Wasn't Bush grandfather a Nazi SUPPORTER?
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
What a sad, petulant little turd he is.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Yeah, his family supported the Nazis. Nothing matters to these assholes. They will say anything, do anything. They aren't republicans, they're psychopaths. Maybe we're waking up as a country. Their line of crap isn't working anymore, at all.

Hey, John, what about a meet-up/celebration on 1/20/09???
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
    Let's plan that one in mid-november :-)
  • Milli · 1 year ago
Yes, but I also want to see Bush get on that plane and leave town. Preferably, I'd like to have a drink in one hand and confetti in the other...................
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago

Grandson of Nazi Enabler Decries Talking to Nazis
By: emptywheel Thursday May 15, 2008 6:50 am

Boy, George Bush must not have liked his Granddaddy Prescott very much. Here's what he just said to Israel's Knesset:

Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: "Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler, all of this might have been avoided." We have an obligation to call this what it is – the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.

I have been steaming about this since I saw the clip on MSNBC about a half hour ago. It is bad enough this shit for brains president has totally shrouded this nation with his fear mongering BUT now doing the same in Israel is UNFORGIVABLE. Senator John Kerry had a fiery response to the absolute insane speech Bush made. I was so mad I cannot remember what Kerry said but it was forceful.

People are/have been working toward Middle East peace for a long, long time. Not only is Bush shooting down any progress BUT he also has compared Obama to a Nazi appeaser. He has inserted HIS political views in a speech in a foreign country.

    The man is certifiably insane!!!

Prescott was ........THE BANKER to the Nazi war machine and deathcamps....google it....also was hammered with TRADING WITH THE ENEMY status
  • TheOriginalLiz · 1 year ago
So how do the Israelis put up with the grandson of a Nazi sympathizer? I'm surprised they let him in the country.

"We have heard this foolish delusion before" GWB

Yes indeed George. You and your gang of war criminals, are still delusional.
You think the surge is a success, you think your bloody war without exit is going well, you think you heard God's voice, and attacked an innocent country, resulting in the deaths of more than a million, at least two million displaced, and hundreds of thousands horribly injured.
It is realistic to try and negotiate with your enemies (even your made up ones), before you go ahead with your cowboy policies. Imagine how many lives you would have saved, if you put aside your arrogance, and prevented this unacceptable attack on Iraq.
You are the stupidest man in this country, and the idiots voted for you.

Here is a link to Think Progress that, in addition to the article has a video link of the clip. Why this wasn't the top headline at Huff post is beyond me, their headline was about Al Gore. Anyway go watch shit for brains make his statement.

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

Seems our Republican Tom Davis likes to phrase tar baby when referring to Senator Obama.

    http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0508/Tar...

“Remember,” Davis writes, “Hispanic voters are a swing group in this election and future elections. John McCain, being from a border state, may be out of sync with many Republicans but he has standing among Hispanics. Barrack Obama has not made the sale to Hispanic voters. Thus, this issue is a tar baby for anyone who touches it, with land mines everywhere.”

It is obvious these bastards have gone off their meds. They are starting to reveal their racism and you know what it is a good thing.
  • mountainhigh · 1 year ago
And here I thought the Republicans were going to use race. Here is a paragraph from a BBC article:

"The BBC's James Coomarasamy in Washington says the row indicates that Republicans have identified Senator Obama's Middle East policy and his perceived weakness amongst Jewish voters as a key point of attack, should he, as many expect, be Republican John McCain's opponent in the November election."

I am not surprised at all by this attack on Democrats. Lieberman must have written red meat in the speech for Bush's Israel visit.

Bush is a war criminal; his grand dad was a Nazi sympathiser. It's all in the family.

I would have loved to have been there to hear Bush try to pronounce "ingenious."

I said this earlier and I have to say it again:

BUSH AND ROVE ARE AT IT AGAIN. They will do anything to get Hillary to be McBush's running mate. Bush's speech to Israel, regarding Obama, again was based on the typical fear tactics of this administration. Nothing has changed after all these years and the sad part is they still think they can make it work. What a joke! It will be a blessing and the best gift America can receive when this administration is gone!

    IMPEACH NOW!

    BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW!
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Even worse: Johnny Mac's new buttboy, Joe Lieberman (I [Insufferable]-CT) chiming in as well within MINUTES to smear Obama.
  • MorgaineSwann · 1 year ago
The irony of Bush calling anyone a NAZI is painful. His grandfather was sanctioned for doing business with the Nazis, and GW has personally created all 14 defining conditions of fascism here in the good ole USA. What really pisses me off is that no one in the media, nor Obama himself, will call him on it.
  • amossa · 1 year ago
Here is a President who failed in all level leadership negotiations in his terms comparing somone much smarter and highly well-liked amongst all voters. I am not puzzelled nor surprised with his incompetent statement to kiss Isralies asses for a hope to support his party.

A true leader should always negotiate for betterment of his/her country. Life is all about negotiation...unfortunately, Bush the day he stepped in the white house. He has caused the US and the nations around the world nothing but instability with his cowboy minded mentality.

Hasn't he realized so far, that he has failed in Iraq, and he is failing in Afghanistan. Now by his nonsense statements causing more problems for the next president of the United States.

Obama will put ease to this turmoil that Bush and his buddies created in middleeast. A Sovereign nation has the right to build anything they want. No other nation can force its way to change their idealogy. But one thing can be done is by negotiating and solving the issues in between two nations.

Fear, lies, force, gimmicks, none of these will work. If it did work. The US would not be in this situation...with economu hitting south, dollar is devaulating on daily basis, housing crisis, unemployment at record high, RECISSION and more

Negotiation is all about win win situation ...both parties must win something. If one side loses...then there is a problem arise.

Bush...your days are numbered in the white house. Soon this country will face prosperity.

The comments of George Bush are absolutely ridiculous. He is giving Buchanan (not Pat) a serious run for his money!!! I am a firm supporter of Obama and am excited about his presidency. That being said, I did not see anything in the comments of Bush that suggested he was criticizing Obama (or other liberals) as Nazi sympathizers as the title to this thread suggests. The appeasement claim by Bush is reprehensible enough on its own. Please, allow the ridiculous right to keep their virtual monopoly on misstatements and exaggerations.

This just goes to show that neither George Bush or the Israeli Knesset have any shame. How they can sit there in silence when the grandson of Prescott Bush, Nazi banker and winner of "Trading with the enemy" status in 1942 lectures Obama on fascist tendencies.

It makes you wonder exactly what they, the Knesset, learned in those camps in Germany and how they survived them. Who's got the high walls and barbed wire now boys?
