AMERICAblog: Cindy McCain wore a $300,000 outfit to the convention

  • luvboxer · 1 year ago
Boy it must be nice. I can't imagine paying that kind of money for clothes..Tell me again who the republicans are for....not the poor or middle class.

  • BLOGGING BITCH! · 1 year ago
Bristol seems to be slimming down.....

What happens if Bristol really isn't pregnant and is actually in the process of trying to lose the baby fat from her last pregnancy.......only to go on and say that Liberal Bloggers caused her to lose her baby that never existed?

    Better start asking questions now.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
I know we're not supposed to talk about it, but I predict the facts will reveal that Trig is Bristol's child. There is just too much weirdness in that whole story.

And the very pertinent thing about that would be how it reflects on Sarah Palin as the GOPer vice presidential nominee.
  • alaskan · 1 year ago
Notice that the real mother was the one who did not get to hold the baby last night. If I had given birth to that child and my mother was playing pass the baby like that in public, I would eventually explode and rat her out. Talk about using and abusing children.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I thought she looked thinner tonight than at the press conference this moring. Wonder what the diet is?
  • luvboxer · 1 year ago
I am really afraid for our country...I cannot stand this. These people are evil and care about nothing but themselves.

PLEASE WE MUST GET BARACK/BIDEN IN OFFICE OUR COUNTRY CANNOT TAKE FOUR MORE YEARS OF THIS CRAP...
  • megcho · 1 year ago
My thoughts exactly. I'm really starting to get scared! I'm appalled that there are so many people in this country that don't see through the hypocrisy, including my aunt who i went round and round with the other night. It was so typical....the couple "facts"she tried to inject were not fact at all, and the rest were just insults.....kind of like..."i know you are, but what am I" stuff....very juvenile. It's left me sad and scared for my aunt and my country :(
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
what! are you saying Mrs. McCain can't relate to all the hockey moms out there?
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Gosh, with 5 kids, Sarah Palin as VP might not have enough time to spend teaching her kids good moral values. Why, she might even have a kid come home and tell her she's pregnant...

    Oh... oh, yeah.... never mind!
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
And you know that she'll never wear the dress twice...amazing...most of us will never even be able to amass that dollar amount in a lifetime....shameful. This is the Republican party: "Let them eat cake."
  • Liza · 1 year ago
This is another addition of "if this had been Michelle Obama....."

    What an elitist barbie doll.

Now you know why the Baroness of Budweiser made POW hero John McCain sign a prenup!
  • kiki · 1 year ago
Cindy McCain wore a $300,000 outfit to the convention and John wears, $500.00 a pair shoes and they call Obama the elitist. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
And just THINK, they really haven't even begun to look into the wacky crap her husband has done yet!

How many poor kids in Phoenix would that have fed?

Did you see her hanging on to Palin's baby during Guliani's speech? Without a burping towel? With expensive clothing on? Reckless indeed.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
    hahahaha
it was priceless. she did play her part well. smile pretty and clap/laugh in all the right places. very Stepford.
  • grandma · 1 year ago
Wow..for all that money she sure looked out of place in the outfit....for a potential first lady.

An aging bleached out barbie doll....hair hanging in her eyes....
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
    Dear sweet Gehosaphat!!!
For freakin $300K she gets to look like gold-plated Mrs. Tinman?
Golly, if she only had a heart...
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
    Heh heh, well said!
  • Stevious · 1 year ago
You would think for that kind of money, she could find a color and neckline that looked a little more like 2008, and not 1968.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
Flying Nun inspired piece of crap.
  • jmcmilli · 1 year ago
    unbelievable.

Seems like the GOP has kept Cindy McCain locked up, and it's smart of them to. She's the embodiement of everything rotten about the Republican party - rich, entitled, a spoiled Paris Hilton of a girl who uses her power to feed her drug addiction and steal from children. And then when she's found out, she fires the whistleblower.

