AMERICAblog: Bush visit to London unnecessarily inconvenienced 40,000 air travelers

  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
Bush has unnecessarily inconvenienced six to seven billion people for far too long. A he arrogantly displays a pathological indifference to anyone involved.

"..he arrogantly displays a pathological indifference to anyone"

Unrep - I couldn't have said it better. The death throws of a megalomaniac knowing that the time is short that he'll have to flee to Paraguay to escape extradition to the world court for mass murder. Why this was even allowed is beyond the imagination - the Brits have greatly disappointed me in the last 8 years - I use to respect them but not anymore.

In everything he does, Dubya and his band of merry war criminals are self-centered, arrogant, sociopathic, narcissistic pricks. Normally, that would constitute an ad hominem attack. In this case, I firmly stand behind the assertion that such is merely reporting on that which is observed. Couldn't land at a military base, what, because it doesn't provide as nice a set of publicity shots? A few publicity shots is worth disrupting 68 airline flights? That sounds like self-centered, arrogant, sociopathic (no concept or care of his actions' impact on others), and narcissistic (it's all about HIM, HIM, HIM) behavior to me. Sounds like pretty prickish behavior, to boot.

Asinine. Embarrassing. Two apt words for George W Bush.

I guess it never occurred to him that he just might have fucked over some poor working man who only gets 10 days of vacation a year who had to spend 10% of it sitting in an airport with the wife and kids in a state of discomfort, lost the non-refundable deposit on one night of the hotel and rental car, missed the pre-paid excursion and generally had a roundly miserable time instead of a well-deserved bit of relaxation. Nor did he consider the person traveling to see an ailing relative who lost one of the last days available to share with that person.

But don't tell him. He's liable to look them up and, camera people in tow, hug them.

John, have you gotten an advance copy of Bugliosi's 'The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder'? It seems like a great idea. One that I'd accept in lieu of impeachment.

i can no longer be angry w/ bush. he's just a product of his environment. he comes from a long line of corruption and he's just doing his part. he can't help it if he's a miserable failure at everything he does. i'm sure the drug use didn't help.

i'm more angry at the enablers. the passive citizen who can't be bothered to know what our gov't officials are up to.

basically, we got george bush because we deserved george bush.

i'd like to think that's all about to change but i guess we'll see.

he's just a product of his environment.

What??? Hitler , Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt and Gandhi were all 'men of their times' but all 'chose' their own paths. Bush pulls his own strings.
  • michaelt · 1 year ago
you think bush pulls his own strings? you give him alot more credit than i do. he's a complete and utter moron. i don't believe he can fly a plane. i don't believe he can balance a budget. shit, i don't think he can tie his own shoes. and when i say a product i mean he grew up a snotty, privilaged kid who never had to answer or account for his actions. his father and grandfather are world class criminals. he's a lawless, irresponsible buffoon that more than deserves the scorn and ridicule that awaits him post presidency.

If you have not figured it out, bush was there to take orders from this masters: The British Oligarchy.

You have bamboozled to think they are our friends.

Empire building is tough, trying to maintain that empire is tougher.

We are the puppets of the British Oligarchy.

The better question is this: What were his marching orders??

    I salute your optimism, but...

Record-High 55% of Americans “Financially Worse Off”
First time in Gallup history a majority see their financial situations as worse than the year before

May 15, 2008 · Americans are feeling pessimistic about the direction the country is heading, a new bipartisan NPR poll suggests

CBS Poll: 81% Say U.S. On Wrong Track
(CBS) Americans' views on the economy and the general state of the country have hit an all-time low in the history of the CBS News/New York Times poll. Eighty-one percent of those polled say the country is on the wrong track, while only 14 percent believe it is heading in the right direction.

Asked to compare the state of the country to how it was five years ago, 78 percent say things are worse today - the highest percentage since CBS News began asking the question in 1986. Only four percent say things are better now.

It happens all the time when Junior goes to Europe. They shut down entire cities. I have a friend from Istanbul who was telling me about his visit there a few years ago. While Clinton walked down the street and greeted people, when Bush came to visit they literally locked down the city. You weren't allowed to leave your house except to go to the neighborhood market, and had to take the deed to your house to prove you lived in that neighborhood. Can't imagine that anyone would feel inconvenienced by that, can you?
