AMERICAblog: Anti-Obama book gets front page of Post and Times, anti-McCain book gets nothing

  • Bobby · 1 year ago
I think it's about time someone wrote a tell-all book about that fat fuck Jerome Corsi. What skeletons are in HIS closet? Secret gay trysts in public toilets? Drug abuse? Adultery? Financial impropriety. John or Joe should write a book. I promise to buy 20 copies
so it will go to Number One!

I'm sick of this biased media bullshit!
  • MoonDragon · 1 year ago
The Corsi screed got a free ride to the NYTBSL based on mass buys by rightwing outlets. It appears on their list so they pay attention. They're preening for the masses ("Lookit mah list")
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
It has become painfully obvious that the MSM has been taken over by the
right-wing corporate Republicans as their biased coverage indicates.
This take-over is a threat to our democracy.

WANT MORE PAIN???? VOTE McSAME !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know whether to post this here or below on Why Can't We Do This?, but I notice that a book by one of McCain's kids, a daughter, is coming out in a few weeks, something like "My Dad, John McCain". That will be fine and dandy with the MSM, but Barack Obama was pilloried because his two little daughters sat in on an interview Obama and Michelle did for a People-type magazine. The double standard is breath-taking.

The establishment is very afraid. The convulsions of a dying social system are never pleasant. They failed badly with those Bush people, twice.

Has wordwrap died in Disqus or am I being unfairly singled out for internet wierdness?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
nope, wordwrap isn't working for me either... PITA.

someone said its because the ads are gone on the disqus page... so the text just goes on forever.

What do we do in response? The Republicans created the liberal media bias through a false but well coordinated PR campaign.
We again will set back, roll over on our backs and spread our cheeks to take it up the ***. I keep leaning towards joining the
Republican party not because I believe in their ideas or governing philosophy but rather that it may be easier to change them
than to get us to do what it take to change the political environment.

In my dream world, Obama would pull of a stunning move where he teases the media with some conference about a VP announcement. Then he picks up a copy of Obama Nation and reads through it, page by page, refuting in his own words every smear made against him. I'm thinking it could either have the same effect as his race speech, or in a more comical vein be reminiscent of Andy Kaufmann's Great Gasdby reading.
  • anarchy · 1 year ago
    damn that liberal media!!

I've heard it's been said that Jerome Corsi is a pedophile,
    so pass it along.

(sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander)

why doesn't some third party organization dig up
John McCain's anti-America video made by the
Viet Cong and broadcast THAT for the people to
see? so fucking what if he was tortured, he said
it with his own voice didn't he?? I guess that his
bad-mouthing his country qualifies him to lead..
in some weird kind of Bizarro-world, that is.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
    Really??
I never heard he liked kids... actually I heard he beats kids whenever he gets the chance.
I heard he really likes certain animals.

be sure to pass this info on. its as much a fact as anything in his book.
  • pattyk · 1 year ago
The Times and the Post would say, well, the Obama book is a best-seller and so deserves front-page attention. However, the book is a sham best-seller. A spokesman for Media Matters made Corsi visibly uncomfortable on the Larry King show by noting several times that right-wing groups buy books like this in bulk. Do that just a few times and voila you have "best-sellers." The NYT is so naive. Clearly it needs to clean up its procedures for identifying best-sellers to distinguish the genuine ones -- i.e. one or two sold to a customer -- from the phonies. Take away bulk sales and Corsi's book would stand exposed as a laughable flop.

Yesterday Kamen of the Washington Post did an article about how everyone is focusing on Obama and no one cares about Meh-Cain. This just goes to show how sexy Obama is.
    He's "It" and Meh-Cain's "spit"
  • OKBlue · 1 year ago
Maybe we should have a buying campaign so that the anti-McCain is on top for Amazon. Then would they cover it?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
I didn't read the review yet... did they at LEAST have the honesty to point out that this Obama book was written by the same guy that slandered Kerry?

and that all his "facts" in the Kerry book were disproven or just blatant lies?

why should this book be any different?
  • Gorgonzola · 1 year ago
I can already visualise Dianne Sawyer with that brain dead expression on her face treating this as if it were serious literature.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
now now people... its a good coffee table book.

I'd use it to prop up the one short leg of the coffee table. good idea to keep one handy at resturants as well! never know
when you'll get one of those wobbly tables.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
... and the paper they printed it on is very absorbant as well.

think of the household savings of buying paper towels... if you only use one page for each spill, why buy paper towels?
it might last you a few months!

Politico has a good write up on Corsi here: (found via Huffington Post)

The CorporateM$M will do anything and everything they can to protect their bottom line. We no longer have journalism in this country--that died years ago--what we have is plutocratism.

Does anyone really think these huge companies are going to give a fair shake to anyone who might even hint at holding them accountable or might suggest there should be some regulation brought into the picture?

You bet they're behind McCain--and while they're there they're going to be stuffing as much adulation (and laundered cash) up McCain's wrinkled old posterior as they can. This is Reagan's legacy, this is what he was all about, and it was predicted back in 2002 in yet another neglected book, Reaganism and the Death of Representative Democracy by Walter Williams (Georgetown University Press).

We're out here alone with the truth in blog-land. Don't expect justice or journalism from the CorporateM$M. It's a wasteland.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
I told my friend yesterday that wingnuts and people who will not vote for O anyway are buying the book and they are proabaly buying them bulks.

I think the American people realizes that they were lied to, plus, people in their right minds do not want another Bush for 4 more years. We as a people would truly be f...............

I just completed a Zogby poll questionaire with questions heavily slanted to favor Republicans and fluff McCain...Pitiful but typical.
Am I alone or is anyone else enjoying fresher morning and afternoon air with the absence of MSNBC's daytime programming???

Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colors from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white,
But we decide which is right.
    And which is an illusion?

Perhaps, someone that reads this blog, who has some money they would like to spend for a good cause, could take out a half-page or a whole page ad about Cliff's book and pointing out that this book should get equal time so the viewers of each paper can get all the facts. Cliff's are real facts and we know the old fart who is pushing the swift boating of Obama has many of his "facts" completely wrong. If the reporter's are not going to do the right thing then buying an ad and presenting Cliff's book may be the answer. Eventually, even the hacks have to start doing their job or look like the biased person's they really are.

Just remember how surprised everyone was after Kerry lost. This campaign will be the dirtiest ever...with the media feeding lies to the clueless populace, while at the same time lulling the skeptical into complacency by producing polls that show Obama "potentially" in the lead.

Keep an eye on the prize. It's all about getting ahead of the vote and so far I don't hear about any effort to rectify the voting problems of the last election (from e-machines to purging voter roles to lack of sufficient number of machines) Make sure November's vote is heavily lawyered up and monitored.

the press coverage generally mentions that this is a political hatchet job. i don't think schecter and other objective writers would want that kind of exposure.

    Jerome Corsi is a PEDOPHILE
  • anarchy · 1 year ago
    see??

it really IS fun to play "pass the word" isn't it?

Jerome Corsi also buggered a poodle when
he was a teenager - or so I've heard.
