Russia is not going to invade Poland . It is a well established country with no border dispute or internal problems. Georgia was an entirely different issue and the whole purpose of her comments was to dredge up dreams that McCain and Palin would have prevented the situation in Georgia because they would have gone to war.

Actually, Hurricane Ike is about to quite literally blow every other news story out of the water for the next few days -- and that, I predict, is when Obama will begin his counteroffensive.

If Obama had responded hard to all of this earlier this week it would've been drowned out in 9/11 and Ike noise. Next week they'll all be cleared out, the country will hopefully start feeling some LyingMILF Fatigue, and Obama will have the opening to refocus on McSame and the utter lack of change that he really will bring.

And sometimes you need to just give the other side enough rope to hang themselves. We always KNEW McSame would get filthy dirty and would lie and it's safe to say so did Obama. The key is to attack and get maximum bang for the smack (see what Obama did when McSame forgot how many houses he owned and how the McSame campaign utterly melted down as a result) and Obama has shown he and his campaign do have a sense of when to strike and strike hard, and how to strike.

The important moments for Obama to move will be in the last three weeks to build up to making sure all those new and excited voters get their ballots in early and build the drama and excitement -- as he did before Denver. That's when it's important, and I'm confident he and the campaign are ready for it.

Sometimes waiting IS the smart move, and this is one such moment.

Look, if you don't want to respond to "certain people" than perhaps you shouldn't; as a result when you posted that comment (above) it really read badly.

Heck, I think we all make comments at times, that we don't mean or may come off more harshly than intended, that's just kind of human nature (and tired blogging fingers).

In Sarah' s defense, she is delusional, and most probably this VP pick, has gone into her head, because of the screaming crowds that want her to be VP because she is a mother of five. So she does not have experience in foreign affairs, so what? So she is yet another Bush, so what? As long as she is white, christian, fiercely pro life, and will be against gay marriage, that is what is important. People are willing to do without jobs, and healthcare, as long as they can have McCain and Palin in the WH.
