Jeb Bush = Sarah Palin without the sophistication.
  • Gridlock · 11 months ago
    Sarah Palin was sophisticated?
  • Obamalover · 11 months ago
    Naughty
  • Bit NOLA · 11 months ago
    Palin and another Bush.

Keep it up thugs. You'll recapture the world in about 100 years at this rate.

But you'll always have Dixie. Own it. Eat it.
  • beb · 11 months ago
How do you distinguish between a GOP lead by Sarah Palin from one lead by Jeb Bush? I took a pledge a long time ago "No more Bushs -- ever!" I'm sure a lot of other people have to.
  • Older_Wiser · 11 months ago
Never underestimate an unbridled ambitious ignoramus who appeals to a base of the same mindset.

And I thought the Bush name was going down in ignominy...does Jeb really have a chance with that taint?
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 11 months ago
Taint defined as the space between the scrotum and the anus.
  • houstonray · 11 months ago
    LMAO!!!!!
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 11 months ago
And I thought the Bush name was going down in ignominy...does Jeb really have a chance with that taint?

    The whole sentence is priceless!

Sarah Palin is the ultimate Southern Republican wet dream. There is no way she can ever win a national election. She is a celebrity more than anything else.

    Jeb Bush ... ha ha
  • Naked Bunny with a Whip · 11 months ago
Oh, if only it weren't a metaphor.
  • devlzadvocate · 11 months ago
Absolutely. Imagine the likes of hannity and limbaugh exploding a la Mr. Creosote in the Monty Python movie.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 11 months ago
Sarah doofus excites the HUGE (22%) Republican on the basis of raw emotion and ignorance. That describes the Evangelicals to a tee, emotional and ignorant!
  • Jay · 11 months ago
No Saxby, Caribou Barbie makes Republicans IMPLODE!

    HAHA!!!!!!!
  • Bit NOLA · 11 months ago
Unfortunately, Jeb can easily take that seat and sit in it for a long time.

His presidential ambitions crushed, he can move up in power and thug influence over time. And we'll have to listen to him for possibly decades to come on the teevee.

But he's not the gonad that W is. And the very serious people will get behind him. Whether or not he can actually learn to be truly reasonable is debateable. Maybe he can be useful to us all by cementing the thugs to their discredited roots of mo' military, mo' corporate welfare, and mo' dicking people when they're down.

(Lots of Floridian skeletons behind that boy, too, which haven't been exposed to national scrutiny).
  • beachboi · 11 months ago
Not only do Democrats have to fix the mess George Bush handed us, and forge ahead on a progressive agenda, but we must educate the populace on the dangers of religious wingnut conservatism espoused by Sarah Palin. Among our top priorities is to sear into the mind of every Democrat, Independent, and moderate Republican in this great nation, the absurdity that Sarah Palin truly is. We must spread the truth and let it do lasting, permanent damage to her reputation.

Will the Republican Party go the way of the Whig Party? Film at Eleven...

Yeah -- she's the queen of Klan Country. Once you get beyond the white sheets, she doesn't have much appeal.

Palin makes Republicans "explode" ...with their collective stupidity.
  • Sage24 · 11 months ago
Electing Chamblis makes the people of Georgia look intellectually challenged. If they thought the man who made the most despicable ad, against a true patriot, to win an election, is the man for them, then they truly deserve each other. The fact that republicans think Palin is God's gift to them, really shows what their standards are.
  • sisterfaith · 11 months ago
This Chambliss campaign was as nasty as you would expect.
Multiple mailings by multiple rightwing nut groups.....including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce...all filled with lies, lies, lies....

Chambliss is an idiot .....everytime he opens his mouth he confirms it.

It is sometimes scary to live among these people!!!
  • devlzadvocate · 11 months ago
Thus her likeness has shown up in so many porn flicks - all those republicans are exploding. Eww.

BTW, did I miss something or has the President-elect not selected a Fox News correspondent for questions in any news conference????
  • whoissecretdubai · 11 months ago
    Hello,

    A humble request...

