AMERICAblog: Bush to invoke 9/11 tonight as reason to elect McCain. Is 9/11 a reason to elect President Palin too?

  • dad · 1 year ago
    no reason

It looks like Bush is bringing that old fear card again. It helped him in 2004, so I guess they are going to try and use it again, since they have nothing worthwhile mentioning to run on. What people should be afraid of is, that McCain might be unable to finish his term, due to illness, and that this wet behind the ears, rookie, Palin, who is clueless about Iraq and foreign affairs, will be the President of this country. Now that is something to really be afraid of.

Yes, the republicans are as usual using the same dirty tactics just to win the election.

    OT:

    Palin's church hostile to Jews?

An illustration of that gap came just two weeks ago, when Palin’s church, the Wasilla Bible Church, gave its pulpit over to a figure viewed with deep hostility by many Jewish organizations: David Brickner, the founder of Jews for Jesus.

Palin’s pastor, Larry Kroon, introduced Brickner on Aug. 17, according to a transcript of the sermon on the church’s website.

“He’s a leader of Jews for Jesus, a ministry that is out on the leading edge in a pressing, demanding area of witnessing and evangelism,” Kroon said.

Brickner then explained that Jesus and his disciples were themselves Jewish.

“The Jewish community, in particular, has a difficult time understanding this reality,” he said.

Brickner’s mission has drawn wide criticism from the organized Jewish community, and the Anti-Defamation League accused them in a report of “targeting Jews for conversion with subterfuge and deception.”

Brickner also described terrorist attacks on Israelis as God's "judgment of unbelief" of Jews who haven't embraced Christianity.

"Judgment is very real and we see it played out on the pages of the newspapers and on the television. It's very real. When [Brickner's son] was in Jerusalem, he was there to witness some of that judgment, some of that conflict, when a Palestinian from East Jerusalem took a bulldozer and went plowing through a score of cars, killing numbers of people. Judgment — you can't miss it."

Palin was in church that day, Kroon said, though he cautioned against attributing Brickner’s views to her.

Ya, right. Just like the Republicans didn't attribute Rev. Wright's words to Obama.
I just love the 'hands off" when the hands don't belong to the Republicans.

Exactly. Where is the outrage and approbation due to Palin because of HER pastor's extreme views?

President Palin??...in the White House??....what a frightening thought.

President Palin WILL follow Bin Laden to the Gates of Hell, doing the Lord's work. She'll blast him out of his cave with her moose-killin' firearm. Backwards. In high heels.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
If Bush wasn't sleeping on the job, there wouldn't have been a 9/11.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
He should have been impeached at that time

    Incompetent
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
Yeah, the Dems let him off the hook.

You can't defeat a terrorist organization that operates in 80 countries by occupying one of the countries it doesn't operate in.

The ignorance and lying seem to come naturally for her.

Weird how Bush gets away with all his 911 crapola and scaring people about Democrats......considering Bin Laden is in the Afghan-Pakistan border regrouping.

7 yrs later and Bush did not capture the one behind 911.
  • An_American_Karol · 1 year ago
Bin Laden has spent the last seven years thumbing his nose and making an ass of Bush. Bush is too big a fool to care. McCain is Bush's pet poodle.

Palin - One Melanoma away from the Presidency.
  • rexkc · 1 year ago
They've used 911 to justify everything else. The public bought it at least until 2 years ago. Why stop now?

Get real folks, if the repugs win this election the same people will pull the puppet strings at the White House as do now. Chimp is a sock puppet, Cheney has far more control but is still controlled by the 1% of this world who control all the rest. If Obama wins he will be in the fight of his life to gain even part of the control of this country that should be in the hands of the many, not the few.

Bold move by Bush to go to the Rudy Giuliani playbook.

    Totally OT:

The new google browser, Chrome, is AWESOME! It has resolved all the problems with Firefox I had after a recent computer crash, plus it's faster and safer and the page is very clean-looking and easy to use. For those interested, here's more info:

Bill Gross, UPS Pilot Cleveland, North Dakota just spoke at the RNC Convention. Did he speak at the DNC Convention? Sure looked like UPS was endorsing McCain/WTF. Nice chat about Farm Rescue but a little weird. Ask UPS..

For those who don't know Bud Day's Medal of Honor was for silence regarding John McShame's behavior as a POW, Repugs will dishonor anything.

The PR Movie about the first President Bush was INCOMPLETE.

It failed to recite such things as:

    - The Iran-Contra Arms Deal.
    - The Savings & Loan debacle that Neil Bush helped bring about.
    - October surprise
  • mf_roe · 1 year ago
Failed to explain that Bush Sr was the sole surviour of plane crash because he bailed out on his crew leaving them behind to die. A preview of things to come.

And no mention of his nazi loving pappy Prescott. And now his not ready for primetime son.

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself."

Funny how one generation took those words to heart and worked through a Depression and a World War. Another forgets them and runs the country into ruin.

Chimp claims McShame is the man to start more wars, will Chimp's tongue now fall out for speaking truth?
  • Chris From Maine · 1 year ago
"I was a POW" is the new "9/11".
  • alicef · 1 year ago
I agree with all of John's sentiments. Mc Cain and Palin are shams and I believe our America as we know it will cease to exist if the Republican party continues. I do wish that John would stop saying that Mcain has had 4 bouts of cancer. He has had skin cancer lessions removed which is very diffirent from having "cancer 4 times." We have plenty of ammo other than distortions of truth.
