AMERICAblog: Bush's VA: Too many troops have PTSD, so stop diagnosing it

  • Ross_Smith · 1 year ago
You should not write, "Yes he did." "He" did nothing. "Yes they did," would be accurate. "His" administration is responsible, therefore Bush is. I despise him as much as anyone. We do not need to exaggerate or mislead (as "they" do) -- the truth is on our side. Let's keep it there.

Heckuva job supporting the troops, Bushie.

The man is a dangerous, delusional criminal. Can't someone declare him non compus mentis and have him committed before he does anything else to destroy America?

bush wants to be the war president? fine.
    here's your legacy.

Adjustment Disorder sounds like more of a personality defect than PTSD, so of course they would go with that. Don't treat them and then try to stigmatize and minimize when they finally diagnose.

Sickening. absolutely sickening. As a SSgt in the USAF I had an airman working for me who had some serious issues. It was obvious to anyone (or should have been) that this young woman did not need to be in the military. Someone must have wanted to fill their quota. anyway, long story short, she was mentally "special". example. She was behaving very promiscuously and using no protection. I had a chat with her about the effects that could have on her and others health. She informed me that she was engaging in this behavior because she wanted to have a baby----so she could name it after a character on the Star Trek series. yeah, she was outta this world.

So I had to complete a request to the mental health clinic at our military hospital to get her evaluated. Usually, what they did back then (and I had seen them do it to several airmen) was diagnose the poor kid as having a BPD (borderline personality disorder) and then discharge them for a failure to adapt to military life. I FOUGHT for this woman to actually get some care before they put her out on her a$$--and it was a tough battle let me tell you.
I knew that was no way she would make it in the military long term. But I ensured that they did not use her to fill a quota and then kick her out when it became clear someone had made a mistake or cheated to get her to sign up for the military.
So, I am not surprised that this type of thing gows on in the Dept. of Vet Affairs. It is just being exposure thanks to the internet and people who are willing to speak out.

Goddess, I LOATHE these stingy, greedy, heartless Republicans. A pox on them all.

Yeah, we can loath the republicans, but you ever really asked yourself why the poor folks in Pennsylvania and West Virginia would rather have 4-more years than vote for an African American?
