But Americans don't know about these things. They don't read the news. They don't read blogs. Hell, they don't even WATCH the news. And, of course, the media doesn't adequately (if at all) report these stories. So the American people DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING. This is a shocking failure by our media.

Add to that the plethora of negative character ads that will be rolling out against Obama, and you have Ignorant Soup. I had some plumbing done in a house own recently.........the poor guy had the silly idea that I thought like he did..........he was on a rant about that gaffe Obama made a while back about camaigning in 57 states........"you know what he really meant, don't ya?" he asked........................I went ahead and grabbed the opportunity to saddle up........."no, what?"...................."it means he's calling all 57 Moslem countries in the world and sending them a signal"................how many people think I let him finish the job?

If the federal government is once again going to be negligent in its duties to protect the citizens of this country, then the States will have to once again step in.

People should work through their State governments to get any of this heinous substance outlawed individually, and anyone found to be selling tainted food products should be jailed for five years or more. Let the federal government worry about its relationship with China, the States can take care of their citizenry.

After 8 years of the horrible presidency of George Bush, people ought to realize that the federal government no longer serves the people of the United States. If we are to have any government that serves the people it will have to be the State governments.

They have been negiligent for the past 8 y ears. Where are our Senators and Congressmen who are supposed ot represent us and prevent this kind of thing. Weil boys and girls, they are busy giving $847 BILLION of our money to the richest Americans. There is no money to help the average American. They laugh at any thought of representing their constituents. It is about their buddies the lobbyists and the corporations and my prediction is the bailout is a sham and will do nothing to help the stock market or bail out the middle class or poor.

Don't forget: Well over 90% of us who live in DC voted for Gore & Kerry - and will vote for Obama. Lose DC, and you lose the most reasonable bunch of voters in America.

Correction and limitation, if Congress and K Street were to fall of the map while Congress was in session then I would most surely clap. Too broad a brush before.

Excellent point Shirley. The rest of the country should follow DC's lead, because they live within the hornets nest known as our government, and see and hear these people most, and they voted for Gore and Kerry and will go Obama. If you drain the swamp, make sure you only drain the pus.

Check out Kent Hill's background. He is a fundie from Nazarene University and that was his qualification for the job. The fundies don't want any birth control. I will be so happy to see these pieces of cow dung thrown onto the street. They will all end up at the lobbyist or Institute's the republicans love so much.

I have expected this thing to occur. They added it to our pet food, why wouldn't they do it in the human food chain, since it has more chance for profit?

Nothing China exports to us is safe....absolutely nothing. I bet that we still will find lead paint on toys, and other things if they looked. They poisoned our heparin and it received little play. They intentionally poisoned the sickest of the sick and we will never know how many thousand were damged or killed by it.

What really concerns me is that our pharmaceutical companies are using raw ingredients and even manufacturing in China. That should be STOPPED AND IMMEDIATELY, unless they have to send samples to two, authorized by the FDA companies, for every shipment or lot, of the ingredients. The government should send the samples, and the companies should not be permitted to know who is analyzing their stuff.

The raw ingredients should have to maintain the strictest possible line of sources throughout the process.

Additionally folks, virtually all our raw ingredients for vitamins and food supplements are being sourced to China now. You can BET ON IT, A SURE THING, that we are being poisoned by it.

I suggest that every last American contact the manufacturers of any medications or vitamins or supplements they consume and DEMAND THAT THEY NOT SOURCE INGREDIENTS OR MANUFACTURE IN CHINA.

One of the first things Congress should do upon being sworn in for the new session is to pass a bill which required strict documentation for all foodstuffs, strict documentation of raw ingredients for meds and the meds themselves, and require the TESTING OF ALL INGREDIENTS COMING FROM CHINA.
