AMERICAblog: Cop give pregnant woman ticket for using breakdown lane to race to hospital while in labor

  • IntelVet · 1 year ago
Palin tried for a natural abortion by delaying medical attention after her water broke. That, is a fact, ignored by most anti-abortionists.

I know this is just incidental, but, imo, there is a change in the attitude of law enforcement in this country (and people) ever since the 'war on drugs'. it's called facism, and I hope it reverses soon...

These idiots need to be fired.

Actually, the best punishment is for HIM to carry a child for 9 months...for HIM to have his better half rush him to the hospital...for HIM to get pulled over and get a ticket.

You know, just to have him know how it feels.

    Karma, baby.
  • RainbowPhoenix · 1 year ago
Sounds good, but I prefer punishments within the realm of reality.

    Fair enough.

I'll settle for the guy getting drummed out of his job, though.

Failing that, being scorned by everyone and getting Worst Person in the World will be fine.

    LOL!

    Good point.

I used to know a bunch of Mass State Troopers, out of the Foxboro barracks. A lot of sharp guys and a few real knuckleheads. I mean just dumber than a ditch carp.

Trooper Gallucio is now resigned to a life of living hell, administered not only by KO, but by his fellow troopers. He will never, ever hear the end of this. They probably have this playing on an endless tape loop in the barracks.

I have $5.00 that says Gallucio was a nugget.

    What's a nugget?
  • FatRat · 1 year ago
I was curious myself, so I looked around for the definition (it has many); I think it means "idiot".

    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=...

    nugget
In Scotland, a nugget means "idiot" in it's purest term. You can use nugget in both an offensive and friendly context.

This says so much about American culture. Where was her family? Where was her partner, neighbors, friends, anybody to help her out? Why was this woman all alone at a time when she quite clearly needed help? As an American expat, I can't IMAGINE this happening where I live, even if it was just a stranger to lend a helping hand. How sad for us as Americans.

Listen to Olberman; her husband was in the car with her.
  • warbler · 1 year ago
Oh, please tell us about the paradise where you are living now, where you don't have to read about something or watch a video before you go off about how America done you wrong. You're going to stay there, right?
  • SociologistTina · 1 year ago
I agree with your critique of American Culture, and that this case exemplifies it.

    Where do YOU live?

Wouldn't the cops who initially stopped the car given them some sort of escort, just in case things happened a bit too fast for the father to handle? Labor pains three minutes apart can turn on a dime to "transition" to us ladies out there who birth babies quickly.
  • irishdave3 · 1 year ago
Or the Mother of the President-Elect, whose Labor pains started in East Africa and still had time to fly to Honolulu, with a stop-over in Moscow to receive her "final marching orders" before giving birth...Sheesh
  • cole3244 · 1 year ago
i would use that old 60's term to insult this trooper but i don't want to demean the oinker community unnecessarily just because a human is such an fool.
  • skepgnostic · 1 year ago
GEE, John, you're not suggesting that Mrs. Palin might not actually have BEEN pregnant are you :-)

I mean for instance my mother was a pretty big lady but when she was pregnant with my sister I don't think she could have played "don't ask don't tell" and nobody would've noticed ... how plausible is that really
  • Bob · 1 year ago
In Kansas City Mo a cop stoped a pregnant at was bleeding. She asked to be taken to hospital. No. The lady lost the child. KCMO settled the case a few months ago. Cops do a lot of good things, more good than bad I'm guessing but they scare the hell out me.
