Read it and you'll be amazed at what a piece of work it is. It's big-brother in a box -- and worse.

Amazing, even pink colored pig pictures don't go through because of skin tone. Wonder if this would cause writers to create a "fix" to over ride it as usually happens.

Filter, - hell no. Internet is public place and there shouln't be any pornography, the same way it is in parks, schools etc. Funny thing is a internet providers in US searching people's files they send or receive without court warrant.. Isn't it a censorship too?

It's much, much more than just a filter. With Green Dam, if you type certain phrases into Notepad or other word-processor, such as Falun Gong, the application you are writing into shuts down immediately. It is both a filter and a censor. In addition to that, it reports to the government which sites you go to, and if you write anything (even on your local machine, not the internet) that the government considers 'bad'.
It's like having an agent of the government standing over your shoulder watching you use your computer, even when you are NOT on the internet.

Wow. Thanks for sharing more details.
Congress wants to give the President of the United States the power to shut down the internet in case of a cyber attack. That's scary.
