AMERICAblog: Bush adviser: Boycotting Olympics ceremony is a "cop-out"

  • Belinda · 1 year ago
Notice Billary tried to insert herself into this issue to make herself relevant. She called on Bush to boycott the openeing ceremonies even though it was her and Bill who specifically benefited from questionable Chinese funding and were caught up in the Johnny Wu scandal. I guarantee the witch wouldn't follow through on her own rhetoric if she was potus. The Clintons have been bought and sold by the Chinese many times over. They have no right to now suddenly speak out against the regime.

Yes, which is one of my many bad memories of the Clinton adminstration. During Bill's first campaign he spoke of revisiting the issue of Bush 41 giving China MFN status, and possibly revoking it.

He never revoked it, he never revisited it or gave the appearance of it.

That needs to be a new meme: If he attends the Beijing Olympics, then Bush is a supporter of Communism.

Shrubya doesn't want to be seen as another Jimmy Carter, although I will always maintain that the US boycott of the '80 Olympics in Moscow deprived the Soviet Union of vast amounts of commercial TV revenue and other related funding that, coupled with the Soviet overspending on its military, hastened the breakup of the USSR.

    But then, I guess that I'm just a DFH, don'tchaknow. . .

Hadley during the interview - with Stephanopoulos specifically asking about Tibet - said "Nepal" five times - staggeringly stupid or diversionary.

The Clinton's just don't want Bush to horn in on their territory.

Except for getting our troops killed and stuck in Iraq, Bush is completely irrelevant. I hope he goes to China and stay there. Bush and his corpofascists have done more to help China rise to a super power than the Chinese themselves.

Chris Wallace had just done an interview with Clinton-Obama shills on whether Obama hadn't insulted small town Americans for being "bitter and frustrated". Got to watch your language, Barack my friend. Then Hadley insults every country in the world because they evidently have not thought of using diplomacy with China. THAT however, must be OK.

Bush Security Adviser Stephen Hadley Can't Tell The Difference Between Nepal And Tibet
...and McSame can't tell Iran from Iraq nor Shi'a from Sunni. The GOP is the party of stupidity.

Boycotting the Olympics is a cop out, when you should be focusing your energy on getting Bushco to the Hague for war crimes.

yes that quiet diplomany of Bush 43's father, Bush 41, given China MFN status when they deserved it NOT has worked soooooo well.

"Qiet Diplomacy" is code for "give them everything the want and NEVER come down hard on human rights abuses, etc."

The US won't do shit to piss off our new owners, the communist Chinese. they own half a trillion in US Treasury bonds and notes that they would dump on the market in a minute if we don't genuflect towards Beijing and its Olympic spectacle.

Working within the system. That's how some of the old-time hippies showed their true colors and became the yuppies of the nasty eighties. Work within the system. Kick the little guy, disenfranchise the poor, forclose on the widows and mislead the orphans. That's working within the system. I've heard enough about that tactic to last several more lifetimes. Do I sound bitter? Oh, my!

Can someone answer this? Was Bush ever planning on attending the opening ceremonies in the first place? Did he go to the Athens Olympics? Wiki says his dad was there but doesn't mention W at all. NPR says the president hasn't gone to a foreign opening ceremony in decades. It would be ironic if he has to interrupt his August off to go to a ceremony he wasn't originally going to go to, just to show he can't be bossed around. Maybe he'll throw up in someone's lap. We can hope?

You'd have to be a fool to believe that Bush would choose a principled stance over enjoying the presidential perk of sitting front row at a sporting event.
