AMERICAblog: AP: This is journalism, Part II

MBA is working on a deal to provide liability insurance to its member bloggers. Also, MBA is piloting a service to syndicate content from select MBA bloggers to mainstream news and media partner sites.

[edit] - but still a link

I've noticed that the AP, who I always believed was nonpartisan, has often gone to the "Dark Side" and not reporting any positives on Obama. it's shocking!!!
  • kevinbgoode · 1 year ago
AP does this crap all of the time. . .as if they've somehow retrained reporters to submit a story BEFORE it is completed, and then publish it with "updates" as they actually search for ways to at least provide some resemblance to journalism ethics.

And they call BLOGGERS unprofessional! What a bunch of losers.

John, why are you attacking journalists? Next you'll go after the poor defenseless oil companies. You meanie.

But McCain will do a better job winning the War On Terror!

    That's what Sean Hannity says.

is obama making the powers that be nervous or what?

They're tools, John, as is much (all right, most) of the mainstream media. I don't know why The Powers That Be have decided this year to beatify John McCain, but you will rarely read any thing negative about him, while they go on and on about peripheral things concerning Obama, like the Reverend Wright and, yes, the "terrorist fist bump." I wish that, for instance, every time Rezko is mentioned in regards to Obama, someone in the MSM would reference the fact that McCain was part of the Keating Five and took money from Charles Keating. Hello? Anyone in the MSM remember Keating and the Savings and Loan collapse? Knock, knock. Hello? Anyone home there at AP, UPS,NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, FOX, the major newspapers? Guess not.

mccain is on record as a POW spilling his guts to the enemy.

i'm not going to pass judgement on that, who can say what happened? maybe he was tortured. maybe he was given special treatment because they knew who his father was.

    regardless,

do we really want our leader to be someone that 'broke' under imprisonment?

i am not calling his courage into question. it's just a fact that when he was captured he gave them more then name, rank and ssn.

In their hurry to scoop the blogs, they're blogging their reports and calling them news. Well, the news is that the blogs have scooped the on-line media but AP (Amerikan Propaganda) is not ready to say so. Thus the great Media War-on-Blogs reaches a new stage. Let's call it the e-Surge.

I thought Bumiller's mess this morning suffered from a similar problem. It's almost as though she is going out of her way to soft-peddle McCain's problems.

AP employs filthy little cockroaches like Nedra Pickler (married to some non-entity at Fox News) and Christopher Wills to spew slime against Obama. AP should be shunned as the unclean and diseased entity that it is.

"we follow the newsmax theory of journalism"-AP

As far as I'm concerned, Obama can handle his own. I loved his recent response to the GOP naysayers and McCain aides:

"Obama said they "helped to engineer the distraction of the war in Iraq at a time when we could have pinned down the people who actually committed 9-11." He said Osama bin Laden is still at large in part because of their failed strategies."

(oddly enough, this is also from the AP. Hope they don't sue me ):

The BLOGS killed the MSM and AP journalists.

Why do you think they keep laying off people in the "press".

Journalism no longer exists in the newspapers nor in the MSM.
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
Corporate News. Nothing but lies, nothing but propaganda. I agree FunMe - there is no truth in Corporate News anymore - just a bunch of lying bottom feeders trying to gain a fat paycheck. I wouldn't read anything AP writes - they've already proven they are liars, etc.

There is still one large, reliable, non-biased news source:

    http://www.mcclatchydc.com/

Investigative journalism lives there, too. Currently they are running an 8-months-in-the-making series on foreign nationals held in our secret and not so secret military prisons: Beyond The Law.

    John,

If you don't want to deal with .jpg's snapshots anymore, if you can go get a PDF program (like Adobe Acrobat) and print the page as a PDF. Once you have the programinstalled just scroll down to the Print in the Browsers File Menu and select print as PDF. It's a lot simpler. And you don't have to deal with image editors also.

    Nice catch John!
