AMERICAblog: Cindy McCain knows John McCain would never have an affair. Really. (Not counting the affair Cindy had when John was married)

    To quote Dr. Phil:

"If he'll do it WITH ya, he'll do it TO ya!"

As he often advises women having affairs with married men who are contemplating marrying their lovers.

that's why 3-somes are your best bet.
  • jiminportlandoregon · 1 year ago
Absolutely! Ann Landers used to say "if he will cheat with you, he will cheat on you." Of course, some people are so f**king stupid, they never think it will happen to them. I don't care who he screws, but I do think he put the election in terrible jeopardy for 2008. What IF he had won the nomination and this came out in late October?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
I was a John Edward's delegate and THANK GOD he removed himself when he did. I'm beginning to think this is what made him decide to quit when he did and THANK GOD he did. Edwards needs to just go away now. He needs to go away and decide what is important and maybe... MAYBE he might still have a career SOMEWHERE.
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
Wolf Blitzer, in vintage buffoon mode, just asked what impact, if any, will John Edwards' affair will have on Barack Obama. Huh? Let's review, Wolf: It's the GOP nominee, John McCain, who has the history of having extra-marital affairs.
    ---

Well, it won't affect Obama... it might affect Edwards' carreer though.

    although, I've got a suggestion!!

Edwards could change parties! bear with me here...

I mean, his wife has medical problems... he could just wait until she's in the hospital and leave her (newt gingrich anyone?) for a lobbyist or a rodeo queen (mcsame anyone?).

then switch parties to Repugnican and the MSM will laud his decision making capabilities!!

hell, maybe they'll even tag him as a Maverick... nah, that's taken isn't it?
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Blitzer is an idiot! The question should never have been asked about this revelation possibly having an affect on Obama. How much does that guy get paid?
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
Do you mean: by CNN or AIPAC?
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Answer: He gets paid plenty to try to initiate RED HERRINGS for any idiot not to ask what motivates him. Blitzer is a proud member of the Corporate Pravda Press.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
blackwolf: Please do recognize who puts the questions in Blitzer's mouth. He says what he is told to say if he wants to keep his job. That's not to excuse the idiotic and misleading question, but to understand from whence it comes.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
In full agreement with you there. It's just that it never ceases to amaze me. News reporting is dead.
It's all a bunch of talking heads shootin' the breeze with other talking heads.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
blackwolf: All joking aside, this is a very serious matter that a free
society is not getting real news. ron

Again, I'm in full agreement. I'm all for reporting about the things that matter. What I'm
against is the air time the media play up to on trivial things.

The media knows the Republicans have put out silly and meaningless ads, and no one
has stepped up to the plate to challenge the conservative party for doing it.

They simply debate nonstop, "Are the negative ads working?" There's no incentive for
the neocons to play it straight and talk about the issues.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
blackwolf: How correct you are. A dumbed-down electorate will not even
realize what dumbed-down news they are getting and that is how democracies are
    lost.

Ron071: Somewhere in a dark room, private discussions about the American
people are taking place. There are brilliant people in these rooms who
understand human psychology beyond what most people would imagine.

They understand every matrix imaginable about what we'll believe and how
we'll react--to anything and everything. The Republicans, more than any
other party know how to use this information to their advantage.

The only comforting thought is that this country is slowly awakening from a
deep sleep. Obama's run for office is perhaps the most obvious proof of that.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
blackwolf: If your thesis is correct then the characteristic in question is
sheer stupidity. Where have all these Americans been for the past 8 years?
    Asleep=stupidity.

  • ron071 · 1 year ago
blackwolf: The key to this is to expose these journalistic frauds for what
they are when they shill for the right wingers of the Republican base.
Expose them by moving the rock beneath which they hide. Ron

John, huh? is right. obama is a committed faithful family man and there is no indication that he has conducted himself any other way.
John Edwards had stumbled but, he is human and was going through some emotional deal.
Neither has to do with the other except they are democrats who ran for the same office this year.

Time for someone to ask John Sydney about Cindy's statement, his personal history with Carol, their marriage and divorce dates, and when he started messing around with Cindy...the heiress.

Oh yeah...and then ask about the viagra/birth control issue...just to get him riled up.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
BKMM: There's a whole lot of big time news on John McCain and little Cindy. Main stream media is
    afraid of the old man.

Let's piss him off and get him all worked up.

"More importantly, my children and I not only trust my husband, but know that he would never do anything to not only disappoint our family, but disappoint the people of America. He's a man of great character."

Just to make sure I get this straight, the moral of the story is that if you lie, even by default, and have a family eager to live in denial, you have character. On the other hand, if you recognize your error, admit the error to your wife, and work on rebuilding the relationship after owning up to the damage you become damaged goods with poor character and must immediately end your public, political career.

Got it. I also need to get the hell outta here. Like Obama I prefer to admit the truth that America's going downhill. (Got hope, lost it, need to go find more again...)
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
This is a VERY important issue. By the way, I love the "Wolf Blitzer, in vintage buffoon mode," perfect! The media can not be left to its own devices and be able to smear Obama with the Edwards news. This issue, if played correctly, by the Democrats and Obama should be something Obama should benefit from, and not hurt him. It is well known McCain and Cindy CHEATED on his sick wife. The media are trying to pull a Red Herring.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_herring_(plot_...)

