AMERICAblog: Blithering Idiot, Part III

  • Indigo · 1 year ago
That Sarah, she's real Coen Brothers' material. Are they filming this as it happens? I can only hope so.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Wow John....you can figure out what she's saying ! !
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
OT but why is her family in Arizona...do kids not have to go to school up there in Alaska?
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
not like it would make a big difference. most Wasillians don't graduate high school.

or maybe they all have an extended case of mono like Bristol
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Katie, you really ought to be asking her about her clothes and her designers. Or where she got her cute eyewear. Really...come on ask her when Bristol Missy and Mister Hockey Cock are getting hitched! That's what the big haired bitches here in Dallas wanna know!!!!!
  • slappymagoo · 1 year ago
"...and, you know, I'm the new energy, the new face, the new ideas ..."

Two out of three ain't bad, GRANDMA.

No wonder why she loves politics so much, where else can a 44 year old be considered "the new face?"
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
and what are her "new ideas"?? she can't even articulate a complete thought.

Someone call the "talking points" police, she's getting all mixed up AGAIN!
  • High Crimes & Misdemeanors · 1 year ago
Couric's follow up question should have been: Can you offer specifics on what NEW ideas you would bring to the White House??

Of course we have a treasonous media that would never have the courage to ask that question.
  • BarrieT · 1 year ago
Just what I thought - I can't wait to hear her new ideas. Glow-in-the-dark Twinkies? The electric fork? The chocolate teapot?
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
The Alaska Dingbat rides again. Yee Haw.
  • PattyP · 1 year ago
You know, I am liking this woman more and more every day. ;-)

Oh I love Missy Caribou Barbie!!!! I love watchin' the local str8 guys get hardons talking about her!

  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
    Why thank you!
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
But David darlin' y'all are ALWAYS purely fucking fabulous!!!!!!!
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Bostonian, I work with a guy who is just so in love with her. Every time he talks about her he gets all "smiley" and "happy faced". It's hilarious. Sad thing is, THAT is the reason he is voting. He said it would be so cool to have, these are his words now, SUCH A HOT PRESIDENT.

    Sigh...
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Ah I see he must also live here in BIG JESUS land with us! Oh my yes...Missy Caribou Barbie is better than Viagra for these Bubbas! Now if they only knew that with her as President, god forbid, they will be getting fucked. Only unlike myself, it will be a dry fuck without KY.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
    Houston...close enough...
  • wmforr · 1 year ago
I'm just hoping that after McC loses the election she takes an offer from Comedy Central or HBO to star in a sitcom about a clueless governor.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I could not tell if she was referring to Biden or McCain in that rant. Is it me, or does she ramble on and on about unconnected ideas, and then in a last ditch effort try to string them together? It's a pattern with her. She is awful.

And that accent....jeesh. If I have to listen to that for four years....oy vey.

"is that yur friend over dere in the chipper???" .......Fargo
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
That's what fascists do. String together a bunch of mumbo jumbo. I believe it was in the 1984 novel.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Well I cannot look at her or hear her without thinking of Tina Fey. Palin is a laughing stock.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
And what was funniest was that Tina mostly just used her own words. Funny or pathetic.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
As much as her voice is grating, I am willing to put up with it for an hour or two Thursday night to watch the trainwreck unfold...

"Ummm, Gov Palin, your time to answer the question has expired...again..."
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
Biden will do himself some good to just let her talk, and talk...... She is a train wreck.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
    Correct...let her talk.
  • PattyP · 1 year ago
She reminds me of Gerald Ford stumbling over his feet, except she stumbles over her brain.
  • MnDem · 1 year ago
It's bad enough that we Minnesotans have had to put up with the jokes about our accents because of the "Fargo" movie (and for the record, I liked the movie, and I even acknowledge that we do talk like that), but don't saddle us with being responsible for Sarah Palin.

Isn't there some movie set in Alaska that you can all start referencing?
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Since her parents moved her to Alaska when she was an infant, is that accent a true Alaskan accent? Does everyone who's been there since childhood talk like that? It's odd, since it's so similar to Minnesota or Wisconsin accents. I'm just curious....
  • MnDem · 1 year ago
Good question. I think there are a number of people from around here who have moved to Alaska, so there may be some influence there in the accents.

I looked at her genealogy and she does have some roots in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but it's way back with her great grandparents. But maybe the accent just sticks around for a while.
  • Mark in Florida · 1 year ago
I am originally from Wisconsin, and even in Wis, it varys from town to town, region to region. Oddly my family escaped the fargo accent thing.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
That was the biggest crock of horse doo doo I've heard. She's basically criticizing Biden by saying he's "old" and been in the senate for years and years and she's the new face with new ideas? Pssst! Sarah...your running mate is older too and has been in the Senate for years too. Or was she talking about McCain? Who was she talking about?

So what fresh face and new ideas does MCCAIN bring?

