It was Sharpton behind this song you dummy!
Rev Al hates a light black like Barama as he's not one of the upitee ones from da hood!
Geez....

And, it was Jesse Jackson who remarked that he wanted to cut Obama's nuts off.

Like a typical liberal, you are completely wrong (and arrogant in your ignorance) about the intent of the Barak the magic negro song. The song characterizes the hypocrisy and jealousy of Al Sharpton, and how he stated that Obama does not deserve the attention and contributions that he received because Barak is "not really black". Why do liberals lack the ability to think logically? Everything is racism, sexism, homophobic bigotry. Like the boy that cried wolf, the constant, repitions of mischaracterizations are going to be ignored.

Excellent. I agree. By the middle of 2009, people will be mad because there is no universal healthcare. The Magic will have worn off by then

Barrak Hussein Obama (people forget his middle name is Hussein) will be the first Half Caste Non american (sorry, his mother and father were NOT married at his birth) to be president. I prefer Arnie (from CA) he would 'KICK ASS'

The even sadder part is that republicans rally behind the song for the same ignorant reason. Well, at least we know they are ignorant from the start...

You stupid liberals make me ill. Barak the usless dumass is the worst candidate that has ever run for president with the exception of Hoover and Carter and actually won. He's a god dam socialist and I hate socialist. Spread his own wealth around but not mine. Barak is half white and half negro. What the hell is wrong with that. The dictionary calls that a malado. So lets call him what Mr. Webster calls him. A malado.
PR

LOL.. You're a hell of a comedian, Ken... Seriously, man, I almost fell off my chair reading your comment.. One question: How close are you and Mr. Webster? Not your best buddy, is he, eh? :-D

forget to include this one: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/malado Ken, you might want to check it, lol...Did you talk to Mr webster lately at all? The "malado" which you are refering to might actually have to do with the French"malade". In which case you better take a REALLY deep look in the mirror, my racist friend.. Oh, one more thing: http://www.harpers.org/archive/2008/04/hbc-9000... I don't know about the worst candidate, but it seems that quite a few people have thought about the question who actually was the worst president yet. OK, it's not Obama's turn yet, so he definitely will have to be judged later, but your buddy "W" (sorry, just assuming that) seems to score quite high on that one. I bet that you won't find Obama near the top of that list after he served his term(s). Wanna bet? ;-)

U-Tube took down the song at the insistance of Rush Limbaugh's people, because it had content from his show included, and they don't want THAT bit seen over and over again. Do your homework next time SFB.

"Like the boy that cried wolf, the constant, repitions of mischaracterizations are going to be ignored."
Like Barack Obama is a Socialist? Or that he's a Muslim? Or that he's a Terrorist? That's a pretty funny statement coming from somebody who apparently supports these kinds of misleading statements.
J

He does believe in Markism (socialist). Read his books, listen to his speeches. He was raised a Muslium. He did go to a church for 20 years that belives the governement is out to get black and it is a black supremist church. Listen to the sermons of the pastor. Do you really think someone can go to a church for 20 years and not know what the pastor was preaching? These things are facts. Get off the crack and open your eyes.

Satire is funny, this is funny, I've heard the real clip and it wasn't offensive in the least. Paul Shanklin (pardon the spelling) is all about satire and looking for a good laugh. Come on people lighten up.

It's no wonder the GOP lost in 2008. If they continue this racist path they will lose again in 2012. This is no way to attract minorities to their Party.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Heard it and loved it!Payback time for all those nasty things that went around about Sarah. Its okay to have filth about Sarah Palin on a tee shirt and wear it on your chest, but its not okay to sing a song that really is not offensive at all. Racists? Get real people! Y'all must not have been standing in line when God handed out sense of humor!

At least these conservatives are now FINALLY the minority. Obama's landslide win shows that these dinosaurs are dying out, finally. Still, I am amazed that Obama keeps trying to reach out to this group of people that most have given up on long ago. It seems like only racism and hate and senseless fighting are the only things that keep them ticking.

shame that he brought a number of votes.
The POPULAR Vote did NOT Elect Barak HUSSEIN Obama (yep, he is called Hussein)
jane S

So what if his middle name is Hussein? You say that like it means something. Unless you're implying that all people named Hussien are evil, then there's no reason to mention this. And of course we know that's what you're saying. Racist much?
And Obama's election was historic in that he won several traditionally republican states, brought out huge numbers of voters, etc. Just research the stats.

