AMERICAblog: Check out Norm Coleman's new ad starring his wife, who may or may not really be there

Looked like a green screen job to me. What a freakin' joke. I hope Al walks over and kisses Frannie in his response ad.

Wow, looks like she was there... still something to be said for the fact everyone _thought_ she wasn't there - what an oddly cold and screwed up commerical.

I mean she could of at least gave him a pat on the back, poured him a cup of coffee, or given him a good old "terrorist fist jab" or something ;-P.

Heh. Apt tagline. "Bringing People Together."

somebody could have fun with McCain's green-screen speech too. you could have cindy getting her face sanded or popping pills in the background.

Are all republican politicians incapable of understanding that we can see them behind the curtain?

Laurie Coleman's another beard like Dennis Hastert's wife Jean Kahl

The staging is a bit odd, but I couldn't see what you were getting at. to me, the strangest thing is the CU of the coffee cup.
It's also not uncommon for political families to live apart. I pretty much figure they would/should.
That said, Coleman and his mangy wife are bad for this country.

The wife is in California, in front of a green screen; Norm, who wouldn't know how to take out the garbage if his life depended on it, is in a kitchen in Minnesota. A fake ad for a fake marriage between two fake people.

Speaking as an artist who is very familiar with perspective, the spouse is clearly not in the same room with the candidate. You would think the video editors could be more skilled than that at calculating sizes and proportions for faking the scene.

    Fake!

Maybe the purpose of the coffee cup closeup is to emphasize the wedding ring. I can't imagine what other reason there might be to zoom in on her hands.
It's a sappy, corny ad even if they were actually a cozy, kissy couple.

She appears to be 11 feet tall. Maybe she is a Sasquatch.

And I thought two people having a relationship through Second Life was weird....
