AMERICAblog: AP: McCain lied again

  • ron071 · 1 year ago
    LIES, LIES, & MORE LIES!!!!!!!

Only an ignorant electorate can be repeatedly lied to and still favor the LIARS! This, greed, and the " hidden factor " are the only explanations for any McSame/Palin support. The election results will show clearly the extent of these factors.

WANT MORE OF THE SAME ???????JUST VOTE FOR McSAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, an 'ignorant electorate' brought to you by a complicit corporate media.

And that false $42,000 claim was repeated yet again just a few minutes ago on MSNBC by a McCain spokesperson, a woman I've never seen before.

Anchor Amy Rohrback(?) didn't challenge it - said NOTHING to refute or question this debunked claim.
  • greyroadster · 1 year ago
And equally damning, the stat that Obama voted 94 sep times to increase taxes is being repeated again and again.
  • ezpz · 1 year ago
Yup, and again, Amy just lets them spew.
  • bacalove · 1 year ago
Did you email MSNBC to complain that their reporters let spokespeople get away with lies? You should. We are all involved in this effort.
  • ezpz · 1 year ago
Not yet. Thanks for the nudge. I certainly will.

I've emailed them and others so many times before that after a while, I just get discouraged.

But I surely will. Thanks again.

We cannot let discouragement keep us from Action, the stakes are too high!  When the many make an effort, they are forced to change.

I heard people at the gym this AM saying Obama was going to raise everyone's taxes and McCain was our only hope financially. I wanted to throw a dumbbell at them-WTF? Why do they whole-heartedly believe Rep lies, but not anyone else's not-lies?

Someone has to pay for this crap- it may as well be the rich (and rich is definitely 250k and above. Rich does not START at 5 mil).
  • grandma · 1 year ago
I hear that too ....Obama is going to raise everyone's taxes....sheeshhh
  • bacalove · 1 year ago
Well did you tell those people that that was not true? McCain Says One Thing and Votes The Opposite! When you hear McCain talk, think Wizard of Oz.

love to all, girls. i get it, mccain is a turd; everyone who reads this website gets it. let's see some progressive ideas/debates on how to solve our collective problems. pissing on republicans, while fun, will not pay my partner's health insurance premium, nor my son's college tuition. let's hear some specifics ms. obama - it is a discussion this country is hungry for.

btw, a wondeful victory for transgenders yesterday in a case against the library of congress. way to go!!!!

IMHO, the way you vote is highly reflective of the environment in which you were raised. If your parents were Repubs chances are you will be Repub or if parents were Dems chances are you will be Dems. Kind like being born into religion, and raised it that religion.

As an adult some people may change their politics or religions but most usually don't, they stick to the value system ingrained in them from birth. Change is "going against what dad said".

I think this is why Republicans don't care if McCain is telling lies. Heaven or hell will not get them to switch their ingrained values. They are only stupid in the sense that they will not look outside of what the were taught. This is equally true for both parties, although I can say I have met more Dems that switch back and forth than Republicans.
  • gumbygirl · 1 year ago
My parents were staunch republicans-all four of their children and all of their adult grandchildren are Democrats voting for Obama. My husband's family=same thing=parent's repubs, kids dems. Your theory may have been true years ago, but I'm not sure it holds up now.
  • AdmNaismith · 1 year ago
True- I keep voting Democrat, even though I know Obama and all of my national representatives will not treat this gay man as an equal citizen under the marriage laws in this country.
What am I going to do, vote for McCain?

i saw Rachel M. interviewing Ana Marie Cox, who is traveling with the McCain campaign...Cox says basically that McCain no longer gives a shit if his campaign lies or spews racism or sexism...and the angrier anyone gets about it, the more publicity it brings. fabulous.
