AMERICAblog: Bush heading to Texas to prep for hurricane. Will the sun ruin his photo-op this time, too?

Who's breast-feeding Palin's Grandson while she's off fighting hurricanes? Maybe Trigg's Mom is stepping up.

If the sun does shine, the Bush team will claim he was standing in the eye of the hurricane.

McCain just got lucky........No Bush, No Cheney at the GOP convention and, using the "Gustov" excuse, he may just give a video acceptance speech eliminating the prospect of him embarrasing himself at a live event where it's kind of difficult to handle those note cards........... in his case, less coverage of him is a plus.......

Gustov is turning out to be a lucky break for the repubs. Now they won't have to match the Dem convention with their lame line-up.

speaking of political props: you notice how Palin brought her littlest daughter to Mississippi on the eve of the big storm? Doesn't that seem kind of odd?
I guess her grandson was not cute enough.

Since no one knows exactly where that hurricane is going that seems a little reckless don't you think.

Joe --- you say the email came from ABC news. Were they privy to the WH information or were they just the first to send out emails? Just curious.

Aww, this completely ruins his chance to have that Labor Day cookout on the front lawn of the White House. What will he do with all that extra PBR?

The rethugs are masters of taking advantage of situations, and getting their photo ops. As we know, we have seen Bumbling Bush do it many times, and now we know it was all orchestrated, and staged to impress the naive.
Bush is so worried that he is going to leave the WH with low, low, approval ratings, and that he has nothing worthwhile mentioning for his legacy. He has been a miserable failure, who has done nothing, nada, zilch, for the people of this country, but has made sure his damn rich donors from the energy companies, and defense contractors, have become wealthy beyond their dreams. So now, he, after the disaster of Katrina, makes sure, that before he exits the WH for good, he is able to leave for the American people, a few good pictures showing him doing something that resembles care and compassion. Too late, George.
As for Palin with her big hoop earrings, she is another disaster waiting to happen, and the current mess, made by Bush, would get larger and uglier, if McPain and Palin gets voted by the idiotic Americans, who unfortunately, live in this country.

Some things never change. It was all about the photo op for Bush, just like today it's all about the photo op for McCain.
The reason they go for the photo-ops is they have zero, nada, zilch, nothing, nothing at all else to offer the American people as a measure of their accomplishments.
