they've lost and drop out or continue but only attack McCain,

"I hope that Obama NEVER takes Hillary as his VP. She has shown her ugly, true colors, and with her high negatives, the rethuglicans will swarm to the voting stations, to vote against her."

Totally right on!! And why reward her revolting campaign with the VP slot?

If Obama does pick her (although he seems too smart to) it will show me he is not at all what I thought.
  • ChicagoJim · 1 year ago
And yet she STILL took that poor Kentucky kid's bicycle and video game money -- and has the nerve to brag about it in her stump speech?! Just how morally depraved do you have to be to do that?!

BTW, don't you have to be of voting age to give $ to political campaigns?

Obama can't win without Hillary. So you guys need to make nice, or watch your guy go down in flames. She has the electoral college numers to win, he's not even close. She has the support of the majority of "Democratic" voters -- women -- he continues to piss women off with his "sweetie" comments. And the only reason he has gotten this far is because he's been parroting her words for months now.

John MsSame is not going to roll over because Obama wants him too. It will be a very tough general election, and without working class voters, women and latino's Obama simply can't win.

    To BAC:

Hillary would destroy his presidency!! It wouldn't even matter if she helped him get elected, because the presidency that followed would be nullified, because of her and Bill!! Anyone with any intelligence knows this.
  • BAC · 1 year ago
    To lov446:

I couldn't disagree more -- about your analysis of an Obama-Clinton White House, or of my intelligence.

If he doesn't add her to the ticket, and he loses, all the Hillary supporters (which are about half the Democratic party) will say "we told you so."

I don't think Obama can win without the full support of all the Hillary backers across the country. The only way to guarantee their involvement is to put her on the ticket.

I also don't think Obama is ready to be president on day one. We can already see the benefits of the education he has received from Hillary during this campaign. She can be just as valuable to him as a member of the administration.

More than 50 percent of Democrats think she should be on the ticket. If Obama wants to unify the party this would be an easy way to accomplish that goal.
