America gave Uzbekistan most-favoured-nation trade status and additionally granted Uzbekistan exemption from many U.S. import tariffs under the Generalized System of Preferences then turns its back on some colossal human rights violations in trade for some select torture that even sickens American contractors. Uzbekistan has some of the largest oil and gas deposits in the world. Darfur "might" have some huge deposits also. We'll cozy up to the Muslims who are cutting off the hands and feet of the animists and christians in Darfur once those reserves are proven to exist...
