Couldn't have said it better myself.
We have had way too much of the borrow and bomb policy of the neocons. It is way past time for a change.

.................................guess there is no other news outfit McCain can go to except that bastion of fair, balanced, even shake, above board crowd...................fox

What did Wolf "Caress My Silky Beard" Blitzer do during this beatdown of a noble war hero-victim-former POW?

    Damn! Jack's AWESOME!!

    more of this please, MSM!!

My take on Saddleback was the same as Cafferty's. He sounded great if you love Bush or are a lunatic. I thought Obama did very well. My sister was a reporter at the event and she said that mainly Republican crowd came away with a much more positive view of Obama. I don't think a left-leaning viewing audience would say the same about McCain. My theory is that the enthusiastic applause made McCain's performance seem better than it was.

    God Bless Jack Cafferty!!

    Spot on across the board!

Agreed, Jack, but WTF took you so long to figure it out???

    John,

    Sullivan nails it!

By American (current) standards, McCain WAS NOT tortured.

  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
    that is awesome.

McCain is unfit for the Presidency
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
Ditto... someone in the WH press corps should ask that question..

do you consider what mccain endured to be torture?

and a follow up, if john mccain was considered to be tortured, why do we use the same techniques and consider it 'interregation'?
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
Wolf probably peed in his pants. LOL
  • Hagioscope · 1 year ago
Who learned anything about how John McCain thinks, aside from the fact that in his own mind he's still very much a prisoner of the Viet Cong. His entire viewpoint is solidly rooted in his POW years.
  • LasloPratt · 1 year ago
I am sick and tired of the president of the United States embarrassing me.

That should be on a T-shirt. That should be on ten million T-shirts.
  • KerrynowCampau · 1 year ago
I would buy one for everyone I know......
  • gaiilonfong · 1 year ago
Cafferty was great...Blitzer was here in Ft Lauderdale last week coming out of Cheescake factory the same time as myself and my party...I yelled to him that he and CNN suck...he had no response....he is a planted AIPAC whore with no balls
  • LasloPratt · 1 year ago
Yelling at somebody that they suck is generally not going to get a response...
  • gaiilonfong · 1 year ago
But it felt good and that is ALL that mattered to me...so pomm neii wheii
  • unrepentant_expat · 1 year ago
One after another, McCain's answers were shallow, simplistic, and trite. He showed the same intellectual curiosity that George Bush has -- virtually none.

Though, considering the audience, it was a perfect strategy.
  • Fireblazes(CheetohsandCatfood) · 1 year ago
Perhaps you are trying to be humorous, but do not underestimate the intelligence and drive of anyone, especially those you disagree with.

I don't think anyone could put it any better. PERFECT! Thank you JACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • bluestockton · 1 year ago
I can't believe the beach volleyball player actually invited Bush to swat her on the ass. But then, he probably would have if he had left Laura back in DC.
  • tlsintx · 1 year ago
I fear to the depth of my being that John McCain is worse than Bush.

for a person to turn around and play Karl Rove style dirty politics after Karl Rove and Bush did the same thing to him...that's a scary damn person.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
tisintx: This behavior of revenge may be an outgrowth of his POW experiences. Think about it. We are all products of our experience.
  • SusieQ · 1 year ago
Now if only the OBAMA CAMPAIGN could sound off like this. The talking points should not be coming from Jack Cafferty but I'll take what I can get.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
SusieQ: We need many more journalists who, like Jack Cafferty, tell it like it is. CNN ought to increase his on-air time and take this time from the Wolff Blitzers and Lou Dobbs who are puppets and self-absorbed.

Don't dispair SusieQ. You will see much more of the Cafferty approach to truth after the conventions in the real campaign. Until then remember to tell all within your circle that for MORE PAIN they have only to consider a VOTE FOR McCAIN!
  • SusieQ · 1 year ago
God has answered my prayers and has given Rachel Maddow her own show on MSMBC.
  • Joneses · 1 year ago
Fake News will call him a Un-American who hates freedom.
  • DavidinChelseaMA · 1 year ago
McCain is just pathetic. It's very bizarre watching the Through-The-Looking-Glass Network, Fox "News," doing whatever it can to make him seem less than a total zero.
  • ron071 · 1 year ago
These are sad times indeed for the greatest country in the world. The quality of Bush and McCain is a disgrace and most people know this. I keep wondering how 95% of the American voters could even consider voting for such as they. That's amazing.

