AMERICAblog: BREAKING: AP: Sarah Palin Abused Her Power

  • BarbaraGordon · 1 year ago
Abuse of power - sounds like a Republican to me. I'm sure that they will find a way to blame this on Ayers.

Sarah (Implode Bible Spice) Palin--pack your bags and head back to Skagway. You're done and your little nasty pitbull dog too.
  • janiceinthemountains · 1 year ago
She needs to do the right thing and go off the ticket. McCain must insist on it.
  • Griffon · 1 year ago
"According to the AP, the report "does not recommend sanctions or a criminal investigation.""

Perhaps, but it does rate a MAJOR colonoscopy by the same media that has carried McCain's "Ayers water" for the past week....

Hahahahahaha, yeah, I know, what was I thinking? The media doing its job....

    TV ad:

bush abuse his power ... look at where this led us with the war and meltdown of the econmy.

Palin abused her power ... where do you think she will lead America?

    Obama/Biden 2008!
  • woodroad34 · 1 year ago
Wow! Abuse of power, but no sanctions...what is wrong with the American Government nowadays? It's been acknowledged that Bush and Cheney are guilty of high crimes and Pelosi says no impeachment, Palin is deemed abusive and no punishment. What incredibly low standards we have for our above-the-law leaders.

Don't you just have to WONDER how freakin' BAD were the crimes committed by STEVENS, that got him into FEDERAL COURT. These people protect each other to the death, so when one is actually charged, we KNOW it's AWFUL.

Damn those damned Republicans in the Legislature who are persecuting America's beloved Sarah and the First Dude! Couldn't even ONE of them have stood up for her?!

(I guess despite the McCain Campaign shysters-for-hire and their attempt to muddy the waters, her abuse of power was crystal-clear; the sort of shit pulled by a not-too-bright hausfrau on the PTA who's out to get her frenemy, also on the PTA, who bitched her out in the juice bar after Pilates).

Yeah who do those Republican Alaskan controlled Legislators think they aRE!!!!! THEY ARE TERRORISTS TO!!!!

    HAHA/ heavy humor and sarcasm.

Seriously do you think a Republican Controlled State Congress would go as far as to actually recommend sanctions? Besides Palin is corrupt enough to pardon herself.

    Or

John Sidney McCain could give her one of his 13 houses if she resigns?
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Branchflower could not file a complete enough report since there was major stonewalling and refusal of subpoenas. He names names. The Legislature can't impose anything to compel testimony until January, when they meet. Hence he has little power at this stage to begin a criminal investigation. This isn't the end of the affair, however.

Her 60+% popularity rating will start to go down. Lyda Green, who was cruelly mocked in Palin's presence, has just served up a delicious dish of revenge, stone cold. Palin's supposed credibility as an ethical reformer and "maverick" is seriously damaged. In the minds of many, she will be just another corrupt pol.

Is there anyone who's surprised by this?
  • interlude · 1 year ago
they should have waited another week or two to announce this. this early announcement gives McCain time to replace her with a saner running mate.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    WORST VP PICK EVER.
  • scottinsf · 1 year ago
These Alaska legislative panel findings mean nothing. The panel was stacked with republicans. This smacks of partisan smear attacks.

In other news: white is black, up is down....

It sounds like Sarah wasn't being very truthful about the firing of the police chief up there in Alaska there. It makes ya wonder what else she might be lying about, ya know?
  • Kcunac · 1 year ago
Oh, gosh, you know where I come from that is my home state of Alaska is the thing that if you're runnin' a government ethics are at the heart of the thing but if you just, you know, sit around and wait to figure out the best way to gut a moose, that beast is gonna just get up and an' it don't matter, like, what season is in. To quote one of our great Republican presidents all of history, Richard Milhorse Nixon, 'I am not a crook.' So lets not let the agenda be distracted by a bunch of radical leftist idea terrorists spilling lattes over th truth. The liberal media elite to could attack me through that Balak Obama, who's been palllin' around with far worse types than anybody I every fired and I think it is, you know, pretty clear what that's about. So I rebuke these findings like a partisan demon and as the great Theodore Roosevelt said 'For score them seven years ago'.

the "no recommendations for sanctions or criminal investigation" probably the deal worked out for unanimous vote to release.

Would have given anything to be in that room while they deliberated for 6 hours then came out unanimous.

Dear Diary: on one hand, this is the BEST vacation I ever had. It's like the Brady Bunch goes to the Grand Canyon AND Hawaii all rolled up into one. One the other hand, all I can say is it's just a good thing I don't really care what people say about me because I pray so hard. But I might give up reading all the newspapers.

McCAin says partisan inquiry Board. Un, wasn't that board 10 Republicans and 4 Dems?
  • News Nag · 1 year ago
I believe the punishment for Palin's abuse of power is as follows:

There's a tiny Aleutian island to which she will be banished for a period of not less than 12 months and maybe longer depending on her rehabilitation progress, with her potential release administered and decided solely by a committee of gay African-American Wiccan socialist members of Defenders of Wildlife, who have full discretionary powers to dictate the conditions of her release and the terms of her lengthy parole.

Oh, and I think she'll have quite the nice view of Putin's giant head and soulful eyes peeking at her from jussssst over the horizon.

Monegan may get himself a "golden parachute" Sarah may have given him a cause of action for damages for wrongful termination. It is enough to make out a case for Monegan if the refusal to terminate the trooper was a "substantial" or "motivating factor" in her descision to terminate him. Methlin v. Bartholomew (Alaska 1998) 971 P.2d 151 at page 154. And there are lots of similar cases.

My faith in the system has been partially renewed. Sarah Palin as governor failed to uphold the law and the oath which she took ...so help her god. Her actions should carry consequence. The wheels of justice move slowly but I forsee a November fourth trial, and the verdict is...NO. NO to Mccain/ Palin and NO to the Republican Party,
