AMERICAblog: Clintons freak out over Vanity Fair article about Bill

  • jr · 1 year ago
the Clinton's dictator mindset knows no bounds
  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
Bill and Hillary should buy an island and spend vast quantities of time there.
  • Indigo · 1 year ago
I hoped for better from the Clintons but it was not to be. Curiously, Kill Bill 1 and 2 are running on Spike this afternoon. Coincidence? A fortuitous synchronicity? A subliminal political message from Spike? I'm smiling. Uma Thurma! Gotta luv her! Oh, yeah! She can use her Mystic Five Finger Touch Exploding Heart Kung Fun . . .um . . . Fuh!

    I JUST WONDER:

If a Clinton is not freaking out...

    Do they actually exist?

    .
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
hahahaha! I think you are right, with them drama is normal.
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
    XXX AQUARIUS!

I have been looking for your words of wisdom! Where on earth have you gone and where might I find you?
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
    Hi

I am around, I read the comments and only post once in awhile. Been working a lot.

Iamge control via "canned" PowerPoint bullet points. Pathetic.

According to me, Hillary Rodham Clinton can kill somebody just for the power. Maybe, after the campaingn, the Clinton take the great rest.

    Excuse my english !

Whereas I might agree with you in theory, I dislike hearing such things in actuality.

Maybe we should just suggest that the Clinton's are inscrutable and capable of almost anything?

It is amazing how different Bill and Hillary are when things do not go their way. They were great during the 90's when Bill was in power, but now that their "place" is threatened, they show the entire world that they would rather destroy the Democratic party than let someone else win. Does Hillary not realize that if we lose this election because of her, that NO ONE is going to elect her in 2012 either?
  • BorninUSA · 1 year ago
Hillary gave her victory speech in Puerto Rico and she definitely is not giving up. She will probably go all the way to Denver and contest the DNC decision. She cannot accept that she has run a terrible campaign. That Ickes, McAuliffe, Rove and Bill have not done her any favors. But they have convinced her to convince her supporters that she is the winner, keep the people sending her money (in fact in her victory speech she made a plea for contributions). She is making a final plea to the super delegates. Obama only needs 20 SDs to cinch the nomination. Why have these 200+ SDs not committed? Are they afraid of Bill and Hillary????
  • Dianne_in_DC · 1 year ago
I saw Dee Dee Myers on Hardball recently. She was mildly critical of Hillary's campaign. Let us know more about the article and memo.
  • Dianne_in_DC · 1 year ago
I missed the links to the articles. Never mind.
  • bumpkis · 1 year ago
Mirth...same here...acting all screwy right now.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
    Thanks, bumpkis.
  • martha · 1 year ago
I so sick of this woman thing for Hillary. I'm for the best person. My father was a man, my brothers, husband and sons are men - that have mothers, daughters, wifes. Please, I'm for Barack Obama because he is the best person..
  • lynchie · 1 year ago
John, I read the whole article in Vanity Fair. The author of the article asked for an interview with Bill Clinton and he refused, something doesn't smell right. Bill loves the ladies never forget that.
  • Nigel Elliott · 1 year ago
The Clintons are the definition of HYPOCRITES!!!!

  • tbhull · 1 year ago
Who really gives a shit anymore? The Clintons are finished.
  • evie · 1 year ago
In Feb, March and April, DD Meyers went on umpteen shows defending HRC against sexism in the media and said, over and over, that Clinton is a "reasonable" person who will "do the right thing" when the time comes.

    She should have known better.
  • jwhit · 1 year ago
At least the article did not mention the rape charges against Hillary. Not only are they finished, they are taking the party down on this sinking Titanic. I believe the superdels are afraid of them because they know about the Clinton body count. Most of them are just as corrupt anyway so they were leaving it up to the people to decide so they wouldn't have to. I hope Barack picks a VP candidate ASAP so that Hillary can go away and forget her dream of "anything can happen"
  • aquarius2 · 1 year ago
Is this the same Ben Smith that writes for Politico?
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
yep, that's his article. He's a good guy,e ven if he does write for politico :-)
  • Polly_Tics · 1 year ago
I like Ben Stein, but I loathe Politico. What a daft premise they have for their very being: an unbiased media source within DC?"