WANT MORE PAIN ????????VOTE McCAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • lincat · 1 year ago
    I love you Jack Cafferty!
  • blackwolf · 1 year ago
Haha! Jack be nimble--Jack be quick. This is what I call "balls". I don't know how the man can walk in a straight line with the twins clankin' as they do. This is what the Obama campaign should be firing off 24/7.

"Where are John McCain's writings exploring the vexing moral issues of our time? Where are his position papers setting forth his careful consideration of foreign policy, the welfare state, education, America's moral responsibility in the world, etc., etc., etc.?"

This above quote of Jack nails it like nothing else I've read about McCain in a long time! Hell, make this an issue in the campaign. A major one, and beat the hell out of it non stop. What the F*ck has he been doing for the last 26 years in Congress? What has he written that would be worthy of strenuous thought?
  • Soundboy_jeff_meanie · 1 year ago
Why does Jack Cafferty hate America?

Regarding intellectual curiosity, GW Bogus, John McCain, and the Republican base; I don't think there could be a more poignant discussion. This goes to the very heart of how we got stuck with GW Bogus & the Lie Factory twice, and how we just might get stuck a third time. It also goes to the heart of how FOX Noise and ignoramus ass-clowns like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and many others are able to maintain an audience.

It's very simple really. INTELLECTUAL CURIOSITY IS THE ORIGINAL SIN! Adam & Eve took an apple from the 'Tree of Knowledge' and then were cast from the Garden of Eden. That's it, and that's all. The Republican base fear intellectual curiosity because they fear God. It's been drilled into their pea brain skulls that it's a sin, and that's how we got GW Bogus & the Lie Factory twice and may get a third term. The fundamentalist mindset will blindly follow (to all of our detriment) that which falsely, but successfully proclaims to be the Party of God; science and/or common sense be damed.

    OBAMA, OH-EIGHT, OR ELSE!!!

Can we possibly find a place for people like us?
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
There are supports groups. Meetings are held at the bar. Any bar.
  • JMOHR · 1 year ago
No, idiot, we will have McCain for the third Bush term because people like you put down the majority of Americans who do not spend the same amount of time on these issues as do we. Now, the voters will be interested in who will best lead the government. For better or worse, we Democrats want to piss away our opportunity for this vote. The Republicans typically bully the Democratic candidate who never fights back. The conclusion, Democrats just are wussies. I have to admit that I am beginning to believe the same.

You hit the nail right in the head. They both think they're funny and I'm tired of seeing their stupid, silly grins when THEY think they've said something clever. We need a smart President who will NOT embarrass this country!
  • vkobaya · 1 year ago
I really admire those foreign diplomats who sit down at the negotiating table and manage to keep a straight face when Bush is on the other side of the table. I could never do it. If I were a non-American, I would not be able to control my hysterical wild laughter with the idea that Bush is any kind of a diplomat, any kind of a statesman or has any idea of why he is supposed to negotiate.
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
McShank is such a dumb ass. Its amazing the majority in the country don't see right through him. Then I think of Massachusettes who loved Mitt Romney and Connecticut Joe Liberman. Lets face it, the average American is braindead.

The Emperor has no clothes... and his successor has the same tailor.
  • ginsmill · 1 year ago
Leave it to Jack to get it right but how is it that the polls just out have McCain closing the gap? I feel like I am losing my mind---what little I have left. Lets see, on one side we have a 72 year old guy that use to be called the maverick, voted against tax cuts for the wealthy, was against drilling in ANWR, supported R v Wade, and now sounds like Bush, Jr. and Pat Robinson in one. On the other side we have a young, smart as hell, talks about of all things peace. Where is the confussion. Is it the American people like stupidity?
  • JMOHR · 1 year ago
But there are too many Democrats implying that such attacks on McCain would be the low road and getting into the gutter. Others speak of how we cannot go negative because McCain is a war hero and POW. God, these people need to get real. McCain is exactly what Cafferty says. Obama needs to hit these points in a softer way and unleash his surrogates for the harsher attacks. But there must be attacks on the image of McCain as an experienced, military genius and hero of the republic. If you praise McCain at every encounter, you merely reinforce that image. How can you win if you concede that McCain is the better man by constantly praising him and never criticizing his capabilities?
  • red_dwarf · 1 year ago
JMOHR - exactly. Why doesn't Obama come out and say:

You want someone who graduated 894th out of class of 899 running the country? I don't.

