Perhaps one of these introspective Republicans could channel my 93 year old father. Would, could he listen to one of his own? ...Nahhhh

I know it must be hard for them but putting our country first is the most important issue.

That was profoundly interesting because it opened a window into the thought processes of conservatives. I still don't get what they're about but if they're voting for Obama, then . . . Great!

. Is this because of their rat-like desire to desert a sinking ship? Or is it their innate sense of fealty, being transferred automatically to a new overlord? Lord knows they can't live without a master. How humiliating it must be to such racist assholes to be forced by their conditioning to enslave themselves to a black man. Don't lets invite them to the victory banquets: I say we feed them to the poor. No soup for you, Nazi's! .

I think this is a great ad and I hope it makes those republicans sitting on the fence more comfortable about crossing over. Like Southern Yankee stated, putting country first must be the highest priority of each voter. Hopefully there will be more ads like this to come as we get down to the end of this endless campaign.

I like that..."Hope Defeats Hate 2008". I would like to see that headline in a newspaper on November 5th...

"Being Barry Goldwater's granddaughter and living in Arizona, one would assume that I would be voting for our state's senator, John McCain.....Myself, along with my siblings and a few cousins, will not be supporting the Republican presidential candidates this year."
Grandma: You sweet thing you:) Politics must be in your blood.

Your not the only one. I just got off the phone with a young man in his 20's that's living and working in the Tuscon area, and he told me that although most of his fellow workers are voting for McCain, he's voting for Obama...

As a registered Democrat, I've voted for various Republicans in the past because I felt it was best for the current situation. I will probably vote for a couple of Republicans in our state races, because I truly think that in NY, there are too many far-left politicians in office. I'm intelligent enough not to consider myself the only one who thinks this way, and I've always felt that there has to be some registered Republicans out there that have similar thoughts. I'm very glad to finally see some of them come forward and expect that there are a lot more that will do the same...

gotta love the young pro-life guy saying abortion is not a "big issue" anymore. his portfolio is shrinking so temporarily it's not a good time to worry about 3.1 gazillion pre-born babies "slaughtered/murdered" every year. hmm, can you really just "set that aside" dude? really makes me wonder how many pro-lifers really believe their own rhetoric in the first place.
here's my prediction: obama will be elected next month, Roe v Wade will be saved, and abortions in the US will begin to decline sharply.

Nice to see so many LCRs voting Obama, even the ex-gay...

It's funny how it largely comes down to massive amounts of shame towards Republican leadership, the refusal to eat yet another shit sandwich and say its delicious, and just general bewilderment at the state of the country. Congrats Republican Party, I hope you got everything you wanted out of the last 8 years, it's gonna be awhile before you get another crack at it.
OT: PPI poll of California voters: Obama 56, McSame 33. WooHoo!

Thank you to all who are voting not PERSONAL PARTY PREFERENCE but . . . . actually analizing all at stake and VOTING FOR WHAT IS BEST FOR THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. This takes courage and maturity and you are all to be commended.

Obama supporters, in addition to volunteering, here is an easy thing you can do to reinforce the campaign:
Please share this Republican Switchers site - http://budurl.com/c679 - with everyone you know, especially undecided, conservative-learning voters in toss-up states. It's an up-to-date, at-a-glance list of conservative leaders and newspapers that are endorsing Obama. (And it includes a link to the video above.)
Email widely and also share on Twitter, Facebook, your blog, discussion groups, etc.

And for those longing to return to the "simpler times" of the 50's, here's a video from Ron Howard on why we need change...
