AMERICAblog: Condensed version of GOP response

Obama needs to call him out, tonight if possible. Liar.

Leave the GOP in the dust and pass the bill. That is the message we need to send to our representatives.

In his speech, Obama threatened to "call out" those who tell lies and distort the proposal.

So, will Obama "call out" Rep Boustany tomorrow for his response? REp Boustany started his response with several lies and distortions. He made the claim of a government takeover of the insurnace of those who already have coverage. He distorted the propose "cuts" in medicare and medicaid as being "cuts" that would affect the coverage of medicare and medicaid recipients.

I look forward to President Obama "calling out" Boustany by name and with specifics tomorrow in a public statement.

jeez, i thought jindal was a stiff. where'd they unearth this guy?
there's gotta be something in the water (besides that provided by all the refineries and chemical plants) in louisiana.
good thing i never drink water when i'm in nawleens.

Boustany gave his speech in the exact same sing-song/talk down to the children manner that Jindal did last time around

    It was pathetic

My very favorite story about the GOPs rebuttal choice is how he tried to purchase a British peerage. Yesireeee the silly putz got snared in a scheme of not so nice Brits who saw a rich fool coming down the road whose level of arrogance and stupidity put a target on his ass and his wallet....thought he could become a Duke or some such and go back home in Lousyana! ha ha ha ha Its such a Reagan Republican story. ha ha ha Yoooo Boustany..your lordship...you are as weak as that silly other putz in Baton Rouge Jindal. You would have thought they would have gone to another state and for the response this time. Yeap the GOP is truly a regional party of fools. Boustany and the brilliant congressman from South Carolina...luvit luvit.

For a heart surgeon to be sued only three times for malpractice is hardly significant. He must've had a short career.

That said, his response to Pres. Obama's speech was close to totally empty.

His whole rebuttal went south when he insinuated, "Trust me and trust what I am saying because I'm a doctor." His facts do not add up with the rest of the world's data. I'm sure after three law suits against him for malpractice, ( which sounds like a lot, but isn't ) he would love to have that capped so his patients couldn't sue him and he wouldn't have to have his insurance rates go up from the law suits.

Sorry, but it's a cheap shot to call Boustany out for 3 malpractice suits. He's a cardiologist, good or bad I don't know, and malpractice suits are par for the course. If KO had said he'd lost 3 malpractice suits, that would be germain to the discussion of his credibility.

That aside, Boustany is a asshat