The media is MADLY trying to spin this as a "Democratic" or "Obama" problem when its ACTUALLY a problem for ANYONE who has been caught cheating or philandering. This is VERY INCONVENIENT for McCain and he already suffers with his base because of his divorce. Obama, on the other hand, is a stand up family man and has only had ONE MARRIAGE and has not run around on his sick wife, like McCain.

Again, Democrats need to get their "Where is Vicki Iseman?!!?" posters ready for the Democratic convention. Don't let the foolish newsreaders try to make this a Democratic issue because its not! Besides, John Edwards isn't our nominee but McCain is THEIR nominee so he is FAIR GAME on this issue. Lets go ahead and examine Obama's marriage, as long as we get to examine the McCain marriage, how they met and how John McCain CHEATED on his sick wife.

The McChristian's Values menu allows Cindy to order whatever she wants without the slightest tinge of guilt. The religious right feels the McCains represent them. Whether it is John and Cindy or John and Vicki, McChristians don't care as long as their Mcvote goes for God's Own Party. Republican adultery is hot and makes Jesus look cool.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
Hee, hee...Wolfe was again this afternoon striving for new heights of lunacy and guilt by association abetted by a sputtering and bug-eyed Paul Begala.
The funny Rethuglican Alex Castalanos even wished aloud that since this "broke" as the Olympics opened the Edwards story would be "a hot topic" for the next two weeks.
"We can only imagine, " Wolf oozed, "what would be happening today, 8-8-08, if Edwards was the Democratic nominee" leaving many viewers wondering what in the hell Wolf had smoked before airtime or what incantations he favors?
Can we expect Jeanee Moos to do a 2 minute package literally imagining what would have happened?
Foreigner Dr. Sanjay Gupta on presidential love babies???
Richard Quest on favorite naughty body openings of the famous and powerful?
All from the most rusted name in nooooz....

Didn't John Sydney McCain have a cheap, tawdry, home-wrecking sexual tryst that resulted in destruction of his first marriage and family? Since he's been guilty of sins-of-the-flesh at least once, it is highly probable that he has acted out many times in just the past few years.
Why won't Grampa McSame answer the question: "Have you or have you not ever cheated on your second wife?" He can't.

    Because he has.

i like everyone here i really do..i was a hard core conservative for a long time and i really really honestly think obama is the best choice ..but its times like this that i lose my understand of you guys here....all of you were very eager to talk about newt and his cancer stricken wife....but no one seems to think edwards was just as awful
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
think obama is the best choice

You are wrong. We saw it before with Clinton. Being a moderate means that Obama is happy throw anyone under the bus to win, sell out the people as long as he can. Bill Clinton was supposedly the best friend the gays and Blacks had, but in reality he sold them out whenever the going got rough. I see the same thing in Obama. Obama like Clinton is only better than the Republican they opposed because they were supposed to be our friends whereas the Republicans made it clear that they were never our friends. Clinton and Obama are better choices only because there is a limit to how far they can sell us out.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
gogreen: Why are the affairs of Newt or Edwards relevant to THIS presidential campaign? Do we require a review of all the adulteries of politicians over the past x years? What about the McCain adultery records including the missing Vickie Iseman? Candidates and not all politicians should be fair game.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Thanks for changing sides GoGreen: The point here, is that everyone is aware that the main stream media is not talking about John McCain, or Newt, like they are Edwards. You'd have to admint that
the whole subject should default to all of the candiates as a whole.

Edwards make a mistake, Clinton made a mistake, and the media is all over it. Being an ex-republican,
I would think you'd be aware of the imbalance in reporting.
  • daryljfontaine · 1 year ago
Joe, that link to the Mike Stark diary is from June 14th, not today. I wish it were today, that would make it substantially more relevant and potentially damaging.

As for Edwards, I'm disappointed that he chose to run for President with something this damaging on his account; the rest of it is between him and his family.

Why does the press allow McSame to simply not answer relevant questions? Are they afraid he will blow up in a rage if they repeat the question for his answer?
  • mirth · 1 year ago
Simple answer: They have their orders.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
mirth, This is a most serious matter when factual news is not available to
the public in a free society. The consolidation of big media by the Murdocks
is what has destroyed the free press in our country. The same pattern has
been allowed to develop with business which has been consolidated and then
exported our jobs to low wage areas. The very core of our country has been
stolen by the robber barrons of 2000-2008. ron

The loss of an independent media is the greatest blow this country has suffered. None of the Bush/Cheney crimes would have been possible without it. For a long time, news has been dumbed-down infotainment delivered by dummy blowdries sandwiched between commercials, but the coup d'etat of 2000 solidified this necessary and final action of overthrow.

Without Obama, if they are able to sabotage his election, the Internet is next...
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
mirth: You could not be more correct. It is impossible to overstate what
the loss of a free press has meant to our democracy. How many people are
aware of what has happened is a vital question? The results of our upcoming
election will tell us how much has been lost.
