AMERICAblog: Bush/Rumsfeld political hack, Bryan Whitman, behind the latest GOP attack on Obama. Whitman's done that before for the GOP.

I have lost total faith that the truth matters to a single news reader. There are no reporters, they take press handouts and put their name on them or read them verbatim. That is not reporting, reporting requires at list the illusion of digging for the truth. The news readers should actually be called REPEATERS, because that is all they are capable of.
Andrea Mitchell has repeated every lie this administration has pushed out. Same for Tweety, Mathews, Couric (although she doesn't qualify as a repeater or reporter, she is best and introducing fresh new summer recipes on Today), Fox is original cause they take the lies, repeat them and help out by making some more up to support the original lies.

Wolf Blitzer, for me, qualifies as the best REPEATER on any media. The award being an endless loop cassette recording of The Best Lies repeated in the last 8 years.

An unvoiced element (except for voices here and elsewhere online) of this campaign is the eventual judicial resolution of many outstanding issues (and possible punishment of some people) resulting from the Bush maladministration or not...
Senator Obama promised in debates with HRC and John Edwards to rectify Bushian adjustments to the Federal Code (nefarious or other) and Executive branch past practice.
We can all be grateful the Decider hasn't instituted some odd new and Prisoner of Zenda-esque presidential honor corps like Nixon did...Of course, Tricky was more sophisticated than poor moronic Dubya.

I just read the article on HuffPo about McCriminal agreeing with Obama's timetable and it struck me that his inability to remember things from one day to the next has a very simple explanation.
In the past 22 years McCain has had litle spots where he spouted off. In the past year he is quoted every day. This is more work and more mental gymnastics that he has ever had to control. We have quipped about finishing 4th from the bottom at Naval Academy. This qualifies him as a dolt, not a mental giant, limited cerebral capacity, etc., etc. He does not have the retentive memory of an ameoba, that is the problem. He has never had to ever remember anything. He has always made up whatever story suited the occasion and since they were all lies you have to have an excellent memory if you are going down that road of having to recall what you said 300 or 400 lies ago. I don't believe he knows truth from fiction and is totally unencumbered with facts that is why he constantly says he never said what the video shows him saying.

I cant believe the Pentagon would try to make Obama look bad, hahah.

And I got the Porter email today, from someone who I sent Johns article to yesterday!
So, sent them the correction again, sigh.

People will believe any lie as long as it agrees with their own cramped outlook on the world.

    Modern American Mainstream Media Technique:
    Similar to Frankenstein on SNL...

    Tweety, Andrea, et alia...
"What do you think of Obama?"
    OBAMA BAD!
What do you think of McCain?...
    MCCAIN GOOD!

Fits nicely on bumper stickers, sound bytes...it's fine. Perfect for the average American voter!

Anyone with an IQ of 4 can understand this!!!!!

Why is it we can not find a photograph of this ass? I went through four levels and there was nothing. I want to see what a scoundrel looks like in the light of the day. These slimy assbots always hide in the shadows and make the most noise.

Look at that fucking ad at the bottom of the page.

We're twisting, twisting, twisting the truth away...and the dumbed-down American public is the best audience for it.
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Woops, that ad went away...a rightwing video claiming to tell the "truth" about Obama. Idiots.

The politicization of the federal governmental agencies by the Bush/Cheney cabal is well known to most informed citizens so why should anyone be surprised about the Pentagon? Dissenting generals have been purged long ago. All of the federal agencies have been converted into Republican agents.

I find these "t'ain't so! 'Cuz I said so!" statements wearying beyond belief. Nonetheless, a terse, balloon-popping response is necessary. May I suggest something on the order of:

"Senator McCain [or: insert lackey's name here] says that thus-and-such is not true. Well, we have the documentation, if he would like to look at it sometime. As is anyone else."

Bonus zinger: "But I'm afraid it was translated from English to English."

My son came back from Iraq and confirmed the facts for me a long time ago. The GOP and McCain have been back slapping the troops for too long caring nothing for their real safety - there in Iraq and at home, when they require adequate health care for the injuries that they should have never been subjected to in the first place. Shameful.
