    If we can get to Jan. 20 without them bombing Iran, then it was because of progressive raising the alarm for several years now. Still almost 6 months to go.

    That had been done by January 20th 2001.
    In any case, by the time that Bush took office the situation in Israel/ Palestine was so screwed that up Bush couldn't make it much worse despite his best efforts.

    Well you can pretty much pack up any chance George Bush had at getting anything done in the Arab/Israeli situation.

    That was NEVER part of the plan...seen any settlement building lately??

    It's time to reinstate Sharon as PM as he is the safest bet and is already prepared to manage a regional peace solution which is in a persistent vegetative state .

    Georgie boy never had a chance ot getting "anything done" in this situation in the first place. He and his advisers are clueless and/or evil. They only wanted enough superficial progress to be made so that Bushie's "historical image" wouldn't stink so much. And that's not going to happen, either.

    According to CNBC this morning that is why oil prices surged. Ehrin Bernett said that the Olmert's replacement, I forget his name, has announced that Israel must not wait any longer and that they will attack Iran, so they are replacing one sicko with someone who is even more insane.

    I heard on CNBC this morning that the reason oil prices surged today was that the new Prime Minister that will replace Olmert has declared "Israel must attack Iran now" (according to Ehrin Burnett), so the new guy is apparently more of a warmonger than Olmert