If more knew about her, and McCain's adulterous courtship of her, the Republicans would be done. Seriously, the ice queen needs as much exposure as possible.
  • Rob Mule · 1 year ago
I estimate the total Palin wardrobe (Mr, Mrs, kiddies and boyfriend) cost about $300 give or take depending on Target or WalMart.
  • OlderButWiser · 1 year ago
Bristol Palin is surefire proof that "abstinence only education" doesn't work...and there are 2 other daughters behind her...stay tuned. Hey, whatever happened to the "wait until marriage" meme the fundies have been preaching, anyway? I guess it's different for some of them...

That dress is almost as much as I paid for my house

So Sarah reads a speech for which she didn't provide one word of her own and now the corporate whores on cable news are gushing about the magnificent oratorical triumph of the candy bar queen.
  • BigSchwanz · 1 year ago
Wow! Maybe the next time we see Joe Biden with a $200 necktie we'll throw up our hands and say Hallelujah, now we're getting even with the bastards
  • caphillprof · 1 year ago
I would be surprised if Biden wore $200 neckties. Perhaps, but I rather doubt it.
  • Gorgonzola · 1 year ago
Jesse Jackson makes one slip into an open mic and its headline news for two weeks. Meantime, two top GOP honchos totally trash Sarah Candy Bar and the media conceal it like it was formula for processing yellow cake.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
    REALLY good point!
  • EmGD · 1 year ago
C'mon, most of that was the earrings. The rest of the ensemble could only pay for a year of college, not a house.

    Barack Obama is the elitist.

Think of crying mothers whose kids were killed by drunk drivers in Arizona. Think of how Cindy lobbied hard against MADD. Now see the blood and tears on those diamonds and that dress.
  • tas · 1 year ago
I just want to know who picks the colors for her clothes? Lime green last night, now a gold plated tin woman. Who tells her she looks good in this crap?
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
obviously her stylist isn't gay. or maybe he is and is getting back at her for the new republican platform that bashes teh geys

change cindy's hair... add a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of Stoli in the other.

    *POOF!*

you've got Patsy from Ab Fab.
  • canuck55 · 1 year ago
Yes! Sweety darling! Although a bottle of Veuve might be more appropriate. After all, her speech was just about "Cheers, thanks a lot".
Oh crap, don't tell John, but Patsy was a man for about a year until it fell off, didn't it?
  • bunnyjump · 1 year ago
    GAAAHHAAAHAAAA! ROFL!!!!
  • prochoicelib · 1 year ago
That's it! I knew she reminded me of someone!
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
ha! Patsy from Ab Fab accompanied by Tina Fey Palin
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
Holy crap! That hideous gold dress with the neck levees cost $3000???
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
It looked to me like she put on a maternity dress bacjwards---in keeping with the evening's theme of reproduction madness.
  • ggjayson · 1 year ago
Please tell me that with all that is going on in the world that you have something better to discuss than what someone is wearing. I generally do not post but this is pretty pathetic.
  • houstonray · 1 year ago
It goes to the whole notion that they try to paint Obama as an "elitist" because he eats Arugula or whatever dumb talking point they want to use this week. It goes to show how out of touch they are with what's going on in the rest of the country. To McCain and most of the other Republicans, everything is going great with the economy. So she parades out in a $300,000 ensemble and we're supposed to say they are just like us? Not hardly...
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
if this is so pathetic a topic, why come out of lurking to post such a petty comment?
  • ggjayson · 1 year ago
Because I can't always let the animals run the circus.
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
    god you are a lameass.
  • Steve_in_CNJ · 1 year ago
in keeping with the theme of the 3rd night, 'prosperity', cindy spent enough on her outfit to feed the homeless in minnesota for a year. laura put on her $2500 'virginity' outfit and later admitted she misread the memo.
  • burro · 1 year ago
Yes, but she has a good Republican cloth coat at home. The dog is laying on it.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
She paid too much for what she got! She was robbed!
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Let's see, at my current income rate it would take how many years to earn $300,000. Damn! that is depressing, she wore a dress for a few hours that would take years (and years) of my income to pay for a similar one (that is IF I liked the style and color)
  • ShirleyGoodnessanMercy · 1 year ago
Was it at least a Michael Kors dress?

