AMERICAblog: Dear MSNBC, if you're going call a poll the latest poll, then use the latest poll

  • Dave of the Jungle · 1 year ago
The polls that matter have already determined that Hillary can't win.
  • SarainKC · 1 year ago
    An inconvenient truth, indeed.

  • johnosahon · 1 year ago
ok john i take back the "shame on you john", this is much better than holoscan LOL
  • smalvarado · 1 year ago
I guess the poll is interesting. So does the candidate who gets the highest number get to steal the other's pledged delegates? Personally, I think it'll end up being another tool to help spin a false victory out of a loss.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
All this bickering is turning off indy voters and they are going to McSame.

IF McSame wins, we are screwed. Our country cannot survive another four years of Chimpy Repuke policies.
  • grasshopper · 1 year ago
Nice hit job guys. Gloat some more.

Other than Keth Olberman who gets a bit too bombastic at times, MSNBC is a Right Wing mouth piece. Peace.
  • SarainKC · 1 year ago
Although I agree the need to include Tucker Carlson at every chance is a dead give away to right wing appeasers, at least MSNBC gives Olbermann a platform. Can you imagine a voice like his coming from ANY of the other networks? I used to think Mathews was a right wing tool but have come to believe he's just not very bright. He seems desperate to get acceptance from the biggest bullies in the room (thus his man love for Tom Delay). Abrams, I think, goes over board being "balanced" but you have to appreciate his willingness to include Rachel Maddow as a regular on his panels.

We are all so good at letting them know what we don't like. Perhaps more emails from us to Abrams on what we appreciate will breed more of it?

    Okay...I'm testing this. . .

And no, why would the mainstream media start checking for accuracy now? It's much more fun to only those things that imply something other than current fact. . .

Now my internet explorer hates me...but firefox handles this just fine.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Keith Olberman is only bombastic to reich wingnuts who don't agree with him.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Now I have +3 points. There goes my bad reputation.
  • scooter in brooklyn · 1 year ago
msnbc / cnn / fox - not one of them is worth a damn. it's almost all mindless blather to sell crap.
  • nicho · 1 year ago
Polls -- basically the opinions of people who (a) own a landline (b) are home at the time of the call (c) don't screen (d) are willing to talk to pollsters (which many people aren't) and (d) who don't fuck with the pollsters' heads (as I used to do).

When many people -- especially young people -- have cell phones and VoIP phones as their primary line, are working two jobs, won't take calls from callers they don't recognize, and can't be bothered taking polls, the results are going to be very skewed.

I was eating dinner last night before the anti-war protest, and they had CNBC on the tvs there. That fat traitor Grover Norquist was on. It made my blood boil.

Grover Norquist should be drowned in a bathtub. That's what he wants to to the United States.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Nicho, you just described old people...McSame supporters.

No wonder the polls are showing him so high. There's an old fogey skew.
  • nicho · 1 year ago
    Bingo!
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
So, can we collect these points and trade them for valuable prizes?

I want an official John A. tee shirt!!
  • Patriot · 1 year ago
I still don't quite understand why Hillary is still up in the polls. Maybe I missed something but, I haven't seen anything positive from her in quite a while and anyone paying attention knows she is out without a coup from the superdelegates.
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
Yesterday, the only video of the protests I saw was on CNN international. Maybe I missed it on the others? MSNBC has fulltime researchers?
  • shell · 1 year ago
I hate this new thing! Yes, yes, I will wait a few days. LOL

Most of the talking heads are lame. As someone said, "On Wednesday, they still respond to what happened on Monday, despite what happened on Tuesday." And sure enough, they are doing it about Obama pastor, like they didn't hear Obama's speech on Tuesday. I watch Keith Olbermann, and that's it anymore.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Neither of the Denver papers covered last night's Iraq vigil. But other morning papers in Colorado followed their local vigils.

I think they're censoring us. Out of sight, out of mind.
  • theWalrus · 1 year ago
I have +6 points according to Disqus but my "Clout" rating is -4? What's up with that? I want more clout!
  • devis1 · 1 year ago
Maybe now they'll juxtapose all the videos of the pastor with the videos of the SC troopers in their cruisers running down black kids fleeing on foot. The 2 and 3 day suspensions imposed on the troopers couldn't possibly foster anger in the black community. That was justice I tell ya.

