AMERICAblog: Bush DHS failing, yet again

  • DCinDC · 1 year ago
The MSM does not investigate enough of these types of government failures. The American public goes along everyday thinking all is well when the whole country is falling apart. To think many Americans still want McCain to perform as president in another 3rd Bush term of failed policies.

Do nothing for 7 years to protect the borders, ports, etc. and all of a sudden, DHS is concerned about smuggling? The criminals are already here and who knows exactly what has been smuggled in besides the usual drugs and people. I am all for immigration, when done right--when it isn't, you have a rise in criminal activity.

The Russian Mafia is taking over, slowly, beach areas like Myrtle Beach, SC in addition to working worldwide with criminal enterprises in other countries, working the wholesale drug trade, loan sharking, selling surplus military materiel, running prostitution, etc. Not only have Latino gangs taken over the drug trade in a number of cities, but they also have taken over construction sub-contracting in a number of areas such as sheetrock work, masonry, and more skilled trades, including plumbing and electrical work, often using smuggled individuals (including other gang members) to fill out their work force.

Many, many women from other countries are brought here to work in the sex trade, often being promised legitimate jobs but only finding out once they get here that they have to "work off" their passage (which they never do, of course). And we've heard about raids on sweatshops, which use illegals who won't complain about pay and conditions. And exactly how many illegals who do domestic work for the well off are having taxes and SS taken from their pay? Probably the same as construction workers who are paid in cash as well. So, there is a lot of exploitation going on.

I guess this regime waited until the economy started tanking before taking any action, in spite of complaints people have been making for years. After all, they don't listen to the people--ever.

The Russian Mafia was in Key West, then pushed up the shore by the Israeli Mafia into the Miami area only to be displaced by the Haitians who aggrivate the Cubans by not speaking Spanish and now they've made it all the way north to Myrtle Beach. It's interesting to observe the progress. How long will it take for the RM to reach Washington, D.C. and then push into the Long Island area and up towards Cape Cod? They seem to leave fresh layers of sex trade and illegal worker pools and downright mean gang members as they move. The funny thing is, they seem to do best where Republicans are in office. I don't get the connection. Maybe I'm not supposed to get the connection . . . That's a scary bunch.

this administration has shown that corporations mean everything and the common person means nothing. the house and senate also let this administration get away with this. the old school boys in washington d.c. have to be thrown out of office. bush and cheney need to be put on trial and if convicted put away for a long time. we have to change the way things work in d.c. or nothing will change.

Indigo, the Russian Mafia have been in this country for a while...Brighton Beach...here's an old article (circa 1998) regarding them.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/special_report/1998/...

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies have known about them for a long time.

The line I found most ... interesting was this:

"homeland security officials have reconstituted an internal affairs unit at Customs and Border Protection, one of the largest federal law enforcement agencies"

So just how long has there been no Internal Affairs oversight of Customs and Border Protection? How long have they all known there was no oversight, that they could get away with anything? Probably from the first day Bush took over the office, but I speculate...

"It has grown so worrisome that job applicants will soon be subject to lie detector tests to ensure that they are not already working for smuggling organizations."

What? If you apply for police officer at any city around the country, applicants are routinely subjected to lie detector tests. But work for the Dept. of Homeland Security, fer pete's sake, and NOT have to take one?

Sounds like the work of a Regency U grad.

This is one of the better corruption cases not mentioned in the article:
    November 20, 2005

For Border Patrol officials, it could scarcely have been more embarrassing.

One of their own was an illegal immigrant.

And, investigators say, he was using his government-issued truck to smuggle other illegal immigrants into the United States.

How could this happen? How could the government agency charged with guarding the nation's borders hire someone in the country illegally? And could it happen again?

"... have reconstituted an internal affairs unit at Customs and Border Protection, one of the largest federal law enforcement agencies..."

WTF? One of the largest federal police agencies has been operating without an internal affairs unit? For how long? Why?
