AMERICAblog: Bush prepares G20 lecture on "principles of free market"

  • Older_Wiser · 1 year ago
Principles? How about the second Great Depression in only 75 years?

It's coming, thanks to Bush and his greedy cohorts on Wall St. who believe in what he describes as "free market principles."

You simply cannot blow up a balloon with your own hot air and not expect it to burst or deflate over a short period of time.

    Crony Capitalism is not capitalism.

"Free market" capitalism -- as they pump trillions of dollars into corporations that failed because of inept and corrupt management. What the hell is free market about that. In a truly free market, they would be allowed to fail.
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
"Free market" is such an oxymoron. Mother Earth, who is raped for her resources, doesn't look at it quite that way. And when climate changes, and water becomes less available, etc., "Free" is going to come back and kick us in the ass.

If Bush was any more narrow minded then he is we could call him planar man.

Bush (GOP) took ignorance, bigotry, lies and crimes to a new high. But have no fears my fellow dittoheads, not only will Palin rescue you and take you to even greater heights of absurdity, the Dems are going play nice and make it all better for ya.

Free markets? Is that what they are calling this now? Where you dump several hundred billion into AIG exec's pockets so they can go play golf at that tacky Phoenix (all of Phoenix is tacky) resort??? That's free market capitalism? And Caribou Barbie is gearing up for 2012?

Bette Davis said that you should never speak ill of the dead. The GOP is dead. Good.

I really don't get it. It's embarrassing to have him on the world stage spouting this crap like he's completely oblivious but is he trying to completely destroy the Republican Party as well? At some point don't the Republicans have to address reality? Wow. I guess he's decided to go out in blaze of partisan glory.

I picture him arriving at the conference in a clown car.

As I understand it, the Republicans have a very sound idea of reality. Their intention is utterly, completely and thoroughly economically destroy this nation. From that point, they will be able to build their ideological pure and perfect state totally free of that damn piece of paper and all the absurd, disgusting, stupid, liberal principles it represents.

Bush is too dumb to have any idea what free market or free market capitalism is. Would you believe Sarah Palin has any idea what she was talking about if she were to use these terms. Bush is may be1, maybe 1/2 or maybe even 1/4 IQ point brighter than Palin.

Embarrassment? Heck, I was embarrassed back in 2000, that he was even running for office and what that said to the world about American leadership. I cringed at the idea of his representing us before other world leaders. Makes you wonder about January 20, if Cheney pulls his hand out of Bush's back, will the dummy simply collapse on the stage next to Obama. Oh, that would be the ultimate embarrassment and certainly cast a humiliating dark, dark shadow over what should be such a bright day, Obama's inauguration. Get the impression the Republicans would gladly humiliate Obama's great achievement that way.

Dubya is obviously a commie dupe, a socialist plant, a leftist patsy, programmed to make capitalism look bad. It's dastardly, but ingenious. And he's masterful at it. Imagine the mind behind that unrelenting foolish-act! What cunning! What skill! You've gotta hand it to those pinko bastards, they know their agitprop! I can hear them applauding all the way from the secret politburo under Red, excuse me, Free Market Square in Moscow! Now, who do we have that can make the Marxists look bad? Really, nobody since Groucho.

Nope! He's a neocon plant. Reason is, Bush himself is too stupid to trust with the real neocon agenda. He is indeed a dupe, a sucker used for a front. But as with 9/11, he knows nothing of what is going on or the real agenda.

    .
    So he's a dupe-dupe? A double-dupe? What if he's a triple-dupe: A dupe-dupe-dupe???

Dubya is our most effective advocate for socialism, ever: The only one to actually make it the White House. He's like a developmentally-challenged Debs. He sits in the Oval Office all day and toys with a jack-in-the-box that plays "The Internationale," until Trotsky's head pops out of it. No, there's no axe. But he loves it, just the same. "ARISE!" he likes to shout. It makes Mr. Cheney laugh, so.

Obama was right to leave this summit to Bush and Bush alone.

Is this true? I thought Bush snubbed Obama again. I thought it was another example of Bush's gracious transition, and his dtermination to make it the smoothest ever.

I do hope all those economic leaders listen closely to President Bush. I'm sure they could use a good laugh right about now.

These idiots in the republican party will never learn. How stupid are we that we elect this type of people - and then, we have the Palins! Good lord, save me from these jerks!
  • anarchy · 1 year ago
maybe he should talk about his success
    with Harken Oil.

    THAT should impress everybody.

    worst. President. EVER.