Do you, by any chance, happen to know who Secret Dubai (the blogger: secretdubai.blogspot.com) is?

Ooooh, such TURMOIL! I LOVE IT!
  • Older_Wiser · 11 months ago
Look, we can sit here, educated, knowledgeable and sometimes frustrated voters, but if you think the entire base of the Democratic Party is the same way, you're sadly mistaken. Many people call themselves "Democrats" who see elections as a popularity contest or are easily persuaded by the political rhetoric of another party, and not all Democrats are forward leaning. We have our lemmings, too, and those who want to stay comfortable. Who knows how many Rethugs, Independents, and voters of various rightwing stripes belong in that category as well. Too many people these days vote for "stardom" and little else. Americans will go for celebrity every time. And yes, Obama (even with all his virtues) was a celebrity. What if the Democratic Party had not had Obama, would Clinton have won over McBush?

The Dems have lost a number of elections by underestimating the other side who play bare-knuckled politics. Progressive people can't afford to let this moment in time pass--we need to try to start winning over those who consistently vote against their own interests. We also cannot relent in pushing our elected officials to work in our interests, not just for what is convenient. Complacency is an awful thing.

So, I repeat: never underestimate an unbridled ambitious ignoramus--the political landscape is littered with them, put in by those kinds of voters of every political stripe. Even those who don't know what that stripe actually is.
  • Bush_Bites · 11 months ago
And, as Georgia demonstrated, Obama got a lot of voters who may be Democrats, but would sit on their hands if he wasn't on the ticket.

Those are the same losers who let Kerry down in 2004 and Gore in 2000.
  • Older_Wiser · 11 months ago
And the many Dems of every race who voted for Prop 8 as well.
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
Which kind of begs the question of why Obama didn't do more to help Chambliss lose. I've seen some arguments elsewhere, but this was an important Congressional tie-breaker to help him get his policies passed.
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
A voice in my head just screamed "Leiberman"!
  • Charles2 · 11 months ago
    Chambliss is a pig.

    Palin?

    The lipstick, of course!
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
    Hah!
  • triple7s · 11 months ago
    Good one.
  • Bush_Bites · 11 months ago
Yeah, I knew when Martinez announced he wasn't running, the day after Jeb did an interview with that Wingnut Website, that something was up.
  • Freday63 · 11 months ago
"Chambliss heaped praise on Palin, saying she has a “great future” in the GOP."

He is freaking retarded! Once again the Great State of Georgia on the wrong side of history...
  • Nylund · 11 months ago
I for one, am all for Palin being the GOP leader of the future. I do not fear her. Her followers and fans scare me a bit with their rapid craziness, but I don't see much chance at Palin winning over a majority of Americans. She's absolutely idolized and cherished by the 28% deadender crowd desperate for a Christian Ayatollah to lead them towards an evangelical theocracy, but her appeal beyond that is quite limited.
  • grandpajohn · 11 months ago
Palin as the head of the repubs? Jeb to be the alternative?
There is a god and he does answer democrats prayers.
  • james k. sayre · 11 months ago
Actually, Sarah Palin makes turkeys, wolves and moose explode when she kills them. She is a great cheerleader for the right-wing idiots, who are still clueless after eight years of Bush Republican fascism... Funny, Sarah Palin has been avoiding returning to Alaska for many weeks now. Is she afraid of having to do some actually 8-5 work as Governor?
  • SouthernYankee · 11 months ago
OMG what WMDs didn't do to this country the Bush/Palin would really put a finish to this country. Neither one seemed intelligent enough to help this country. We have already had 2 Bushes don't you think that is enough cruelty on the american people for a generation to come. Hell Jeb couldn't even take care of his own family and neither can Palin what could these two idiots do for america? Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and shame of me. no way, no how no bush no palin. What a scarey thought.
  • Wesinoregon · 11 months ago
Doesn't that "showboat" have another job? Like Gov of Alaska? OH yes, she hasn't stepped foot in the capital city for months. What the moron GOP doesn't get is that she would not be tending the store if she had a DC job either. She's treated as entertainment ONLY. People don't know the difference between being entertained or being served by their elected leaders.
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
And that's her problem in Alaska. From what I've been reading lately, her cache is down and she's hoping to get creds by being a Senator as a jumping spot to the Presidency. As you say, she's so unaware of being an idiot and entertainment fodder to realize she's not really all the popular outside her small pond. She's just a perky little cheerleader (like Georgie) -- but unlike "Heroes', to save her would destroy the world.
  • larry · 11 months ago
Palin electrifies the evangelicals...that she does do...however Chambliss won because of the simple truth about the deep south...racist and bigotry has not declined in the region since the 60s. If anything the likes of Helms, Chambliss, Lott etc and the past 8 years of Bush have simply licensed the outward return and legitimizing of the racism and bigotry in the region. Obama got the white folks out...Palin is just that crowds St. Jean d'Arc.
The good news in all this is that Saxby will along with Sanford in SC, gov of Texas, and Palin will be the face and leadership of the GOP for the foreseeable future. That is good news for Democrats because it will frame the GOP as a regional party whose ideology is bigotry, racism whether political or theological. As for Palin we should let the woman do her thing and thank her for doing so.....she continues to be our best asset. Seriously. She and Saxby and the crowd will assure a government run by Democrats and Independents for decades to come.
  • jcgraham77 · 11 months ago
Well I am pretty sure he is referring to that little republican member in all the male republicans pants when he refers to exploding. The few non-closet cases left that is.
  • jprfrog · 11 months ago
If Obama can set the economy on the right path (it will take at least a couple of years to do this) then I will be able enjoy Jeb Bush and Sarah Palin duking it out to lead(?!) the GOP. Like Mothra and Godzilla but without the brains.