Or does she know something about his health we don't?
  • wmforr · 1 year ago
New ideas??? New ideas??? Katie should have just said, "Name just one."
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Blithering idiot, shameless liar. Tomato, tomoto.
  • MnDem · 1 year ago
My sister, who is not political but pretty much votes Dem, was completely turned off by Palin's snarkiness and sarcasm in her acceptance speech. From the clip, it looks like she's still at it.

I hope some of that comes out on Thursday - it will remind people of the girls in junior and senior high who would talk about everybody behind their backs.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
The OTHER Tina Fey connection: Mean Girls.
  • Rab · 1 year ago
I told my wife when I heard the acceptance speech that she reminded me of a girl I dated: a mean girl.
  • Charles2 · 1 year ago
I'm more and more convinced that the campaign will never let her debate on Thursday. I just can't figure out how they'll get her out of it...
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
I think Rachel Maddow's girlfriend is correct.
Palin will not be debating Thursday Night.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
I have been thinking and saying the same thing, but time is running out. If it happened, it would have to happen tomorrow. Of course, some big dramatic last minute thing would probably be what they need to garner some sympathy. I would only hope that if she does drop out of the debate, Biden does like Obama and stands firm and says he'll be there, with or without her.

Speaking of the debate, does anyone know the format? Podium? Roundtable?
  • DeppFan · 1 year ago
Sarah Failin was about 17 months old when McSame married his first wife.
She won't be making reference to that, though.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
Anyone notice her makeup? Whoever's doing it isn't doing a very good job. It's not blended at all. I sure hope it isn't costing 5 g's. When her hair is up, it's really dark next to her really white neck. I wouldn't say anything so trivial, but after the bs with the $400 haircut and the $5500 dollar makeup job, I feel I'm justified.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Well it is fairly obvious she is NOT using the services of a big city queen. This is probably being executed by some tramp from the Wassila Walmart cosmetics department. Girlfriend, hire a fag!
  • JohnInTexas · 1 year ago
It looks like Johnny's mortician has been doing it to me, shame they don't staple that yap of hers when they do her face.

    Also very well put.

    Brilliant!!!!!
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
    OMG! fabulous!

you jest but it is true. i think she gets her hair done at the Beehive beauty shop. they prolly do her make up too.

i have to say her lipstick is usually a very nice shade, though.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Well any piggy can put on a good shade of lip gloss. But that girl needs
some high faggotry for the debate coming up. Oh wait...that's right...we can
do their hair, their makeup, their interior design work, their couture gowns
for the inaugural ....BUT WE CAN'T GET MARRIED.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
    She is a boob.
  • ProgressiveTroll · 1 year ago
I found that comment on par with the community organizer quip. But it's no big deal, that's what Rethugs do. Attack and whine like sniveling little bitches.

Oh yeah . . . she'll just perform wonderfully at the debate. <--------- rampant sarcasm. It isn't the fact that she is stupid that is scary, it's the fact that she actually thinks she is smart that is the most frightening.
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
Couldn't of said it better myself.
She actually thinks she is winning them over.

( Someone please tell her there is a "KICK ME" sign pinned to her back )

Looks like the blithering REPUKE idiots are gonna keep palin on the ticket or so the right wing punditry says.... So the Obama camp's job is to show all the fence sitters how so wrong and unqualified she is. BTW i'm not a fan of the 10 percenters. We need new blood in the electoral process. Obama's catering to the young voters is a good plan. But make sure you drag all your best 100 friends to the poll, kicking and screaming if need be. TAKE THE DAY OFF!!!

Another lie: the 7 year-old Palin did NOT listen to Biden. (No 7 year-old would). She didn't even know who the f^ck he was until this year. That's the joke.
  • irishdave3 · 1 year ago
I think you are real ..She listened...but..didn't "pay good attention". Did they have radios in Alaska back in the Old days...IF they did she could "see"a radio and then ipso facto "knows everything that was ever on radio...You know that old saying Russia is like a Radio....

Jr. High rally queen to President of the USA. A small step for Sarah Palin, a disaster for the world.
  • High Crimes & Misdemeanors · 1 year ago
NEW YORK (AFP) - Sarah Palin spent Tuesday in Republican "boot camp" cramming for this week's vice presidential debate amid mounting concern over whether she is ready for a White House post and calls for her to quit the ticket.

    --------------------

No boot-camp in the world can change stupidity..... Thursday night is going to be great to watch.

