So save your prayers for them Sgt Shultz.
Yes I listened to that crap you call a speech. It was dull, lacked substance and gave lip service to "unity" that didn't mean a damned thing. Republicans for the past 8+ years have been as devicive as they can be and they are STILL AT IT with the McCain campaign. J-Mac's words tonight was political bullshit.
Satan's phoney xtian minions prefer "base" anyway. It's what they are: BASE.
Your hatred of America cannot be hidden beneath your faux troll-concern. Stop trying to act sincere-It's comes off as phony as the 666-dollar bill in your pocket from your REAL God.
Take your Satan-worship somewhere else.
I was also disturbed with his stand on education. I'm a retired teacher who strongly believes that public education is the main door of opportunity in this country. If what McCain said tonight happens-vouchers for c harter and private schools- and incentives for teachers, public schools will be further stressed and will no longer be able to provide a way out of poverty for many. I devoted thirty years of my life trying to convince students that all their options are open through education. If the wealthy and savvy parents pull their kids out of the public schools, those options will fade away.
McCain said get rid of the"bad" teachers. I can't disagree, but in my career, I did not come across very many-and the few I did were dealt with. The vast majority were competent and caring.
My father's parents immigrated from Lithuania at the turn of the century. They were determined that their children would become Americans and get an education. My dad not only graduated high school, but went on to finish college and become a partner in a major CPA firm. Even though he was a Republican, he always reminded us children about the importance of education. We cannot allow the public school system to falter. It is the backbone of this country!
LOL!!