Cindy McCain spent $750,000 on her credit cards one month recently, so this is no big surprise. I wonder which of her 10 or 11 homes she got dressed in?
  • prochoicelib · 1 year ago
All that money and no "faahhhbulous"? I would have soaked that kind of dough into plastic surgery.

The Donna Reed look will be back in style if McCain and Cindy get into the White House?
  • hailtothethief · 1 year ago
The reason these people don't know or care about the role of community organizers is that they all live in millionaire neighborhoods. The democrats should be ripping them apart for their elitism. They're doing a nice job of pointing it out how rich they are, but democrats should continue to note that the GOP is the party of the ultra-rich.
  • Milli · 1 year ago
I liked Hillary's orange pantsuit better than that dress.........
  • Smarmy · 1 year ago
Lord God Almighty. Has that woman no shame? This is sooo republican of her.
  • Bostonian_Queer_in_Dallas · 1 year ago
Well Ms Thang got really ripped off...that hooker gold lamme looked like something from the red light district in East Oshkosh Bumfuck Alaska.

Ms Rodeo Queen needs some better designers around her. And silver haired women should NEVER wear gold.
  • Kansaskitty · 1 year ago
    Aaaack!

You're kidding? That color is what here in Kansas we call "baby calf poop" yellow. Who in their right mind would pay that kind of money for a rag like that?
  • caphillprof · 1 year ago
For some reason all I can think of is a friend who, 20 years ago, before heading out to the DC Eagle, looked into a mirror and remarked that he was wearing $1,000--boots, designer t, designer jeans, a gold chain and a pricey cologne
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
was his name Michael by chance?

I know someone that sounds EXACTLY like that... he owns Versace FLIP-FLOPS!
  • cromulent · 1 year ago
Good lord. Laura Bush in a cheap suit, *and* wearing white after Labor Day to boot? Why is no one commenting on *that*?
  • kirkaracha · 1 year ago
It must be hard to remember which house she keeps her fancy dresses in. Maybe she just buys 10 of everything so she's covered.
  • Bcre8ve · 1 year ago
I want to know how much that diamond USMC/Navy pin she's been wearing (and is wearing here) cost. That's got to add a few more thousand to that total.

And it seems that some of the women in the family box seem to have been gifted with similar pins.

Must be nice to be rich!

Who's the elitist celebrity now, Cindy?
  • nuneutralobserver2008 · 1 year ago
What's your point? She's rich. Everybody knows it.

So is Obama. (In fact, when Obama got elected to US Senate, the board she was on raised her salary from $100k+ to $300k+.)

And how is Michelle earning it? By keeping the poor away from the hospital.

how much is john mccain paying you, troll?
  • phearpubs · 1 year ago
Uhm, did you actually READ the article that you are quoting? Nah, I bet you didn't. Reading and abstract thought are just soooo hard. Its much easier to hate people who are not narrow minded like you are, NeuteredDerider2008. The article pointed out that U of Chicago found it was able to provide both BETTER and CHEAPER care by providing non-emergent care outside of the Emergency Department.

I'm sick of you and your Republicans. I'm sick of your Radical Right Wing Nut jobs screaching that its ok that Ms. McCain can wear earrings that are worth more than 7 years of my salary while deriding everyone else as being elitist.

So go back to your Hypocracy, your Rants and your Hatred. Your fear mongering no longer affects me, and it no longer affects Americans.
  • ambeeeant · 1 year ago
Just an idea. Maybe Cindy could give Sarah McPalin her "over the top" dress so she can sell it on ebay.
  • culitoderana · 1 year ago
Why do you care? It's not like she's asked you to pay for it? The chick's worth over 100 million...