Plain Jane throwing the racist card.

Just J, throwing the idiotically short reply card. Reading these comments is like opening a wonderful can of internet anonymity shit pie. Look, Rush Limbaugh harbors no love for the soon to be up and running Obama administration. If this is the worst of what he's going to run, then I'm a platypus omelet. Negro "is" considered a derogatory term when white, conservative, talk-radio hosts, use it in a mocking manner. Yeah, double standard, but I had supposed that everyone understood that? Double standards are America's gold standard. Good, non bashing posts from, Jane S, and Tony up above. Right on man.

BTW: The popular vote certainly didn't elect George WALKER Bush (and yes, he should have walked away a LONG LONG time ago). Oh, but of course, now he finally will. After all the mess he created and the turmoil, and the suffering of people at home and abroad, Georgie Boy will finally walk away as if nothing has happened, sit around in Texas and wonder when, oh when, the people will stop doing him wrong and FINALLY realize the great things he accomplished for this country. My guess: NEVER! He should consider himself lucky if he's not brought to trial!

what landslide win? wasn't the % only a couple of percent dif? like 51 to 49?
i would consider a landslide win to have a much larger %
Tony

Mad Mike, if you don't even know the actual percentage, or care to even look it up, (53% - 46%, 66,882,230 votes versus 58,343,671 votes) then don't even bother trying to be intellectual about any argument. But convenient that it swayed toward Mccain in your version of the numbers, I wonder who you voted for.
J

Sorry dear, it wasn't a landslide. Go check your numbers.

Obama's election is officially tallied as a landslide, but barely. I think it was the 14th most votes of any president. The underlying issue here is that Rush Limbaugh intentionally flirts with racist wording, otherwise knowin as "race bating," because a large percentage of his audience as a matter of fact is indeed racist. Unline many of you apparently, I grew up in "The heartland" or "Bible belt" and 9 out of 10 people I grew up with (amany of whom listened to Limbaugh) regularly referred to all black people as "The N Word." Sorry, but that's the truth. a hundred years from now, Limbaugh will likely go down as a clever idealogue that distorted millions of people by targeting people not inclined to check information and using tribal arguments over mass media outlets.. and it was a disaster.

I can't understand why folk are getting upset at this song. As a black man, I am proud that Obama is being publicized in this fashion. I mean, this song is fun and I can enjoy it with my children. I find this song to be very enjoyable and I'm sure that Master Barack will love it as well!
Killer

Actually, it should be: "Barack the Magic Mulatto." His children are quadroons and their children will be octaroons. Silly Republicans cannot get anything right.

Why aren't you taking the LA Times to task for the use of this term? They were the first ones to use it in reference to Obama. Then Limbaugh reports it and suddenly he's accused of using it!!??? PLEASE! Get real.

That is a good one. Unfortunately we'll have to wait until the neo-dems screw-up the county even further and turn the US into Southern Canada. If you have a small slice of the American dream I hope you can hold onto it for the next four years. If you work hard all your life and gain a slight advantage, watch out here comes the Dems carrying Obama the magic Negro to redistribute your piece of the pie.

I'd like to quote President Obama on this one,
"they know that parents have to teach, that children can’t achieve unless we raise their expectations and turn off the television sets and eradicate the slander that says a black youth with a book is acting white,"
you truly are ignorant if believe people of different color are not similar. In this bit of racist poetry under the guise of satire the songwriter, not the L.A. Times says, "cause he's black but not authentically" because , "Some say Barack's articulate and bright and new and clean," so how again is it satire? saying that "Authentic" black people do not possess these qualities. The only thing apparaent to me about Chip Saltsman's spread of this song to Limbaugh is that he is one hell of a racist; or too ignorant to figure out that his buddy, Shanklin, who wrote the song is.

