AMERICAblog: AP calls Hillary to account for lying about her NAFTA stance

  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is pressing her claim that she opposed her husband's free trade push when he was president, despite her favorable words about it at the time.

    ----

    LOL.

"Just because I was a NAFTA cheerleader doesn't mean I was sleeping with the team."

Lying bitch. She is just as bad as Chimpy.

I've been thinking ever since Bill's racist remarks in SC and his subsequent blunders, well, do you think maybe he's just trying to sabotage H's chances?

I mean, as pointed out on Hardball, of all places, he did mention her age (60) and the creeping memory lapses that come with age, as well. Cheeezus, what a guy to have on your team. But that's the Clinton campaign, isn't it?

    Yikes.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
According to Bill, Hillary will wake up at 3 am, saying "where am I" and why is this phone ringing?

Nice to see that the media is finally doing its job...Now if they could do the same to this administration and their cronies and flunkies in Congress...and if they would have done that 5 years ago, perhaps we wouldn't be in such a mess...

Just sent an e mail and am posting this from digby:

"I would like to add to the voices encouraging Air America to hire Sam Seder full time for the network.
......If you agree, you can send an email to pcollin@airamerica.com to politely request that Sam's show be given a full time slot."

Finally the MSM is picking up on this story instead of relegating coverage to FSN. I just saw an extened piece on MSNBC and it was brutal in pointing out that HIllary is now getting a reputation for lies much as her husband did. Slick Willie was able to avoid media scrutiny for a long time, but the chickens are finally coming home to roost. The Hillbots are in a fit of rage that the MSM is for once doing their job and covering critical stories about a candidates lack of honesty and values.

Now she has a vast left wing conspiracy working against her.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Some troll is hitting my negative rating button. What an asshole.

Hillary's infighting is causing McSame to go up in the polls.

She's killing the party. Somebody needs to tell her to quit.
  • Cindy411 · 1 year ago
Tom3: "Hillary's infighting is causing McSame to go up in the polls."

This is what I've been worrying about all along. McCain has already closed the gap with Obama. Hillary has no chance to win, yet she is challenging Barack simply to destroy the Democratic Party. If Obama loses in the general election, no one is to blame but Hillary and her corrupt husband. If her old pal Al Gore tries to waltz in at the last minute like some white knight, I hope people don't fall for it. Gore should have endorsed Obama a long time ago, but he was too cowardly and probably has his own self-serving agenda.

As we have all come to know, Hillary Clinton is a compulsive liar. Just what the country needs, another warmongering power-rabid lying thug in the White House. Go home Hillary. We hate you. The very sight of you and shreaking tenor of your voice makes us heave with nausea and recoil in disgust. You, madame, are an evil c*nt.
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
I lose 6 to 8 points any time I make a comment about Hillary, it seems.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
The only surprise here is that the MSM is finally waking up to the fact that hillary is a compulsive liar like her husband. It is long past time where we put those two out to pasture. God I hope Pennsylvania wakes up and does the right thing by voting overwhelmingly for Obama. I am so sick of this race mainly because hillary is still in it. If it were a contest between Edwards and Obama, I'd be happy to see this race go on but hillary is poisoning democrats chances in November. The sooner she goes, the better.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
The Hillbots and their Repuke troll pals are strangely quiet today, but they are frantically hitting the negative comment buttons. What a bunch of losers.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
New Zogby numbers in Pennsylvania: Hillary leads Obama by only four points, 47%-43%. Eight percent are undecided.

Here is a very interesting site that shows how each candidate fares against McCain in each state. Something to follow for sure in the days and weeks to come.

    Well it's about fuckin' time!
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
    Hiya Mirth!

Just found that site for the first time myself. I'm studying it very hard and it looks like it updates frequently. It's very interesting and raises some alarms for both sides.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Luna, NC will go for Obama on the Dem side; however, there is a large military presence in the eastern part of the state, Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, Seymour AFB, and it's also Jesse Helms-type country, so there are a lot of Rethug votes there. However, the larger cities in the western part of the state will probably vote Dem. It may be closer than the pollsters think, esp. if the colleges and universities get out the vote for Obama who is really going to have to concentrate in the southern states against the Manwhore's jingoistic posturing during the general. Yes, I'm pretty confident that it will be Obama v. Manwhore McCrazy.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
And today is the last day to register to vote in the primary in NC...
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I can't think of an appropriate response. Her story and his story make herstory and history but nothing that won't have to be sorted and evaluated by academics and then re-sorted and re-evaluated in the next century. I'm beginning to suspect the future won't think much of the Clintons and their daughter.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Hey OlderAndWiser, I'm from NC myself and I'm agreeing with you. The East is repub (except for Wilmington) all the way to the Triangle and Piedmont areas. I believe once Obama comes here after PA that his numbers overall will pick up and he'll put us in play come November.
Btw, who's your choice for Gov? I'm leaning towards Perdue but need to research more.
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
And she opposes the Columbia free trade deal that Bill and Penn were working on.

    Yeah, right.........
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
I'm not sure where they get their numbers Mirth. Some match pretty close to recent polls but I can't find independant sources for how some states are shaping up. I think NC and VA are closer than indicated as well as LA. Just hunches on my part but there you go. The site will be more useful as the election draws near. I'll be checking it frequently.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Luna, going for Richard Moore myself. I see Perdue in the same light as HRC...and I believe Moore is far more progressive.
  • Sean · 1 year ago
Another week and you still can't find anything to say in favor of Obama, just more attacks on Clinton. It is truly comical.
  • jr · 1 year ago
    Dear Hillary,
What did you think would happen in the long term when you were carrying water for Wal Mart? It's always about getting through today isn't it?
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
I don't know much about Moore yet. The race is as ugly as can be based on the ads I've seen. I'll keep your opinion in mind though. I've been slack on what's going on in state elections this year.
  • Cindy411 · 1 year ago
If by some bizarre vote-buying scenario, Hillary wins the Pennsylvania primary and goes on to win the nomination, I will never vote for her nor support her run. I hope other Democrats vow to do the same. We simply cannot afford to support the outrageous corruption of the Clintons. The DNC needs to learn a lesson that the days are over when we would support someone just because they have a 'D' after their name. The Clintons are just bad news.
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
I'm with you on that Cindy411. No way will I vote for hillary under any circumstances. I'll go 3rd party and straight Dem the rest of the ticket.
  • naschkatzehussein · 1 year ago
Nice, Cindy411. That's my husband's and my game plan too. I was a registered independent for 34 years and just switched so I could vote in the Oregon primary for Obama. If he doesn't get the nod, I'm outta here.

    GREAT news! Thanks!

    Hi Luna!

I once had that site saved and then somehow lost it, so mucho thanks for the link. It's a great election site.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Luna,

The site is frequently updated and it's a great go-to on any election night.

Their numbers of matchups between Clinton/Obama and McCain have to be based on conjecture from past elections, so I'm not too excited or too disheartened about that. If Obama is the nom I think we'll see him bring us the *Punitive Election of 2008.

    Indigo,

I think we are seeing the natural death of the meme that Bill is a dazzling politician. One can guess that it originated with the Clintons and enhanced by their DLC toadies.

In all of the darkness, this one small light, and historians will brightly illuminate it with more truth about this duo.