I'm sure O'Reilly will inform us that the racial discrimination is as phony as US Veteran's sleeping under bridges.
  • Arachnae · 1 year ago
You are not actually trying to make the point that MSNBC is in the bag for Hillary, are you? Say you're not really trying to imply that.

Oh, I get it - you're just jealous. Because they were on the Hate-Hillary bandwagon waaaay before you joe-and-john-come-latelies.
  • kiki · 1 year ago
I just heard on MSNBC that, according to the polls, John McCain was ahead of Clinton and Obama. What a joke! Do they really think that we would believe such bogus information or are they getting us ready for another fixed election? (which wouldn't surprise me) McBush will never win this election. We have had enough of the Bush administration to last us a life time and then some. I'm also sick of hearing the cable news BS about Obama's preacher. If they think by repeating over and over again that Obama didn't do or say enough to satisfy their sick needs they are wrong! Obama's speech was eloquent and if the Repukes didn't like it, too bad! Their party will soon be next to the Whigs, right where it belongs!
  • neoconvict · 1 year ago
One wonders how infiltrated the polling organizations may have become. Zogby seems to be fairly independet, but still, the Neocons have infiltrated every branch of government and the media. It's only logical to assume they're controlling the polling, too. After all they got Edison/Mitofsky to change their position in 2004 in a farcical justification of why the exit polls showed Kerry winning, yet he "lost."

As for MSNBC, just last week their hosts on-air said 9-11 Truthers should be thrown in a special prison, a CIA secret gulag. Ohhhh-kay. Don't bother to INVESTIGATE all the irregularities about the official 9-11 story; instead, let's advocate for anytone pushing for accountability to be jailed and tortured.

Oh, my God. And that pretty much summarizes the state of the major media in the US.

Perhaps if the Election Fraud Machine actually allows Obama to be elected (although there's no reason to believe this will happen,) he really can begin to fix the downward spiral this once-great country is on.

But I'm not holding my breath. In the meantime let's keep the heat on in places like New Jersey where they're trying to postpone using voter verified paper ballots until 1/09. Gee, why do you think that is? Couldn't be to flip a presidential election, would it? Not in the US, never! Yeah, right.

One race we should all keep in our sights is Clint Curtis down in Florida-24. Anyone who follows the election fraud issue knows Curtis as the computer programmer who designed election-flipping software for corrupt Congressman Tom Feeney (rated amongst the top 20 most corrupt in Congress 3 years running now by CREW) back in 2000. Now Curtis has turned whistle-blower and election integrity champion and is challenging Feeney for his Congressional seat in FL-24.

But to get to him, he has to first defeat a millionaire Bush democrat put up by the DCCC in the primary! We can't afford any more Democrats-In-Name-Only in Congress. We need fearless Dems not beholden to corporations who are proven fighters. Curtis is that fighter who will take it to the Neocons *and* the do-nothing Corporate Dems. Please send him 5 bucks or anything you can! http://www.clintcurtis.com/htm

Obama's NOT going to be the nominee. Just can't stand it, can you?
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
McCain could be ahead, if the Democrats are losing Independent votes due to all the bickering and infighting. One blogger on WaPo called the Democrats "Itchy and Scratchy".
  • OlderAndWiser · 1 year ago
Remember this about all those polls: Generally, they haven't taken into account events which happened over the past few days, and I believe the Gallup Poll was taken before Obama's speech. These polls will fluctuate, and it will be interesting to find out next week if revelations from Clinton's schedule help or hurt her "foreign policy experience" meme.

Frankly, I don't pay much attention to polls much anymore, unless there is a vast disparity in percentages.
  • Tom3 · 1 year ago
Hillary is Repuke Lite. She's a DLC Dino and a corporate whore.

She's not much better than McCain.

never forget...there are lies, damned lies, and then statistics.
  • GDawg · 1 year ago
Wow, some of you are finally realizing why people trust Fox News Channel as their most trusted news source, not MSNBC. MSNBC is on the bottom. That's a fact.
  • Thurston Howell the Third · 1 year ago
If you were Republican you'd be perfect!
  • moxiegrrrl · 1 year ago
Who cares about this poll anyway? It swings in either direction every 3 days - it's worthless. Gimme a 15 point difference and then I'll pay attention.
