I'm beginning to wonder if Shays panicked and threw in the towel too early. He's only down 8,000 votes and two small towns Weston and Wilton(about 10,000vtes each) should go for Shays 65% to 35% haven't reported.
Bridgeportand Stamford still have to report about 8% of precincts which should go against him 65-35. Might be very close.
I know nothing of Chris Shay's actions before the Bush administration, but I would say since that time, he's proven himself to be nothing better than just another Bush/Cheney lackey, and I say good riddance to him. I'm just sorry Michele Bachmann wasn't booted by the people of Minnesota--she is an execrable specimen.

His district is one of the strangest in the country. Bridgeport is a hellhole, and Stamford isn't too much better. They are the cities in his district and the residents in most elections have very low turnout. The rest of the towns are made up of Wall St execs and hedge fund managers. That's how he kept getting re-elected.
Because of Obama, the people from Bridgeport showed up to vote.

Chris was actually a decent guy who was blackmailed into being a bush lackey and threatened by DeLay most of the time. He was old school GOP moderate before this Junta took over