    Yeah, that will happen...
  • Sage24 · 1 year ago
It is drama alright. The Clintons have this ability to make a big song and dance, if things don't go their way. People are sick and tired of this routine, it is getting too much to handle. Hillary has brainwashed her supporters into thinking she was cheated of the nomination. They are using words like hijack, and the fact that she LOST four delegates because of Obama etc. They are so delusional, they cannot understand that Hillary is behind in all counts, because of her lousy campaign. She underestimated Obama, and have to face the consequences. The videos of these old biddies, screeching, and going on about how Hillary is being denied the nomination, is annoying, and as a woman, it is embarrassing too. I cannot understand these idiots, voting for Clinton, because she is a woman, and for no other qualifying reason.
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
If Obama were to take Hillary on as VP, I hope to gosh he has her frisked for weapons before each briefing.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Never.

    Obama/Webb

    or

    Obama/Anybody But The Crazy Woman
  • JayR · 1 year ago
Pretty interesting article. Seems like Dems might have dodged a bullet. The GOP probably has Bill's Gone Wild DVD's all ready to go.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
Very interesting article. The response didn't address what the jist of the story was about--his questionable associations. Sad really. I bought 'My Life' but really couldn't get into it. I don't particularly recall it being too much self serving crap but I think if I tried picking it up again, that will be what jumps off the pages.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
I guess Dee Dee's husband is a professional who doesn't let personal relationships get in the way of him doing his job.

Unlike a short TV host we can all think of.
  • Bush_Bites · 1 year ago
    Ha!

That was quite a memo Billary wrote.

Can't help thinking they took a direct hit to be that upset.
  • Jimbo62 · 1 year ago
Give me a break, James Carville is married to Mary Matalin so what's the big deal. The Clintons sure do get furious a lot, don't they? Life must suck for them.
  • hawkseye · 1 year ago
I've tried links several times and went to VF website and can't access article.
    Anyone else have that problem?
  • mirth · 1 year ago
The link in the post works for me. Here it is:

    http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/200...

Definitely worth the time to read.
  • feeba · 1 year ago
Clinton has taken Kentucky and Obama is right there in Oregon.
The Democratic race for nomination is still very much alive – and most likely to be decided by superdelegates – as CNN points out clearly

    http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/20/prim...

If you’re tired of waiting around for those super delegates to make a decision already, go to LobbyDelegates.com and push them to support Clinton or Obama

If you haven't done so yet, please write a message to each of your state's superdelegates at http://www.lobbydelegates.com

    Obama Supporters:

Sending a note to current Obama supporters lets them know it's appreciated, sending a note to current Clinton supporters can hopefully sway them to change their vote to Obama, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Obama. It's that easy...

    Clinton Supporters too …. !

It takes a moment, but what's a few minutes now worth to get Clinton in office?! Those are really worth !

Sending a note to current Clinton supporters lets them know it's appreciated, sending a note to current Obama supporters can hopefully sway them to change their vote to Clinton, and sending a note to the uncommitted folks will hopefully sway them to vote for Clinton. It's that easy...

Vanity Fair must be going down the drain. I can recall when they wrote about people at the top, not adulterous trailer-trash has-beens!
  • Gary SF · 1 year ago
The Royal Clintons do not live by our laws. Freedom to speak freely and running a successful campaign against one of them is strictly prohibited.

    OT

I'm having Disqus probs today, at different times it's a Server Error or slow load or no load. Because of that I can only occasionally access AB thread comments.
    Anyone else?
  • John Aravosis · 1 year ago
There's been a problem with one of our ad servers slowing things down, either stopping the page from loading, or half loading it. Also, I think blogger whigged out earlier today.
  • mirth · 1 year ago
Also, the Disqus server has been off-and-on down today.
  • Busboy · 1 year ago
Yes; Disqus has been screwed all day.