But that's "hitting below the belt". Of course its ok for the rePigs to call Obama a Muslim, or the anti-Christ, etc. Democrats are spineless, let's face it. That's why these lose elections. They won't stand up and fight and tell it like it is. Nobody likes whimps. Conclusion: Lying uneducated scumbags are preferable in this country over semi-intellecutal whimps.

*Must see *With respect to the Mexican immigration issue, the true fear of the right really comes out here. You have got to see Bill O'Reilly force McCain to "put the hood on" and agree with him that America is getting too dark. He challenges McCain to see that America's complexion is changing and that we have to "put a cap" on the dark population threatening the White Christian Power Base (he includes himself in this). This is why the right distrusts McCain and they are trying to whip him into saying he will not allow Mexicans and other dark people to come to America.
By insisting that America needs to continue to be run by White Christian Men, eliminates Lieberman as a candidate if McCain hopes to get support from the right. This is an amazing video that must be seen and shared with the Latino community that thinks McCain has their back. He will flip-flop and sell them out as quickly as he does here in this "woodshed" conversation with O'Reily

just read the entire article. I want to give Cafferty a hug. thank you for saying exactly what I have been saying for so long.
I am tired of that embecile embarrassing us in public.
  • moreleesafer · 1 year ago
yes! i want Barack to say exactly what Jack said! say it loud, say it often.
  • PeteWa · 1 year ago
Jack states the obvious. The rest of t.v. land has an anuerism.
  • Dusty · 1 year ago
Jack Cafferty is the man! He talks about the *real* McCain as the rest of the media should. Most jobs that hire people want the cream of the crop, and we have to scrap the bottom of the barrow to come up with someone to lead our country?

But John McCain got a little brain damaged in vietnam (agent orange maybe) to go along with his pitiful grades in school. And that's suppose to make him presidenital material!?
  • cwzilla · 1 year ago
Jack cafferty is the only one I watch on CNN the rest I cant stomac putz blitzer and the rest of the corprate media sycophants whos only reason to be there is face time and a pay check and to spew right wing talkin points ie like the BS reporting on the russian georgian conflict they got it bassacwards as usual as long as jack is on the attack I will continue to watch at 58 and 50 after the hour
  • LiftingVeil · 1 year ago
Thank you Jack Cafferty. You are my new hero and I stand up and applaud you. This is my first post, first blog and first desire to respond to something so significant as to the simplicity but boldly true statements posted by Mr. Cafferty. Clearly Jack is under duress from the fleecing of the America we once knew. Jack you are not alone! We are indeed a nation of weaklings and I for one am disgusted with the overall prozac mentality of "..oh it will get better". People remove the veil from your faces. Take your head out of the ground for just a moment and realize that our company --America Inc. is failing. Our very way of life is compromised and yet we continue to vote for blissfully ignorant leaders. If McCain becomes president, I will seriously have to say that we as americans deserve everything that is coming to us. Do us all a favor --Cut up your voter registration cards if you base your decisions on how he or she looks, or can be funny or play sax on the tonight show. Do not vote if mom and dad always voted Repuplican or Democrat, so I'm going to vote Republican or Democrat. Do not vote if your best friends are voting the same way. It's time to study, and I mean really study people. Look at the issues that plague our country's well being and then drill down further as Jack did. What does your future president believe in? Can he or she offer something more than a sentence to appease a 3 year old to an in depth question. Look at their histories and previous decisions. Who is their influence and finally what is their vision plan for us and our children. Our country is hemmoraging. We are losing our soldiers, our money, our jobs, our very will to fight against the darkness that comes our way. I want my future president to be bold and not lie to the people. Be different. I want my future president to be fallable and admit he doesn't know the answer all the time, but to also be vigilent enough to say I promise I will try to find the best answer and get back to you. I want our future president to get involved in a blog even and let the people know what he is thinking and as for our opinion. It's time to demand more of our world leaders and get America back on track in the world stage. I want our soldiers to step foot on the enemy's territory while the oppressed people cheer and thank god American soldiers are here to save us from true tyranny. I miss the country I once had. I want my pride back. I feel it's been taken from me. If you are happy with your life and the way things are, then I'm glad for you and your unlimited prozac prescription. If you are mad about what is happening to us and our beloved god fearing country --Then welcome to the fight... Now let's do something about it. Start the change with yourself.
