Did you see BBC's coverage on election night? A miserable dour looking negative panel that should have been labeled FOX OPINION for intellectuals? Who do they think ttheir audience is? I was switching betwee CNN, CNBC, Al Jazeera and BBC and I found their coverage miserable from an ideological view and technically. Why did they thing anyone would be interested in looking at John Bolton spew his negative spin for hours on end? There are some good spots on BBC, but they have really sunk in the last few years. HardTalk is still great.

I will always remember that day of the 2004 Democratic National Convention when he gave the keynote speech and I wondered, Who is that guy? He's wonderful and is going far...

I think back to "Lethal Weapon Two" where Danny Glover want's to emegrate to South Africa, and the person in the embassy says... "But.. . But.... you're BLACK !"

The Europeans have no right to criticize racism in America. We do have problems in America with race relations but ethnic minorities have opportunities in the US that they wouldn't dream of in most of Europe. Turks can live in Germany for generations without any hope of citizenship, much less admission to the best schools. It always stunned me to hear supposedly liberal Germans make the most horrendous comments about Turks and Gypsies living in their country. And with no sense of irony or shame after having condemned America for racism.
No, I will not take any criticism about racism from a European. We haven't exactly gotten a perfoect score but compared to Europe we have set the curve.
