I think you can see why the Corporate Media had "lost interest" in the War.
The fact that they're attacking Scotty now tells me that they wanted to bury their own role in it.

If by "liberate" you mean kill hundreds of thousands of them and put them under a theological dictatorship instead of a secular one.

does liberate mean slaughter?

Interesting part of Scotty's book that only Olberman has been touching on is Bush's comment along the lines of "Presidents only become great through wars....."
Leads to a question only Olbermann would ask: Did Bush lead the country into war not for WMDs, not to depose Saddam nor even for oil, but solely to find a place in the history books?
He wouldn't be the first world leader to do that, but we haven't had many presidents who think like that.

Let's not forget that any "side benefit" of Bush's war plan is the billions to be made for Halliburton and Blackwater. Bush knew that prosperity would blossom for these companies whether democracy took hold or not. Either way it was win/win. The worse the war, the more profits to be made by defense contractors.

Bush-Bites calls Bush a " world leader". Is this a joke? Which countries are following this " world leader"?

100,000 + Iraqis liberated so far!

Chrissy thinks that the Iraqis have been " liberated" from the master Reagan supported. Why can't we leave Iraq if they have been " liberated"? How long will the US be bled to continue this liberation? McBush says 50-100 years of occupation is ok with him. Why, if Iraq has been " liberated"?

Yeah, Condi's right: they did some things poorly, other things well. The Bush league did poorly at running the country in general, were terrible at foreign and domestic policy, clueless on economic policy, awful at regulating financial markets, etc. - but they were very, very good at media manipulation and browbeating Congress through hardball tactics. Their mistake was in believing they could get away with treating the rest of the world the way they treated the Democrats.

I also would say they did an excellent job of destroying the "republican brand", and of uniting so many against them.

liberate the Iraqi people = 1,000,000+ murdered civilians; 4,000,000+ Iraqis fleeing their homes; terror every day for 6 years; few hours a day of water and power; control of their resources by US corporations; puppet government; ethnic cleansing; food supplies being cut off for refugees in other countries; fatwas being issued to not feed and to kill the invaders (that'd be us), referendum to allow the Iraqi people to tell Ameircans to leave denied, etc, etc, etc.
Condi Rice is a pathological liar, just like Bush, Cheney, Rove and the rest of the cabinet. The game's up liars. Anything you say now will be discounted by 95% of humans around the globe. Let's hope you're all indicted for War Crimes.

Condi, what a useless human being. She is without any skills other than servicing her master and possesses not one ounce of curiousity. She has repeatedly done the same thing over and over, threaten and scream. It has never occurred to her that going to war has not worked, maybe, just maybe, negotiating with your perceived enemy, understanding what the complaints are might be better. Maybe we can't right the wrongs, maybe we are unable to reach common ground, maybe in the end we isolate and control if their actions warrant it, but to go to war, kill the citizens and then wonder why they want us dead in Iraq is the action of non-intelligent, incompetent, boobs. I guess no one should point out to Condi that it was the U.S. who put Saddam in charge and Regan instructed his minions to make sure Saddam got everything he wanted.
Condi, there is a special place for you, nice view of the San Francisco skyline, little brisk in the winter, 3 meals a day and I understand the de-lousing is bracing with water out of the bay.

What a pissant thing for her to say. I guess it is up to us to add the qualifier "....and hundreds of thousand of innocents died, and millions of people are now living in hel on earth because of it" after her "we did some things well, and some things not so well"....cause you know...there actually WERE consequences.
Most Iraqis would probably not say it was worh getting rid of Hussein. One could make the case that his congenital offspring were like mutant ninja variants of him, with even less respect for life, even more brutal...so things might (or might not...) have gotten a lot worse, but then again, it was THEIR COUNTRY, and they could have overthrown the if it got worse.
But nobody asked Bush or Rice, and it had nothing to do with the US, they were most definitely NOT a threat to the US or freedom in the US. And we need to keep our hands to ourselves, stop meddling and defend our own country.

What evidence of this 'liberation" of the Iraqi people exists? The Suni and Shia will always fight each other unless another strongman emerges to keep control. The US is now paying $ 300 per month to 90,000 Sunis to keep the peace in Northern Iraq while Iran is supporting the Shia in the South. The Kurds are independent in the North. Waht have our billions and 4100 American lives accomplished? Rice, Bush, & Cheney are far beyond dangerous and incompetent.

Somehow and soon the Democratic Party MUST get Clinton off the stage and allow the presidential campaign to get on with it. This is crucial and must be accomplished one way or the other. I find those who support Clinton to the fight at the convention to be totally ignorant and very dangerous. A McCain presidential win will be clearly laid at the Clinton's door. They will never emerge from that disgrace.
I heard on the local news this morning that shrub and the administration was 'shocked' and 'saddened' by the allegations in the book... Altogether, everybody... 'awwwwwwwwww.......'

Like all the ego-trippers in DC, it took McClellan years to get mad, and while all of this can be used by us to say, "I told you so", it's not his intent for us to get that benefit. It's purely self-serving to rid himself of guilt for the blood on his own hands.
Still, I can't help but smile at the shitstorm he's stirred up, and the same old, same old from the WH that people (if they pay attention) should get this time, maybe?

So says our Secretary of State, who is one of the gang of war criminals, who lied to us, and took us into war. What can you expect from this woman? She played the Bush fear card, by warning us about imaginary mushroom clouds. She is one of the lousiest SOS's we have ever had.
woodroad34

She's also said Shrub was quite clear on the reason for going to war...Was that the mushroom cloud (yellowcake uranium), the practically non-existant Al Qaida presence, or the assasination of a head of state (which I thought had been illegal for decades)? This is the Iraq War...not the war against Al Qaida or the Afghanistan War. Condi's been inept all along. She doesn't get world opinion to change, the war's going badly, and we're still in danger from terrorists.
