Ever seen the HBO show "Oz"??? That oughta explain what men do in prisons. McSame was probably mostly a top, though.

[Bush] Deputy Treasury Secretary Robert Kimmitt told the [German] mass circulation tabloid Bild that "it would be nice if the German government would focus on strengthening its contacts to us [the Bush maladministration] rather than already beginning to look for our successors."

Correction: the last part of the sentence should have read:
"rather than already beginning to make our successor look presidential."

Perhaps these idiots know they'll have to get a real job soon, or do without one considering all the cuts going on.

Meanwhile, the Dow has less than 20 pts to go below 11,000. Black Friday?
Obviously they didn't like Paulson saying he would stick with the old Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac--no changes right now. Or are Paulson and Bernanke having a lovers' quarrel?

    OK, Dow below 11,000...

The swift-boater I dislike the most is Jerome Corsi. Weak minded George Norey has him on all the time on Coast. Recently, he was like, "the worst thing that could happen is attacking Iran." Now it's, "there simply is no other choice but to attack Iran because of their nuclear program."

Prior to that, he was a swift-smearer. Then it was, " MY STARS, THE GOVERNMENT IS FASCIST BECAUSE OF 51! THIS IS REALLY SCARY!!"

What "govmint" is there other than the bush adminstration you helped seal in there? It's nuts with yuppies.

Funny stuff...Our testicle-deprived corporate media cannot bear to say balls, nuts, testes, bits & pieces, huevos, bait & tackle or 'the boys':

What's with the AP lately? They started taking a consistent Conservative apologizer turn in 2004 and it seems doubly worse this election. Must have been a lot of turn over between from Fox to AP or something. After all, if Conservatives can hold sway over the "journalists" that provide material for much of the print and media articles that's easier than turning every print and media news org Conservative.

I guess hypocrisy is a genetic thing with Rethugs, so we can't criticize. They can't help it.

News organizations are capitalist corporations which are in business to make money. You can't make money by peddling material that is disagreeable to your subscribers.

John A has it right. Obama has to confront McCain at some point before it's too late for him to get rolling. Right now both these candidates are acting like they are going to coast into the whitehouse.

Suggestion: Why doesn't someone raise some money, buy a shitload of donuts with sprinkles, and have them delivered to AP's head editor's desk??
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
Dems need to fight back! call them on this crap. hell. the repubs freak out over the tiniest thing and manufacture outrage over B.S. to get media attention. we need to appoint someone to hit back every time they do this sort of thing. someone needs to fight back each and every time they pull this crap. we need to get a form letter of some sort that we can all sign or post on the MSM site or letter to the editor. i like the fact that obama does not let the sun set on a lie or attack. he adresses it immdiately and it is all over the MSM.

Hmmm. The AP didn't mention this either:
John McCain sued for divorce in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., where his friend and fellow former POW, George E. "Bud" Day, practiced law and could represent him.

    Pesky details, I guess.

Suppose the Dems threw a party and invited all the press. The party would be to make a major announcement, also there would be lots of food and drink. What would the press report? Why they would talk about the food, the clothes, any gossip, and lastly, if at all, the major announcement.

The press can and will shut down anyone or anything. Remember John Kerry and Swiftboating? Kerry didn't react quickly enough but he did issue a lot of statements and unless you had access to a computer you never heard or read a word about it. Remember John Edwards, he had a good message, yet he was reduced to a $400 haircut.

My point is Dems can yell and scream about all the issues but they are NOT going to get press. It has never been more obvious than last week when John McCain made so damn many gaffes and outright lies and nothing in the main stream media about that. Obama's big news was his line about "we already have one Dr. Phil", Not a word about his calling McCain on the carpet.

I have been complaining about the media's reporting when it comes to John McCain for quite awhile!! It seems like scrutinizing and criticizing this man, who has shown time and again is not a man of great character, is nothing but "tabu" to the media. I don't get it, I really don't get what's going on here?!
  • maggiejean · 1 year ago
My only desire is that each time the AP writes a pro McCain piece, all who comment on the article remind readers that Rupert Murdoch is on the board of directors of the Associated Press.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Yeah, an 82 year-old in polyester pants and a Member's Only jacket (snappy!) and one of those "flair"-festooned caps: how DOES McCain attract such SEXY endorsements to "turn on" the future generations of America to the GOP? (Seriously, I can assure McCain that the VietNam War is fuckin' ancient history to any American under the age of 35).