Mayve we should affer asylum to all the sane people left in Rush-land and let the rest go make their own country. We wouldn't have subsidize them with our blue-state tax dollars or listen to their bloviating anus-orificators in the Congress. They could have Lou Dobbs and Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter, not to mention Dobson and the LImbaughger-cheese himself (we could get some side profit by selling painkillers at US prices) etc. It would be a 4th-world country in about 15 years and we could get the IMF to put it in hock for the next 200 years. Like a Heinlein story (I forgot which one) we could ship all our hard-core criminal cases there to run free (guns available at your local bodega) and let them kill each other off.
  • Indigo · 11 months ago
We have seen the future and she is stupid.
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
She and Georgia--a redundancy if ever there was one.
  • houstonray · 11 months ago
She probably thought it was the same "Georgia" that's near that other country she can see from her window...
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
You know, that's waaaaay tooo true! Sad and utterly hilarious at the same time -- thank God my tears mask my emotions.
  • woodroad34 · 11 months ago
Not likin' Jebbie, but I see George Bush in every aspect of Sarah Palin. Apparently the "conservative" public likes the "dumb-down" candidates--someone they can kill a moose with and whose children are rednecks and baby-mommas; so Jeb Bush hasn't got a chance. Oh, and do I have to mention the typical GOP sexual innuendo of the "she walks in a room, folks just explode"...put it in' your pants Chambliss.
  • houstonray · 11 months ago
When I hear her voice on tv, MY head explodes....
  • reflux1000 · 11 months ago
I just bet the old white male Republicans "exploded" over Palin.
  • ron071 · 11 months ago
Chambliss and Palin are the choices of Georgia voters. This says it all you need to know about the majority of the voters in Georgia. It seems rather hopeless to expect any intelligent outcome here .
  • ron071 · 11 months ago
Georgia voters best explain how we got George W. Bush twice. They simply cannot learn anything from their experience and are victims of their prejudices. Now they have proven their ignorance once again
  • brilliantatbreakfast · 11 months ago
Ew. Just "ew." The splooge imagery that Republican males use to describe her effect on them is truly revolting.
  • Ingmar53 · 11 months ago
<<Palin makes Republicans "explode">> But in the longer term I think that should read "implode." She may set old white guys all atwitter and allow uneducated whitetrash to think "geez, anyone can be president," but the GOP is more deluded than I thought if they think she will lead them from the woods.
