Why can't gays and lesbians get married and then have the freedom to conduct extramarital affairs, serve divorce papers to dying spouses, refuse to pay alimony and child support, and then pompously purport to be the voice of morality? It's just so darn unfair . . .

I didn't see the vid, but I read the piece on huffpost. Excellent! Stephanie miller read an excerpt from it on her show yesterday, and then proceeded to humorously tear Newt a new one. It's about time these ignorant reichwingers got a taste of their own medicine, and I'm glad to see that some of the LBGT 'skeletons' in their closets are going public. Chipping away those archaic attitudes frrom various fronts, both from within and through activisim, will fortify efforts to get these backward-assed laws changed and amendments repealed (along with continued activism, of course).

Kudos to KO for having Candace on his show. I don't know much about Candace but from what I saw on his show last night, she's the one I'd like to sit and talk politics with over a beer. She made it easier to understand just what a irrelevant, sad and sorry little man her brother is.

Candy G, was hailed as the great Lesbian Avenger antidote to Newt's toxic leadership back in 1994. Being Newt's sis, albeit half-sister I believe, was her full-time job. She grand marshalled a heap of Pride parades back then & worked her name alot. However I never saw a quality-of-life improvement attributable to her. Why should I expect anything different now that she has returned to the lime light?
