  • SgtHudson · 1 year ago
Palin is clearly "going into business for herself..."
  • brb915 · 1 year ago
Do I give a flying Red Squirrel EFF that McCain is pissy at Sarah now? He's made his bed------which of the seven houses its in I do not know or frikking care but he sure as BFE Hell can sleep in it

I saw this in another blog and I will humbly use it

Perhaps I am blind, but I don't see the tension between McCain and Palin to which you are referring. He's just sitting there blinking his eyes frequently.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
I don't see it either, suzie. He is looking down or at her, but I don't see anger or disappointment. Maybe reconciled?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Yeah, I don't see it either.

I think this was the only clip released so far, and there's probably jucier stuff coming.

Or maybe nothing jucy wound up on camera, but Chuck Todd just observed the way they treated each other off camera and drew his own conclusions.
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
That was disappointing. I was expecting something like this......

The NY Times Magazine is going to have an inside story on "The Making (and Remaking and Remaking)" of McCain's campaign, this Sunday. Looks like the Palin choice was an impulsive, last minute decision, made during a "chat" between McCain and only two of his advisors.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Well geesh that is surely reassuring! Only two of his advisors. Which ones? Lilly Munster and Gomez?
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Sheeze! Don't insult Lily Munster and Gomez. More likely Barney the dog and some stray cat in the back alley.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Boy she really had to repeat the name Ahmadinejad at least two or three times to show us how she knows how to say it. That's right Barbie, your little mp3 player played it over and over so you could get it right. Keep practicing these funny ferriner names over and over..AhmadinejadAhmadinejadAhmadinejadAhmadinejadAhmadinejadAhmadinejad

okay i don't know where Nate got this about Miss Virginia defending her state from yesterday's attacks by the McCain campaign, but it's going to be all over the blogosphere: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/
(and she's much prettier than miss alaska anyway).
  • cmpnwtr · 1 year ago
McCain can blame himself for betraying his country with such a flippant and flawed choice.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    I've been waiting for this.

Neither of these two idiots play well with others, so they should really be going at each other's throats soon.

And I bet Cindy will start taking shots as well.
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
I have been thinking that Palin may turn on McCain, either now or shortly after the election (if they lose). Remember she turned on the good old boys in Alaska and beat them at their own game. People have been turning out to see Palin not McCain.

The woman is aggressive and ambitious. It will be Palin giving McCain the boot, eventually.
  • PinkDog · 1 year ago
I read an interview with Lorne Michaels (of SNL) that gave the impression that she is trying to set herself up for a gig in television when this is all over with. He wasn't quite that specific, but he hinted pretty strongly at it, in my interpretation.

Maybe she wants a seat on The View? I hear Hasselbeck needs a friend.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
    (if they lose).

    Only if they lose?

If they win, I still think that McCain will choose a different VP in 2012 ... of course, if McCain is still around to make that choice. If he does kick the bucket, look for his body to be put in a burlap sack and dumped in the ocean on a dark, moonless light, maybe even if he is still breathing.

SEN. JOHN MCCAIN, from his autobiography, "Worth the Fighting For":

"As a politician, I am instinctive, often impulsive... I don't torture myself over decisions. I make them as quickly as I can, quicker than the other fellow, if I can. Often, my haste is a mistake, but I live with the consequences without complaint."

We shall see if McCain actually 'lives" with the consequences of picking Palin
  • Ubiquitous · 1 year ago
if he does live with it, instead of retiring into political obscurity, the rest of the world will be living with his mistake....

that's a pretty major gamble for any reformed gambler

except, of course, he's not reformed at all, is he?
  • publicsteele · 1 year ago
Can we talk for a minute about preconditions? Journalists have failed to make the point that the 'preconditions' squabble began as a retort to the Bush administration policy that demanded Iran suspend nuclear enrichment before we would open up a diplomatic channel. That is the precondition that began the argument. Unfortunately, the Obama campaign hasn't connected the dots. I hope they will clarify soon, though it may be too late.
  • Ubiquitous · 1 year ago
2 Questions: 1 - why is she wearing a skirt that's pretty close to a belt when she's had $150k worth of dressing up (I am a woman. I don't consider this a sexist question - I DO however think that McCain can't take his eyes off her thighs)

2 - wtf is she saying? this is complete word salad. Why does anyone anywhere in the world think this is anything but complete contentless drivel?
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Hell.

The only reason the Wingnut Males are lining up in droves to go to her stupid rallies is because they're in heat over her.

She has to show a little merchandise to keep them coming back.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
She's the first stripper candidate. As Matt Cude, one of her working class male fans at a NH rally, said, "I love the idea of someone like her being allowed into the White House."
Or, "'She’s beautiful,' said a man wearing a John Deere T-shirt in Weirs Beach. 'I came here to look at her,' he said, and his admiration for Ms. Palin’s appearance became more and more animated. Sheepish over his ogling, he declined to give his real name."
Yeeehawww...One pastie tassel says "John" and the other "McCain".

How can McCain be mad at Palin? He's the one who friggin picked her. McCain has nobody to be angry at except himself.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I think he figured someone with so little experience and such a limited education would do whatever he said and not make trouble (which is why he didn't pick Olympia Snow or Kay Bailey Hutchinson).

    Surprise!
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Ever see Kay Bailey try to twirl a pastie tassel??? Pitiful.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
lizzy dole can do it... on a Viagra night.
  • eliot99 · 1 year ago
You know it has got to suck for McCain. Look at him. He's focused on every word that spills out of her mouth. Like he's ready to pounce and stop her before she says more crazy crap.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
McPanderer said himself, Palin was a cold, political calculation.
you live by the sword, you die by the sword.
  • anokie · 1 year ago
I'm going to create a pool on when McCain just ups and loses it.....on national TV. I mean you can sense the tension coming through the TV and not in a "Lowery" kind of way...no starbursts here. But, really he's going to pop!
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
hopefully, its during his concession speech :-)

    how cool would that be?
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
He just c^n't, can't, take his eyes off those gawjus gams!

