Great description Busboy. I used to like Hillary but now I will almost certainly burst into "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" when she finally withdraws from the race.

Let's hope it's not offered to Monica Lewinsky! LOL

    BREAKING>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
MSNBC projects Obama has crossed the delegate count to become the presumptive Democratic nominee.

And if its offered to Sebelius or Klobuchar then what?
  • LunaStick · 1 year ago
Don't offer it to another woman? So much for hill's campaign being a forward step for femminism.
  • mmedefarge · 1 year ago
That threat didn't work very well with Bill.

I rate this comment wicked good.

Shirley--Don't wait 'til Clinton withdraws. Tonight is the night to sing. She has only the power we choose to give her. Cheers.

This is so cool. Now we don't have to support someone who voted for the war. If it would have been Clinton, then that would have been like saying that bush was right all along because both Clinton and McCain supported the war and the giggling murderer's policies.
  • Andrew A. Gill · 1 year ago
Hillary's behavior doesn't make sense. The only way that I can explain it is if she's planning to pull a George Wallace, but I don't think she's that stupid.
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Hillary wants the VP job. Barack can get it done without her. She's lost the race and still trying to broker deals.
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
We just posted the video of Fineman saying this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4j629O3uQs

If true this speaks volumes about how much Hillary cares about women. Offer me the VP slot, which I will not accept and do not select another woman.

i think what this means is that Clinton wants to be McCain's VP and McCain does not want to be another woman as the dem VP. Sebellius or McCaskill?

If Hillary follows the thought of Harriet Christian, Clinton would prefer to be VP of the winner, namely, McCain.
  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Change demands the likes of Clinton get disregarded for VP.
  • KarenMrsLloydRichards · 1 year ago
If Howie's source is reliable, then it would mean that anyone else would ipso facto be Obama's #2 choice. Even Pat Buchanan opined that this would be bad for Obama. If true, it's yet more nasty gamesmanship from HRC's campaign...even a wounded, dying animal can be lethal!
  • JamesR · 1 year ago
Why would her "friends" or "insiders" release this information which reflects oh so poorly upon her either way you read it?

And why would anyone think Obama would ever consider making an oral agreement with her, ever, after what she did in Michigan??

Very puzzling. And dramatic, in more of a Jerry Springer way than a Masterpiece Theater way. She'd be a coyote running mate!
  • queerunity · 1 year ago
after all her obama bashing she expects this position?

    She's like Wayne's ex-girlfriend in Wayne's World.

Stacy: You don't like it? Fine. You know Wayne, if you're not careful, you're going to lose me.
Wayne Campbell: I lost you 2 months ago. We broke up. Are you mental?
  • jondavwal · 1 year ago
I'd kill her myself if she were anywhere near me. She's a subhuman enormous piece of turd. He'll ignore her and maybe she'll die of a stroke.

jondavwal...thanks for your comment. Ive forwarded it to the Secret Service

Russert says she wants it, so does Brokaw. I'd rather gargle asbestos than have that viper on my ticket.

This is exactly why i have been advocating in the blogs for a month for Obama to take the best person available: Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas. This person is an Obama-class leader in a skirt. She has executed a long successful, honest and brilliant political resume, and completely looks the part of a professional serious but family-compassionate woman executive. In other words, when one excludes name recognition, she is everything in a person and a politician that Hillary is not. She is a REAL heroine for women to follow. And I have been saying over and over that the fastest and best way to get the nuisance of Hillary off the stage is to pick Sebelius as early as possible.

Kathleen Sebelius was excellent talking to Hal Sparks on the radio yesterday. She knows all the issues and is a true fighter

Now, HRC said she needs people to go to her website and help her decide what to do now. If you notice, her site will have a pop up with a statement of support so it seems she will claim "x" number of people support her.

    BUT, you can go to:

    http://hillaryclinton.com/help/contact/

and select "suggestion" and PLEASE BE NICE and ask her to HEARTILY endorse Obama and start the healing and way forward.
  • bob_symmes · 1 year ago
Let's just say that this revelation isn't up there with Woodward/Bernstein on Watergate...can there really be anyone (aside from good ole' Harriet Christian or her evel twin Gerry Ferraro) who DOESN'T think the Clintons would throw Chelsea under the bus if it meant forwarding their personal agendas?
  • chuckieboy · 1 year ago
Think of the wonderful residuals. hill and bill drift away, and carville, mcaullife, wolfson, davis, etc., have all completly expended their 15 minutes of fame, and are relegated to the trash bin of history where they belong. How often does anyone have a bunch of assholes disappear from their lives in one fell swoop?
  • Bubbles · 1 year ago
If they so much as offer it to her, they will regret it. It's the old bate and switch tactic. She said she won't take it, but he has to offer it to her? Fuck that noise. She would take it just to fuck with him.

Obama can move on and just politely ignore her.

If he wants to shut her up for good, just select a running mate. If he wants to get her goat, pick Claire McCaskill. She's a tough old gal, and she'll block out the sun on Hillary's parade.

He might also select John Edwards, as V.P. presumptive, and change his mind later, just to block out Hillary's ambition, in case something did happen to him. If Edwards was O's VP candidate, then he would be the heir apparent to O, not Hillary.

But more and more, I like the idea of McCaskill getting the V.P. not just to shut down Hillary's narcissism machinery.

Obama has a right to pick anyone he damn well pleases!

Ok, IF this is the concession that Obama has to make to keep Clinton off of the ticket, I'm all for it. I mean, it's a totally messed up concept because it's about as anti-feminism as you can get if this is really how Hillary's campaign feels, but I simply don't want Hillary or any of her hand-picked choices as our VP candidate.

I'm all for a non-Hillary female VP candidate IF she truly helped the ticket (which is the same standard I hold any male candidate to). I'd LOVE to have Claire McCaskill on the ticket, but she's never someone who is mentioned.

I just find it strange that her campaign feels that the gender of the VP nominee should eliminate possible qualified women for the position all because they think it would be a slap in the face to Hillary and/or the fact that it would be another woman getting the chance to ascend higher than she did. If so many of Hillary's supporters back her because of her gender, you would think that they would be incredibly happy to see a qualified woman to potentially be our first female Vice President even if it were not Hillary.

Gosh, I'm really scratching my head over this stance.
  • 1Ladybug · 1 year ago
The nerve! Who does she think she is? Someone please let the air out of Hillary's overly swollen head before it explodes. She is an egotistical selfish woman who only cares about herself, not her supporters, women issues or the Democratic Party. Everything is about herself just as her speach last night was all me, me, me. I feel sorry for her supporters that were taken in by her. All she craves is power attention and having her ego stroked. Obama please do not offer her the VP slot and if another woman is your choice please offer it to that woman.
  • Alykia · 1 year ago
I think it was meant as a joke. All the others he can pick are male.
  • keith52 · 1 year ago
Why would Barack choose a running mate who won't return his phone calls and is too busy dividing the party to have a meeting? I think Barack should choose Katyhleen Sebelius as VP. She is really smart and has good ethics.
  • FatRat · 1 year ago
Obama should pick Ron Paul for his VP.