And who ever said it on here, is right. Let Biden sit back and let he talk!!!
  • sukabi1 · 1 year ago
I think you have to give "credit" where credit is due, and probably a good 50-75% of the credit belongs squarely in the laps of her "trainers"... really, take a look at how McCain's run his entire campaign -- from start to finish it's been a series of gigantic screwups and clusterfucks... the only reason he's managed to survive through the primary process is because the "big money boys" didn't want any of the other creepy GOP candidates either... McCain was the least objectionable, most "sell-able" to the "undecideds"...

and that's not meant to cut Ms. Palin any slack at all, she should have said "Thanks, but no thanks" to McCain's offer as she clearly doesn't know what the hell she's doing or saying at any given minute...
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
My concern is that we may underestimigate Palin in a debate and that Biden may get over confident going in. Biden isn't known for boundaries....he kind of goes off-the cuff too much and it may damage him.
  • barts · 1 year ago
Um Gottes willin! Tina Fey would make a better Veep!
  • BarrieT · 1 year ago
That's not so damning. How about "Melissa Joan Hart would make a better VP" or "Paris Hilton would make a better VP"?
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Somebody put a spell on her, quick...or has that already been done?
  • HereinDC · 1 year ago
She's one of those kids who was passed along each grade because she was nice to the teacher.....even though she should of been held back.

The same thing happened in college. With those 6 colleges.....all the records got screwed up and so she was just passed along....thus getting her degree.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Yes, anyone get her records yet? And what about those financials...we already know about the numerous "gifts" she's received, but what about income? Everyone else has had to release theirs...but I suppose, along withg soft-balling questions and being deferential to this POS, she'll be exempt from every other vetting process by Americans as well.

Truman was a traitor to this country. he was a coward and syncophant. Nothing worse than that....

He effectively brought may of the new deal programs Roosevelt created to an end. i.e. the Breton Woods economic system which we so desperately need now. He dropped a nuclear bomb on a country that had effectively surrendered already. I have no love for this country bumpkin pushover....
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Hey, I'm with you on his record...just thought the quote fit this particular situation. : )
  • jcgraham77 · 1 year ago
BTW...am I to understand this is really the most qualified woman in the Republican party?
  • High Crimes & Misdemeanors · 1 year ago
no - she is the most politically expedient.... which tells you much about the REPUKE mindset.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Kay Bailey Hutchinson (and though I'm loathe to mention her, I must since I'm in her state) would have been a great choice for McCain. Experienced, more mature, Conservative but somewhat flexible, no real skeletons in her closet, etc. From what I've heard, the buzz is she was PISSED that since he wanted to go the "woman" route, he chose Palin (for obvious reasons) over her.

As HC&D said below, Palin was the most politically expedient, which tells you alot about McSame and his Country First crock o' shite...
  • shell · 1 year ago
It is amazing how this works. Teenagers often think their parents are SO slow/stupid/out-of-it, etc. Then, when they get out on their own, oftentimes in their 20s, their parents get so much smarter! In fact, there is an old adage: "It is amazing how much smarter my parents got, the older *I* got." I went through this, and my kids sure did.

But this is a teenage thing. Sarah Palin is 40-something, and has grown children. She reminds me of the type of mother who tries to BE in her childrens' age groups. You know -- the FRIEND. And how her children are turning out, it is no surprise.

I remember doing the "age insult" with my father -- you know: "I am only 14! And you are 50!" He must have laughed, thinking that I thought he should be envious of me, at age 14! hahaha

She just drags herself deeper into the "Bimbo Hole" -- every time she opens her mouth. I can't help but wonder how McCain's followers will take this. (The religious wackoes will follow her, like lemmings into the sea, no matter what she says. But what of the old Americans -- they prefer McCain over Obama, too. What do they make of this kind of talk?)
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
Excellent analogy. Not only is she green, unsophisticated, and morally corrupt, now she's appearing adolescent. Not just younger, but childish.
  • seohio · 1 year ago
Is it THURSDAY yet? I'm doing nothing but watching the preview for this week's SNL!
  • lisainWA · 1 year ago
Until I'm absolutely sure that McCain and Palin won't be elected I can't laugh. I'm too scared to think it's funny.
  • Savage8862 · 1 year ago
More important here is that she is discounting McCain's experience and saying "change" is more important. She just endorsed Barak Obama for President.
  • jsdc007 · 1 year ago
Uh, yeah, Caribou Barbie, I bet you spent those long Alaskan evenings listening to Biden's foreign policy speeches.
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
"So he's got a tremendous amount of experience ....and, he's got the experience based on many many years in the Senate"

For a woman who talks like Fran Drescher, it's amazing she can fit those high-heels in her mouth. So Palin is offering in-experience and ignorance over experience... ? Haven't we just gone through that with GW? More dots need to be connected, I guess. More propaganda needs to be catapulted.

She needs to shove those big feet further into her mouth and shut up.
  • twitches · 1 year ago
Sarah, honey, if you're gonna throw out all these ridiculous, sorely-lacking-in-substance insults that your speechwriters continuously script for you because they make your knuckle-dragging base roar with applause, at least have the balls to own up to them when Katie Couric asks you about them later. Pretending like you didn't mean the age comment as an insult actually drops you down from mere moron to complete asshat.