What the hell is wrong with him?

The fruit cakes have already told Palin that she is presidential material.

The stuff that comes out both mouths are just insane but there are people out there that are so gullible.

Been reading some of the robocall messages and to me it is so hard to believe that people truly believe this sh*t.

Heard on the radio from a military man who said that what McCain/Palin is doing is very dangerous, and it puts America in turmoil which is what the terrorist wants.
  • Older_Wiser · 1 year ago
I was commenting about this to my son, who succinctly said: John McCain picked her; how can he blame her now?
  • Aanya · 1 year ago
If this were the plot of a movie we're living, I'd rip it up, fire the writers and go find a new line of work! McCain couldn't possibly get anymore stupid and incompetent even with all his high priced hired help.
  • JustAnOldLady · 1 year ago
The comedy team of McCain/Palin is a National Joke...........but the rest of the world ain't laughing........
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
But I hope we can laugh uproariously on November 5. Should be quite a celebration that night, will make the 2000 New Years day pale into insignificance.
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Can you imagine the absolute blast historians will have writing about the McCain-Palin ticket? I just hope they don't have even more fun writing about their victory ... naw, won't be anyone around left to write about such a massively insane historical moment.
  • Ann_in_KC · 1 year ago
Did you hear her bracelets clink near the end when she raised her hand? snark
  • sherifffruitfly · 1 year ago
Why is she wearing a miniskirt?
  • putaro · 1 year ago
Wow - the way she says "dick tater" - schwing. Good thing I already sent in my absentee ballot or I might be thinking about putting her in the White House :-)
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
Yee gods! I suppose it is Obama and his wicked, evil, lying, thieving Commie, pinko, faggot, liberal Democrats who rammed Sarah Palin down his throat instead of his lover, Liebermann.
  • gabreial · 1 year ago
A.most from the start it became obvious that John McCain wanted someone else as his running mate.
Actually it was a great strategic move, they stole the D's thunder over the next few weeks. Airlines did a bang up business. Our tourist season was vastly extended with all media rushing to get the scoop. But it is also obvious they did not vett our Governor very carefully. The 80% rating was inflated.

    ****AMERICA SHOULD BE FEARFULLY CONCERNED****

First Court Action: In the last month, After Governor Sarah Palin and HER Administration was refused by The Alaska Superior Court, and then refused by The Alaska Supreme Court to SQUASH the “Troopergate Investigation” against Sarah Palin, the Alaska State Legislative Investigation (LAW) moved on the investigation of the Firing of the Alaska State Public Safety Commissioner.

Gov.Sarah Palin “IS” found “GUILTY” by The Alaska State Legislature [60] Lawmakers, [Mostly Republicans] .in the Investigation of Firing" The Chief of The Alaska State Public Safety Commissioner, Honorable, Walt Monegan.

TROOPERGATE: In plain English, Sarah Palin has been legally PROVEN that she broke the Alaska State Ethics Law in ABUSING HER power in pushing for the firing of a State Trooper once married to her sister and by also ALLOWING her husband Todd Palin to use the Alaska Governor's Office in a crusade against the Officer. She is charged with 18 Ethic Violation Facts.

Currently the State of Alaska Personnel Board [appointed by Sara Palin} hired a private Investigator to continue the “Troopergate Investigation” on possible OTHER Ethic Violations which Palin allowed HER appointed Administration to participate in. Sarah Palins appointed State of Alaska, Attorney General Colberg, cannot participate to defend Gov. Palin or to defend her Administration. Why? Because he also is in conflict of interest

Second Court Law suite indicated: Currently Alaska State Public Safety Commissioner has “request a hearing on proved false attacks” made on Walt Monegan. If Alaska State Personnel Board {appointed by Gov. Palin) refuses request, Attorney Jeff Feldman indicates filing lawsuit against Gov. Palin.

Third: Currently Another Lawsuit is in progress. “Deception on State E-mails” with State Employee Andre McLeod.

    ALASKA GOVERNOR RECALL!
I am an Alaskan life voting Republican. This 2008 Election, I will [with pleasure] vote Democrat!

This Alaska Governor Palin has Destroyed and continues to attempt to Destroy "MANY GOOD ALASKAN PEOPLE(s)” Professionally and Politically during her "VERY SHORT" term position as Mayor in a small community Wasilla, Ak (Approx 5,000 + residents during her reign) and currently the Alaska State Governor.

McCain’s V.P. selection Sarah Palin unequivocally has NO business being the Alaska Governor, let alone, a USA Candidate for Vice President…..

    Maverick??.....”AMERICA SHOULD BE FEARFULLY CONCERNED”

I voted for Sarah Palin in Alaskans 2006 Governor Election. MISTAKE!.... Never Again… I repeat-NEVER AGAIN!!....Alaska Governor Palin is an absolute Embarrassment to the Alaska People(s) and "IS PROVEN” Over and Over to be an insatiable LIAR!!..
    .
How can she possibly ASSUME to possess the ability to clean up America, when she cannot clean the progressive ''MESS" She has created, then left Alaska to run for the United States V.P. Yes, she .departed leaving “HERSELF and HER husband todd palins” Mess FOR Alaskans to Clean-Up!!

MCCAIN, you should be ASHAMED of yourself!!!! This victim (palin) has no business in this Presidential Arena.
