Just goes to show everyone has a choice, what they do with it is up to them. I mean it is pretty bad to have to resort to a write-in vote but hey, obviously there are some Republicans with standards.

Unfortunately, in the mind of the red state cofounder McCain just doesn't hate the gays enough. His standards would align nicely with those of Nazis in the 1930's.

Fighting Progressives are taking proactive measures to ensure Republicans, and idiots like Lou Dobbs, don't try to steal the election with the ACORN myth. They don't to see a landslide by Obama ruined by Republicans and conservatives trying to pretend they were cheated out of victory. I think we should really push this narrative. Sorry, Republicans, you are losing FAIR AND SQUARE so just stop with the whole ACORN MYTH shit!

A must read from DailyKos. An Overland Park, Kansas Obama supporter gets canvassed by McCain (after being attacked by McCain - Palin idiot at grocery store)

McCain certainly is causing incidents of domestic terrorism against Obama's supporters here in America by allowing his campaign to act like Nazi Brown Shirt Storm Troopers!

Good god, these people are becoming frightening. We had to live through TWO dubious elections and they are angry that their candidate isn't going to make it three?

What is awful is I keep hearing "wait until people see their investment statements next week" BUT guys like the shopping cart guy probably don't have investment statements. The down turn in the economy is a moot point for them. Other than rising gas and food prices they are not affected.
  • cowboyneok · 1 year ago
Well, I'm sure the Republicans will keep shopping cart guy from voting. Ya know, they don't like it when poor people vote, and they will demand he have a "permanent address" and "voting card" if he happens to look homeless on election day.

I'm with ya, though. Republicans have grown used to having their way, and they are violently angry things have gone so wrong and they won't be able to select another guy to make it worse. They've been conditioned to think they go vote and their guy gets in "every time." They aren't going to like it when the more intelligent progressives get a shot at trying to fix their disasters.

I think it's important to look at the vacuum of leadership Bush/McCain have created for their party. Where the Republican party goes from here with no unifying ideas is interesting.

Hopefully McCain's embracing of the racist wingnut strategy convinces them that it is not a way to win elections, and more moderate(sane) ideology prevails.

    Dear Friend:

Are you ready yet for the November 4th Elections? How about your friends, family, and neighbors?
More Americans are expected to vote this year than ever before in history, so don’t be left out! Be sure to ask everyone you know the following questions:
    • Are you registered to vote? If you moved recently, have you updated your voter registration?
    • Did you apply for an Absentee Ballot? Do you know your state may not require any reason?
    • Can you find your local Polling Place? Do you know it may have changed from last time?
The answers to these questions -- and all your voting needs -- can be found at www.StateDemocracy.org