@ JJ: "..because we really dont need to here anything about it from you dumb autistic retards"... hmmmh... here? as in"there"? You might want to double-check your stuff before you call anyone dumb, retard etc.. Or were you just being sarcastic? Oh, sorry, I meant"funny"? (don't want to stress your semi-normal brain too too much..) @ Yoddles: "until the neo-dems screw-up the county even further and turn the US into Southern Canada." Who was running this country for the last 8 years? Just asking.. BTW: I know a lot of people who wouldn't mind too see a few a things happening here like in Canada. Universal health care anyone?

Amazing how liberals suddenly loses their sense of humor when the parody is of their own. Anybody remember the SNL parodies of Sarah Palin? Carribou Barbie, etc...? Jeez, Rush is here for entertainment so lighten up. Would there be such an uproar if copies of SNL parody videos had been distributed instead?

I love it!!! I think it is great that people get so upset at this song! There is such a huge double standard in this country when it comes to blacks. Is it ok to make fun of white people? No one ever stands up and calls that racism, just comedy. but when it's about a black person, here comes Al Sharpton!!!
Ken clouse

Excellent parody,
Kenneth Crawley
Why do they get upset? There have always been jokes about other presidents, but it seems that all of a sudden it would be wrong to make a joke or comment about Barrak Obama? I hope they continue to joke and make the comments with Obama just as the people and comedians have with the other presidents.
jim schultz
It's truly amazing that people can be such morons. Mention the word "negro" and you're a racist. Do any of you have any sense who Rush Limbaugh is? He is, if you don't know, far from a racist and even if he were racist, he would be too clever to be caught calling making a blatently racist comment. I'm too exhausted to try and explain it, but just research what he was trying to do and please grow a pair, try to understand the context and don't go into a panic when you hear something that may or may not be actual racism. GEEZ!
Ryan
Oh jeez, This is simply a parody of other news items. Biden was the one that called Obama "articulate and clean", LA Times was the one that coined the term "Magic Negro" and questioned his authenticity as a black man. If you are offended by this you are either completely uneducated on the background news or you are a true blind partisian.
Kenny
Oh please..... I'm a song writer who has dated many girls of other color and I find this song hilarious.... Please don't waste our time calling someone a racist just because you don't understand humor. We aren't complaining cause we don't have a "United Caucasian College Fund". I don't care what you call it... if it gets more underprivelidged kids into college let's do it. Why is it so bad to poke fun at this president???? We've done it to all the others and not doing it to him because of his race would actually be the true act of racism. Get a life and go do something useful with it.

If you can parody a President because he’s a sex addict, and you can parody a President because he’s simply stupid, why can’t you parody Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson because they aren’t from the same ilk as Obama? That’s what this song does.
If you read and understand the LA Times article, you’ll realize that the writer (David Ehrenstein) is simply stating the obvious: white people are comfortable around black people who add value to their lives. Teachers, actors, athletes, politicians – it doesn’t matter what they do. If they are a productive part of society then a comfort level is established. That's why Obama will be our next President and Sharpton and Jackson will continue to be nothing more than posers.
There are many people on this planet that I dislike and that each of you dislike, and it’s doubtful that we all dislike the same people for the same reasons. I don’t dislike anyone because of their skin color, but I do dislike thugs, freeloaders and those who trample the American way instead of embracing the opportunities it provides.
I will forever support Paul Shanklin’s right to express his opinions as he chooses. While I don’t believe this song contains an ounce of racism, I will remind you that it is just as legal to say, “I hate black people” as it is to say “I hate Bush” or “I hate mayonnaise.”
Captain B
It was Martin Luther King who pointed out "content of character vs. color of skin" You think maybe racism is alive and well and will probably continue no matter how may whites invite blacks over for dinner? Besides who wants to have dinner with someone who smells like a wet dog. Oh, is that a characterization of whitie? Liberals are hilarious, fearing someone might find out they really are frightened of black folk. Conservatives (improperly named-should be reactionaries) are just idiots. It is all about your pocket book stupid. You make $250,000 a year, vote republican. Less than that? Good luck. Laugh at every one, we are really funny..... and really stupid.

I want to know why Americans will waste so much time on split second, meaningless things, Because the work negro is used: but when a serious question arises, the issues are buried. Could we for a day or two get past the crap, and take on something that will make a difference. I would love to believe that 4 years from now we will still have the same constitution, we have now. But, I'm truely worried that quietly, quickly, and wrongly it will be changed.
